Burnout is one of the most common reasons for athlete's to quit their sport. People often view burnout as a time to naturally end sports participation at the competitive level. However, burnout is often the result other interests becoming more of a desire yet the sport is getting in the way, or there are unresolved challenges that the athlete does not know how to overcome.
Both of these challenges can be alleviated if the athlete has a proper plan in place to deal with the reason for their specific burnout. In this video, I'm touching on many common reasons for burnout, how to support the athlete that is suffering from burnout and how to avoid future incidents of burnout from occurring.
