It won't be the same. TNT lets the Inside the NBA crew get away with a lot of stuff. NBC and ESPN won't let them be their selves. This also includes people behind the scenes like Underdog.

Y'all are underestimating how good inside the NBA actually is. When the game is a blowout or not very entertaining, they keep the show going even when the game is an interesting anymore you still want to hear what they have to say so it keeps your eyes on the screen and you don't turn the channel. You can't compare this to any other commentator like Joe Buck and them they aren't entertaining enough to carry the show when the actual game is whack

It's not just Ernie, Kenny, Shaq and Chuck, it's the entire production team that makes this show what it is. The pranks, skits, and edits is its on character. Not having Ernie and that production team w/ the players will be like having a cheeseburger w/ no top bun. You can put all the fixins on it and it still may be delicious but consuming it will be quite the task you will eventually just starting eating something else.

I don't know why people haven't learned that, no matter how much one doth protest, all of this is strictly & structurally profit driven. If the commas line up then it stays. Y'all are forgetting the fact that these companies aren't taking y'all "in your feelings" comments into consideration. Regardless of how you feel, the largest part of the pie...the areas the advertisers are targeting...is what is going to drive this deal. The NBA itself is the prine real estate. Now it'd be nice if all those acres came witg a fully furnished house with it but I'm not all that concerned about it in the long run. "But people think you should have this specific house here because it will make the landscape that much more attractive." Then they need to purchase this land from me. I got investors ready to turn this thing into another conglomerate that we can maximize profit from....without that house you love so much. Folks are too emotional about this and I get it. But that's not how Businesl$$ works for these companies and corporations. Period.

Looool, nba ratings have been declining, and most people watch nba on tnt for the cast of chuck, shaq, kenny, and ernie. So Shannon's argument is silly. I think most people avoid the espn halftime show like the plague, so they lose rating when people see Stephen a's hairline begin to peak out. Good programming and good presentation of said programming go hand in hand. Because when the programming (a blowout) happens, good presentation (the inside guys) need to pick up the slack and make light of it. That's what inside the nba does best.

Unc makes it awfully simplistic here. Sure it's about the money. But that's not what we're talking about. Firstly, there is no NFL show that compares to Inside the NBA neither in format nor personalities. There is no show in any sport rn that is worth watching like Inside the NBA. I work in the tv industry and the big problem is that people are forgetting about people like myself and the background people the production staff. That's what chuck ernie shaq and Kenny are worried about because nbc can get them but it's the rest of the crew. I worked for the WWE in the truck and Cena and taker were always cool. It won’t be the same. But if reports are accurate $2.5bn NBC bid is hard to ignore. The TNT won’t go over to NBC. Barkley has said so. NBC would love that crew switch over but Ernie is loyal to TNT. That said… Shaq, Kenny & Charles won’t leave without Ernie.

The problem is that Ernie has said he doesn’t wanna leave Turner and has said that he wants to stay loyal to them. He said he’s at an age to where he doesn’t wanna learn to work with a new network, so if Turner doesn’t have the show, there won’t be any Earnie. 🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️
