The problem with these suburban nightclubs was the violence. Fights over things like you slept with my sister, young men fighting over the same girl etc. They all close down due to very serious incidents. Stylus nightclub in ferntree gully. Bloke throws a 10kg rock onto a car on Burwood highway killing the driver after a brawl outside the club. Off duty cop bashed badly inside juice nightclub Ringwood. Etc etc etc

I spend more time in Frankston these days but as soon as you mentioned Blairgowrie and the Conti the memories flooded back...I still live down that way and won't be leaving ever!!....Another cool video Bro , cheers :P

Shooter’s was a cesspool back in 2003/04. I worked the door there for a short while. Patrons with knives. Patrons belting each other with pool queues. I couldn’t believe how seedy the place was.

I worked security at Kittens back in 99/2000. Upstairs was the strip club . Downstairs stairs was called ‘lush’.

I remember driving 2 hours from the country and jumping the fences to that Summerdaze, New Years day 07 after an all nighter. Next thing I was pinging at the front watching Basement Jaxx. Them black clouds were CRAZY. Another all nighter, but we couldn't bear to be bored in the country while our mates were at SD's, so at 10am we were like " let's fucking go" and hit the road with no tickets.

My Dad was part owner in the Manhattan, owned Forresters Arms, Loaded Dog, and Sir Henry Barklay, all prior to 1989 recession. I'll Never forget as a kid the topless barmaids at the Manhattan.

Been around frankston since around 2005, grand used to have some events on but never really took off. Went to glacier once i think around 2009/2010 didn't last for long. Davies was the main venue for years but always fights. Seen heaps of international bands at pier live, and dancefloor still rotates, went to a dj night there last year bit of an interesting experience haha Forgot to mention ha Penny's used to be pretty good for pub type venue was pretty small.

Have come down the few flights of stairs at the 21st on my feet but one night getting thrown out decided to fall or push myself and bouncers down with me and my mate and 4 or 5 security at the bottom I was grabbed so hard I passed out and was thrown out front door on the concrete onto my face losing half the skin woke up calling them weak and not men just bottles of roids.... For about three years, 2013 - 2016, The Grand held a Thursday night called “Unique Thursdays”. All my friends would go to Unique every Thursday night in Year 12, then stumble back home to Frankston North, walk in fucked to Business Management class on Friday.

The last time I went out drinking in Frankston on a Friday a couple of years ago I was the last person standing outside the fish n chip shop at 1:30am and I was 45 years old. The last club had closed and everyone had gone home. I couldn’t believe it - I have watched most clubs I liked in the suburbs close down one by one. Australian nightlife particularly in the suburbs has almost died off completely - it’s a shame. They are happy for you to work hard and pay off a big mortgage and pay your taxes but don’t dare have any fun. People come from overseas and can’t believe how boring the suburbs are - even Sydney city has a bad wrap from many travellers. Save your money and party overseas for two weeks once or twice a year that solves the problem. Rant over.

There’s a seedy as pool hall in Franga called 8-ball. Stay the fuck away if it still exists. A mate and I were drugged, robbed and dragged down an alley, a common story I later learnt.

I remember going to 21st Century nightclub in Frankston when I was dating a chick down that way when i was 21 lol. Wheelers & Stamos in the Sth East use to go off on a Thursday/Friday night in 2009/2010 just like Qroom was back then in Thomastown my old Local stomping grounds. Great times 😉😂

Lol Lava Lounge NYE I think 2008 I went, doing bourbon and cokes they had happy hour doing 2 at a time scooping the ice out on to the floor... happy hour the bourbon changed to this cheap home make shit I think and doing 2 at a time every 10 min the bathroom was full no lie full of spew running under the door.. oh man it was full of woman with wrinkles all over their backs.. about 50 bourbons and cokes about 2am jumped in the car drove home.. everyone just drove home absolutely legless she'll be right, Also Berwick Springs Nite Club .. Oh that was called Blitz shit I didn't know what it was called just turned up, ripped shirts every night.. mad Bouncers mid 2000s got thrown out right there on the asphalt, then spent the night on phone abusing them trying to get them to pay for my shirt..
