00:00 I'll cut you down 05:45 Dead eyes of london 10:00 The pusher man 16:10 Melody lane 21:50 Death's door too bad there are no songs from mind control. good gig anyway
Can't get over the fact that separately they sound very different but together you get the voice from the record, I thought they were the same person, it was a pleasant surprise lml
My gawd.. I'm sweeping youtube for lives with these guy.. they sure blew me away on may 1 in Malmo, Sweden. Went for Ghost came out their greatest admirerer. Wow 🖤❣🖤
First song that really connected with me and felt something special was Slow death, now waiting for blood and pusher man are my favorites. One of my favorite bands .
Seems like I'm tha only person in Nashville Tennessee that knows this band! Makes me feel special. But wen I do turn people on to em, all I hear is wtf!!! How did you find these guys!??
Same. They were quite impressing when I saw them as support of Ghost in Vienna on May 11th. It seemed like Kevin managed to improve his live vocals compared to this gig! 👌🤘
Their live album just dropped. I said it before, I'll say it again: Uncle Acid's live album is the first live album I was actually excited about. Live albums don't usually do it for me, rarely they capture a live show's energy. This one did though.
It's rare to find live videos of metal that doesn't have crap audio from the internal microphone used in the camera. Soundboard audio always sounds flat for live music so I appreciate the quality audience microphones you used! What was the recording setup you used? Its fantastic!!! Thank you 🪨 🎸 🤘
I didn't know you were into these guys ! Well . I never heard of them . Why are you here ? I LIKED THE NAME . They Have to have ALL LOVE , Hell and Shangraladidah , with that moniker ...
Oh they used to have a projector behind them that showed like horror vintage movies, but then they realized it was distracting the audience away from their performance.
Love their music and sound but don’t dig their vocals, can’t understand a word and sounds like someone far away yelling into a tin can in a high pitch voice. But the vocals sound a lot better live than the studio ones
I really dig their albums and videos but those vocals live??!!? Damn!!?!! Its ok to use some pitch correction. Im pretty sure they have pedals and other things for that. Its ok. No one will judge
Dude exactly! Don’t dare ask the same question directly to Kevin on Instagram. He’ll shut you right down. I couldn’t keep my mouth shut about how drastically different the vocals are live to which he had to tell me - “maybe you should appreciate a 2-person harmony”. Gtfo man. It’s night and day. 2022 and in some bizarro universe he thinks that their “2-person harmony” is comparable, or even holds its own live. Out of his f*cking mind. I would never in a million years see these guys live, especially not after that cop out of an explanation. Oh and “it’s never gonna sound exactly the same”. Cause ya know, I expected a mirror audio live. Kinda turned me off.
dunno with you but it's great. it just doesn't have the lofi effect to it that's constantly on every album and is being drowned out by the instruments (of course it would be, it's heavy metal). It's really trippy to listen to because I've never listened to the vocals without them.
@@61subsandnovideos It's... not great. I'm a huge Uncle Acid fan since I picked up that Mind Control album long ago, but this is so off-tune and hesitant it's painful to listen to. And every vid of them live I saw was like that. I love Uncle Acid's studio vocals, and I know singing in front of a crowd is hard af, especially while playing an instrument and harmonizing... But they need to either fix this or go instrumental/playback live. I'm not joking, this is not a performance you can sell to an audience.
@@XViTNg Nah really, I just listened to Melody Lane again. It's not as bad as I remembered but it's reason enough to go ask your money back at the ticket booth. First, the sound is dreadful. The balance needs to be done better, and they need to pay attention to their volume when they sing. I can barely hear Kevin over the second part when he's in head voice, but the volume jumps massively when he switches to throat. Volume is adjusted by positionning yourself further from the mic. He needs to be louder in the mix and just stand back when he goes out of his head voice. Then, the harmonized parts are all very hesitant, and some notes are simply skipped because they're listening to each others trying to find the correct pitch, not wanting to sing loudly a dissonant note. It just sucks the energy out of everything they're trying to achieve with the song. It's a very driving, chugging riff that is supposed to irresistibly plow through everything, it tolerates no hesitation. I realize singing is something very personal and I'm not saying I'd do better. But I'm not living of my singing, or trying to. Some people lived of their harmonized singing. The Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel, or Yes, for example. All singing and playing much more complex parts than this.
