Following the protocols in the Book Super Gut has helped my husband and myself so much. We are 76 and 65 years old respectively. The benefits are remarkable and we are both feeling tremendously better with more energy, sleeping better and much more. Thank goodness for you two and others like yourselves sharing real, helpful advice. Following conventional medical advice lead to decades of merely getting sicker and sicker.

Me too!! I feel like it is taking me a while I have had issues my whole life so I think it's going to take a little bit longer than other people have noted. I love getting all of my starter cultures from cultured foods for life
What about Maggie the rancher from Montana? Carnivore 60 yrs perfect health, zero fiber. Dr. Laura Weideman no fiber over 20 yrs??. Perfect health . Ken Berry no fiber over 6 yrs, Shawn Baker, Anthony Chaffee .. etc. I can go on for days.
Great interview, a lot of great learning, especially sibo yogurt, was bummed about him not recommending sourdough bread, oh well to each it's own, maybe a part 2 someday ...🤞

I purchased the book and did the gut health plan 2 months ago. I still make the yogurt and take the supplements suggested in the book. Unfortunately it did not work for me. I still suffer from constipation and have to take large amounts of magnesium just to have a bm and my hair is still falling out. 😢 The only improvement is better sleep, and my skin looks clearer and smoother.
I have been on the diet since 2020. It has been very beneficial but as the previous comment, I still suffer with constipation constipation. What can I do. I take the magnesium seltzer water.
You might want to explore possible fungal infection and/or parasitic infestation. Pam Bartha on RU-vid teaches on parasites. (She cured herself of MS 35 years ago.)
So many questions that go unanswered on important subjects like this, but I understand they can't be answering hundreds of them. I just wonder the impact of barley in beer and the gut microbiome health. I feel great when I drink beer, especially IPAs (very bitter ones).

Clearly, this woman does not really want to hear what he has to say… She does not agree with him and she is fighting the point as soon as she says the word but or however… That means everything that you said before then is bullshit and I’m not listening. I will not be listening to this woman anymore at all.
So I want to give you feedback it’ll be a year of Super Gut coconut cream yogurt that I make. I make a batch twice a month so I have 2 to 3 teaspoons in the morning and 2 to 3 before bedtime. So I turned 69 in July and for the last three months I’ve noticed my skin on my arms. Looks so smooth like I’m 20 years old. I also been following the bulletproof Dave Asprey for two years. I started adding collagen powder to my bulletproof coffee every morning two scoops which is about 18 g of protein. I eat grass fed beef and I make my own bone broth also starting this year so I’m pretty sure the yogurt is what’s helping the skin cells I know the collagen helps in that too, but I’m pretty sure it’s been the Super Gut yogurt that’s changed everything. PS no mouthwash anymore
Great topic. At 52:03 on grains. I've been making overnight oats with kefir and yogurt with no problems. Without the kefir my face feels itchy almost immediately.
Steak, chicken, fish, lamb, bison, etc. Meat from animals provide sufficient calories. Eliminate grains, sugars, and carbs if you want to optimize your health and wellbeing.
You asked some very good questions. I was particularly interested in how long it takes to get a reaction from foods if you have SIBO. I sometimes will have a reaction immediately, and the next time I eat the same food, I have no reaction or a delayed reaction. Some docs say that SIBO is a motility issue. I know for sure that I do have that issue. I have only watched a handful of videos with this doctor, but haven't heard him mention that. Maybe the motility issue is caused by SIBO ?🤷♀️
Could you just take the tablet? I think my osteoporosis came from antibiotic use. Ruptured appendix at 4 years onward to Cdiff numerous times long term.
Somebody please explain the starter yoga to me once we make a batch and we use a tablespoon or two to make the second batch. Do we keep taking a tablespoon or two out of each batch going forward or do we have to start over each time? I’m a little confused on that part.
Yes. It's that simple. Once you have fermented a batch of the yogurt, then you start the next batch from a little of that and eat the rest - and so on.
Thank you Dr Morgan, you are asking the questions that I am asking too like Oxalates, carnivore diet and ha ha sourdough bread that we can't just give up 😂😂😂 Life is tough for foodies like us having to go through withdrawals not just for gluten foods and then you find the healthy and non gluten foods are high in Oxalates. We need our cakes and now even almond flour won't do! 😅😅
I also have a hiatal hernia and had acid reflux. I say “had” because I went to clean eating, eliminated all further processed foods and added sugars. The only time I have acid reflux now is if I back slide. I no longer have to take any type of antacid.
@@skyblueroan i did that all many yrs ago recently my doc wanted to put me on a ppi but i refused and take famotadine twice a day and i hv to chew tums too . Acv works temporarily.
I had to go to the hospital with acid reflux had bad chest pains and high blood pressure they said to eat apples and drinks Lots of water and raise my bed at the head and eat small meals it works .
Seriously? People celebrate with steak. Make it an occasion because its so good. I eat it everyday. Why is that boring? Its delicious and my body thanks me. 0 gas. 0 inflamation. 0 bloat. Perfect poops. Its what we were meant to eat. @notaras1985
It is very effective, it allowed me to keep me alive without any deficiencies but it didn't fix me, if I eat only meat I don't have that many symptoms but I still haven't fixed my gut permeability. I will probably will be meat based once I manage to fix my gut but the idea is to tolerate the rest of the foods without a reaction.
I know your guests’ intentions are good & of course he is brilliant, but an average person like me is lost with all these directions, etc. Way too complicated. I am most assured that he is correct, but even though I am not a yogurt eating person, nor do I like it, I would be willing to try the yogurt on a daily basis. Unfortunately I unable to even comprehend the basis of making my own yogurt.
His book has the recipes and instructions. If it’s new to you take your time. I marked my book up with pens and highlighters so I could re-read things I found interesting or new to me. I made recipes cards and even my 76 year old husband can make it. It is well worth the learning journey. My husband totally surprised me, he always said he didn’t like yogurt but he loves this, especially with some fresh berries. He has a website too for more information.
It’s super easy to make. And it really is delicious besides nutritious. I bought the book and then while I was waiting for my yogurt maker to arrive and my yogurt strains that I ordered to arrive. I watched RU-vid after RU-vid on how to make my yogurt. When everything I ordered arrived I went right to it and immediately put my yogurt on and 36 hours later I had my beautiful, delicious, nutritious thick and creamy yogurt. I love it! There’s lots of help out there that makes it super easy. Happy Fermenting!😊
@@britneymoe7614are you in good health? I think a lot of veggies of different kinds feed the microbiome. I have been having gut problems since I had food poisoning from eating out and it has been a year that I’m still not ok so I have been trying to get my gut right. I discovered that yogurt and kefir is not what the bottle says. The only one that has some good real bacteria is lifeway. But the one that Dr. Davis suggests is the one you put the right bacteria and it multiplies in the millions if not more and that heals your gut. I don’t have time sometimes to make it but I am trying for a few months and I will see how it goes. It’s time consuming because I live in a place where I have to drive a long way to get the milk.
I have read Super Gut. I bought his LR Superfood starter. Also, ordered Dr Mercola’s L Gasseri. Do I also need to purchase Bacillus Coagulans? If so, what brand is best?
Please ask Dr. Davis how are these types of flora in SIBO yogurt get through stomach acid while other probiotics do get killed by this acid? Maybe that is why the probiotics in Sibo yogurt don't live long enough in the gut as ones received from mother given to a baby?
The yogurt that he recommends making is fermented at a lower temperature for 36 hours. The bacteria doubles every four hours. The yogurt you buy in the grocery store is fermented for four hours. His yogurt has been tested and has 200 to 300. Billion due to fermenting time.
@@pamskaggs2788my question was about any probiotics including dr. Davis yogurt being taking orally by yogurt/ by capsule are easily killed by strong acid of stomach. Your answer doesn't address it
