His kind of teaching has contributed to the epidemic of spiritual and even sexual abuse we are seeing in today's church!!! Dr Diane Langberg has a fantastic teaching on abuse in the church. I'm sorry, but after studying the Scriptures A LOT, from every angle & defense of both positions.......I have to disagree regarding your aspect of 'female teachers' & not teaching men.......notice in that passage he says that "HE" doesn't permit a woman to teach, BUT YET in Eph 4:9-14 Paul Himself lists the ministries that CHRIST gives to the church...there is NO gender specificity listed there with these ministries....IF these ministries were for men only, Paul would have listed it there in Eph 4 to be consistent, but he didn't....SO, what does this say?? LOOK AT THE CONTEXT of why Paul is writing to young Timothy....what were the GREEK women doing there? what was happening to where Paul said that "he" didn't permit a woman to teach.....context is everything & we have to let the entire Bible define the Bible....not a verse here & there. ALSO, the Bible doesn't say a woman can't teach a man...MANY use the "do not usurp authority over a man" as a 'proof-text' of a woman not teaching a man, BUT here is the thing: it's not the man NOR the woman in the pulpit that is the authority...THE WORD OF GOD is the authority....so a woman teaching God's Word INS"T usurping authority...not at all. AND IF ONE wants to utlize Paul's words quite literally about a woman not teaching, WHY DO WE GLOSS over the requirements for the woman that he lists right along that one:: such as not wearing breaded hair, no jewelry, AND to sit in submission quietly & learn from home?? no singing, no praise team, no opinions, no teaching children, etc etc.....QUIET submission? AGAIN, bc/ there is context to what Paul is writing to Timothy about. I'm as conservative as they come......and I think that the Word shows that if the main elder (pastor...bishop, presbyter, elder all are the same person/office in the greek) is a male & covering the ministry: then what flows under is good to go....that includes women. no compromise here at all. and if a man ever says that he cannot learn anything from Scripture that a woman is teaching is nothing more than self-righteousness and smugness....we are talking about God's Word & we can ALL learn. You are not "conservative as they come" you're a charismatic following the party line nothing more. Not a verse here and there , well, that's exactly what you're doing. You talk of context, which is important, but you never really give any context with a verse to prove your point. What were the Greek woman doing there, you ask that like a gotcha moment. Well I wasn't there and neither were you. I'm sure you know the bible better than I do, however that doesn't make you right , "the husband of one wife " what context based on what Greek women were doing do you twist that. And correct me but isn't there supposed to be a plurality of elders, not just one man as has become the way modern church is done, which in my opinion is why there is so much corruption in the church. Most are a brand now like furtick, his church, not Christ church, amazingly his wife preaches too, a coincidence that happens a lot. Always appreciate someone who study the bible even if I disagree, God bless.

@@jimmybrowning4888 appreciate the conversation, but I don't appreciate the conjecture towards me......I'm sorry, but I try hard not to 'follow a party line so to speak (as you accused me of). I stopped doing that a long time ago in my ministry.....I care about what God's Word says & I pursue God's Word on matters. The context regarding the Scripture I was referring to is the context of the place & people that Paul was writing to Timothy about & what was going on there. How did the culture act in the church...what the church was like etc....and I wasn't referring to the elder/bishop/or presbyter in the church (same role for those greek words). I was talking about women speaking...& we do see in 1 Cor 11:1-2 that if the woman is 'covered' it's good....this can apply to ministry & why I said what I did about if the lead elder/bishop/presbyter (IE pastor) is male, they are covered in that ministry. (1 Cor. 11:5 Paul shows women doing this in the church). Regarding the 'plurality of elders', there are various passages in the NT regarding appointing multiple elders, but there is no Scripture forbidding just one at each church that was established. We even see that in the letters to the 7 churches in the first few chapters of Revelation, they were written to 'the angel of the church in.....'....many believe this is referring to the lead elder (we call it pastor today) of that specific church. And MOST church actually do have a plurality of elders if you consider associate pastors serving, youth pastors serving, or other ordained ministers serving in different roles...even administrative. It's all good.....again, appreciate the dialogue. I don't want to be divisive or argumentative....these matters are actually non-essentials and people in the Body of Christ can disagree on these matters. Blessings on you as well...I DO agree with your assessment about quite a few ministry becoming more like a 'brand', and that saddens me.....Christ is the Major that we all need to focus on, rather than the minors. Generational curses, a word from the lord, a new season, breakthrough is around the corner, binding and cursings, decree and declaring, Jesus spoke to me personally, entering the courts of heaven, soul ties, calling the holy spirit down to enter the room and move around us. It's insanity, these vile abominations that call themselves apostles, prophet and prophetesses, God detests them and has prepared the lake of fire for them.

That's sad, just shows how much influence the Bevere's have and how damaging their teachings are.

I once found quite a lot of money spread throughout the pages my Bible when I picked it up to read it. I remembered soon after that I had put it there for save keeping, however I considered it a miracle because I found it when I needed it.

Yes, it's really a "culture" of control.

They donate a lot of the income from their books to translate and distribute books in poor countries. They do make money but God did not say we were not to. You sound a bit envious

Yes, well put, and if his first book that he told sid , God wrote, because he was very poor writer giving out his SAT scores to prove it. So that being said john bevere gave us scripture. Same as the bible right, if God is the author then it's scripture and should be added to our bibles. I believe Bevere is a money hungry liar and he and his family have found a cash cow 🐄.

Some of his older ones are the worst. The problem is that he makes such major errors in his interpretation of scripture (his whole hermeneutical lens is flawed) that any good he does say could be found in other sources. I have read a few of his books, and picked up errors (such as the ones mentioned in this video) in all of them.

"Ask, and you shall receive" - the context is not a two way conversation with God. Answers and guidance can come in different ways, through the scriptures, wisdom, wise counsel, even circumstances, but you would have to show me where it's normative in scripture for believers to have a dialogue with God. Very often, what we are listening to is simply our own thoughts - which may actually be sanctified, pure, and wise thoughts, but not the "voice of God" as many suppose.

No, I think I've given examples of the Beveres errors which go far beyond traditional Pentecostal teachings - such as word of faith/dominion theology, etc. While I may disagree with certain Pentecostal teachings and practices, I'm not saying any Pentecostal teacher is a false teacher.

Your comment has no substance. Please work through the examples I provide, the arguments I make, point out where I'm twisting the scriptures, and then refute my claims and back up the Beveres teachings with scripture in context. But thanks for watching anyway.
