Uncle Ruckus crashes the 2013 NAACP Image Awards in promotion of his new film The Uncle Ruckus Movie. If you want it show your support at www.uncleruckusmovie.com.
He probably wanted to be careful just in case he said or did anything that caught the attention of somebody who didn't know the character, or didn't realize he was doing a bit. Thus trying to stick to the character well enough to be recognizable, without going overboard.
He's Gary Anthony Williams, often on whose line is it anyway, in fact just saw him on stage doing a live whose line a week ago in san francisco. And yes, he's lost a lot of weight and looks great. he'd probably do an even better live action uncle ruckus now cos he's so much healthier so he can bring more ruckus. He's also an amazing voice actor and he did a live improv Louis Armstrong song and his impression is incredible.
I'm so glad this is the actual guy who does his voice too. He can get away with it all and he should! Rukus is one of the funniest characters ever made
@@uglycheater Well not exactly. It's a show about African American culture. It's critical of African American society and American society as a whole. I don't think it would have gone well today because it's not like today people are ''more aware'' of the issues the show discusses, instead, they're extremely polemic and resort to diatribe by default. Dave Chappelle made very similar satirical comedy that The Boondocks did and look how ''mainstream'' audiences and the media treat him. They call him a racist at every single chance they get. And they miss the point of his jokes.
@@savage7882from my deep analysis of this situation I finally came to a profound discovery bound to change the sociological aspect of the human experience!
you guys are fuckin ridiculous. this show would thrive today it's literally popular with new generations. it's not that old of a show like mf it's still popular and blows up on tiktok and Instagram.
@@gottfriedhub Make a movie, people do it everyday! You just need an I-Phone, some hand-me-downs and some duct tape and wah-lah! Sacha Baron Cohen did this type of character comedy with just a camera at the beginning. Ruckus can do it!❤
@Zao 70 Naah m8 More like the Waluigin "WAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" With the twist of the classic Tom and Jerry "WA HAHA HA HAA" Psh, you know-it-all plarb Up your knowledge
I love that literally anyone else doing this in public would be completely demolished socially but Uncle Ruckus just has that right reserved for him lmao
0:37 Best lines "you don't feel like the lady behind you is about to reach into your pockets" "you're so pretty you almost look white" damn good it feels like he might had co-written he's character
I would LOVE to see people today absolutely breaking down mentally from an Uncle Ruckus movie being made. And the balls on this guy! Sending Uncle Ruckus to crash a freakin' NAACP gig! LEGENDARY!
He did a very good job at portraying Uncle Ruckus. I whish them the best with the live action movie and hope it becomes a hit. We all know the world right now could use a lot of laughter and really offensive jokes to crash and burn the egos of those that take themselves too seriously.
The honestly made me emotional . EVERYONE he interacted with was so happy and having a great time. This is what racial healing is. Everyone having a laugh at what is absurd
if as twitter you mean general social justice, that doesn't make sense since the point of uncle ruckus' character isn't problematic - it's not perpetrating harmful systems it's satirizing them or in other words i guess some people might get angry about it but it wouldn't be any actual social justice activists it'd be dumbasses
It's hard. I miss the Boondocks but unfortunately it ended exactly when it should've. There's no way it could air today and still be as raw as it wants.
I just relaized hes from boondocks. Why dident he have a movie ? That would be awsome ! Have him with Borat or Tom Green any of those guys. hes truely a character.
We're ready. He didn't get green lit because he was too reserved he might have looked like ruckus but he didn't sound like him, held back way too much.
Deanomartino11 I have seen almost every episode and I was quoting the episode from the 1st season when Uncle Ruckus (no relation) was a security guard for Mr. Wuncler.
You gotta respect that they accept his humor because they know what he's about and they he's satire as it stands, it's like seeing Deadpool somewhere you just gotta roll with it
Well he was just happy knowing that he wasn't the only white man attending a gathering full of black folks 🤣 he knew his white brothers and sisters would have his back if he got jumped
With all the racial relations stuff going on right now, we need Uncle Ruckus now more than ever. No other character can satirize the issues, summarize the points, or be as accessible to all Americans, no matter which side of the aisle you're sitting on.
@@jonathanwells223 It's not a fat suit. He's just a big black man in real life. That's why this worked so well. He sort of looks like the character he plays. The only thing fake about it is his eye, and the hair.
If he was acting like full on Boondocks Ruckus he'd probably get his ass kicked...Not at a convention full of rich yuppies like this, but in most other instances
Uncle Ruckus: Are you comfortable sitting around these people (BLACK)? White Girl: Yes, wish I was just as beautiful as they’re. Uncle Ruckus: You just being nice girl.. I know you not comfortable. I’m dead 🤣🤣🤣
His impression is spot on except for that he's much kinder to black people than Ruckus tends to be. XD If I'd known about this back then I would've backed the project for sure.
I love Uncle Ruckus. It doesn't make me uncomfortable. I really wish that there was more comedy like this mainstream. Not being able to joke about racism doesn't make it go away. In fact I think when we all joke about it together it makes our relationships stronger. I fucking love black people. I love their voices. I love their hair. I love there skin and there beautiful faces and lips and eyes. And I love that certain something that they have inside of them. Each race has their own thing it seems like. And I love each and every one of them. I don't want to live in a world that doesn't have all of those different things I see in different people
"I fucking love black people. I love their voices. I love their hair. I love there skin and there beautiful faces and lips and eyes" lol damn dude chill out now youre getting kinda weird
