Amanda agree! To me we care about our appearance when we buy clothes, do our hair, wear makeup etc. not to mention working out. Nothing wrong with any of it. ❤️
I agree with you. if somebody wants to take care of them self why not. if you can improve your appearance what is wrong with that as long as you know your limit.
Total agreement. But even more in Dominique's case or other folks in visual fields, their appearance has a direct impact on their professional careers. I'm in information technology so nobody cares so much what I look like at my desk :-) but it if they did, I would also use every means possible to feel good and look good and maintain my earning ability.
Thank you for asking the price! Too often that topic is never addressed and most of us have a budget. For my 68th birthday my husband just gave me lip injections (always had very thin lips and now smoker wrinkles even though I’ve never smoked). I was all hot to trot until I realized nobody would see my new fabulous-ness behind my mask! I’m waiting now until life gets more normal.
Many, many people are having things done now , because the work would not be seen behind the mask. But then when the masks are gone then you have the new you
I am one of those who cannot fathom being near a needle unnecessarily but this was wonderfully educational. So nice to better understand what our choices are!
Lauren S When you are in a fertility treatment you use the same syringe to do IUI or IVF and you save it in your refrigerator, the only thing you change is the head of the needle. Probably this is how they do it.
@@christopherone1 actually ithought that kinda strange too, how would he know how much to start with, but if the syringe is full then what do they do with what's left, agree that if "touched" it will not be the same, that's my thinking anyway. Def a personal decision!
First of all, we don't know that he withdrew the entire vial, he may have only used part of the vial, since we didn't actually see him withdraw, plus he knows how much to use on each side. Secondly, the needles are sterile, so no contamination when drawing out of the vial. Also, the needle is discarded after use, therefore, no contamination, and a new, sterile needle will be used next time.he draws from the vial. Thirdly, insulin expires in a short time, so not a good comparison to something that lasts longer, like Restyline especially if refrigerated. Not all drugs have the same shelf life. The doctor used proper sterile technique, as he was taught in training, many years ago.
just fyi, he was not completely honest. we now know that fillers actually stick around for a very long time, possibly forever. rather than dissolving, they move down with gravity or where movement pushes them, and eventually turn into puffiness. there are a number of videos on youtube about it. i got undereye restylane a decade ago and regretfully still can see it, but not where i want to. hope it works better for dominique and others but beware.
@@christopherone1 no no He doesn't draw up the amount he is saving, only draws up what he uses in that one procedure, that day. The other remains untouched
How lucky are you! Dr Aguilar is special indeed. Practical, experienced and most important easy to understand. I actually realize the mistakes my doctors office has been making with me. Thanks Dr Aguilar! I love when Dominique visits you!!
So very brave! I could not watch when you were getting the needle! I feel you were beautiful without any filler. Thanks for being so brave..love watching you every week!
Thank you for being transparent, Dominique! It's time to lift the veil and for us ladies to be more open about what we have done. No shame! Just taking care of ourselves, like getting our nails or hair done.
I have the undereye tear troughs! To camouflage it cosmetically, my secret is the Pixi Correction Concentrate, applied with a brush, and foundation on top of it. This injection option would be great, though!
I agree! The Pixi corrector is excellent! I've been using it for years. I also use a small brush to apply it, just like you do, along the dark tear trough, and then apply concealer over top. It really does help to cancel out the darkness. It's amazing what a difference it makes. Wonderful product!
This was very kind of you to show the procedure. I enjoyed listening to him. I don't have anything done to myself, but it's still ALL very interesting!
Thank you for this Dominique! At age 56, things are starting to go south on my face and I’m starting to see my lower eyes changing...it’s great to have this info before going to see a professional. xx
I've had lower lid fillers for my hollows, and I will go back to my doctor soon, so this video is so helpful. Dr. Aguilar is the best explaining in detail in such a easy to understand way for me. Dominique was wonderful asking the right questions I would ask. They made a great team. Thank you so much.
Love it!! Makeup can only do so much. Injectables are amazing. I get fillers to help both contour my jawline and add volume to my lips. Botox in my forehead and 11’s. I don’t have a problem under my eyes yet but this is awesome. To each their own! 😘
Now that everything is hidden behind a mask except the upper third of my face, I feel like my eye and eyebrow game need to be 3 times stronger! Thank you for the informative video.
This is such good news, thank you! I guess I really must see a dermatologist. Ugh, at 67 I just had cataract surgery, the results to my vision are a bloomin' miracle but I'm sure seeing "extras" in my makeup mirror.
You're a wealth of information!! Thank you for all you do Dominique, for us ladies over 50 or any age. And thank you for being who you are, you're my favorite news anchor here in Houston. We just love you! xo
I agree! Dominique is AWESOME! I just found her RU-vid channel and I am hooked! ☺️ Thank you Dominique for your time and expertise 😉 I love all of your clips! Great JOB! 💐🏆🥇💃
Would love to see a before and after without any concealer. I’d consider this because mine really bother me. No amount of concealer helps and I always look tired. Didn’t realize it was so much though.
Each one of us has the personal decision to do this, or not do this. I appreciate you for doing this and showing us the procedure, and this wonderful doctor. My left side of my face has problems...loss of collagen and muscle strength. I might consider doing this and that’s my decision. But if I don’t, that’s my decision. I don’t have the right to judge. God bless you Dominique♥️♥️♥️
I agree. It's a personal decision that is not to be taken lightly. Everyone is different in this regard. I would never do something like this. I hate needles to begin with. No, thanks. Just my opinion. 😊
You are such a class act. So beautiful and so honest and authentic. I started watching your videos when I turned 40 last year and you make me excited for the future!
I appreciate the transparency with your viewers. I often see so many women on YT who do not disclose what work they've had done and they rave about certain products that make dark circles go away. Yet they have fillers that have helped them. 🧐 So thank you!
Yeah, as a youtuber I try to always be transparent. But I DO understand why they dont. Have you seen all the rude comments Dom has been getting. She's genuinely so sweet. It's discouraging.
Thanks for being honest about doing procedures like this, there’s nothing worst that people that lie about having anything done on their face or body, even when it’s obvious, it’s just ridiculous. Doctor is so nice, also the fact that he would store the rest of the fillers for that long, it’s awesome, I’ve been to many ones that would only save the rest for only one week. I love all videos 💗
Dominique Sachse and Dr Fred A thank you eye health is very important and eyes are the future..Thank you again for sharing your understanding of health
Well if I ever decide I want to do this, I will hop on a plane from Norway just to see this doctor. I have more faith in him than all the other doctors around 😊🥰. Thanks for sharing this with us. Love from me in Norway 🥰
I am turning 31 in January and since this pandemic my hollowed under eyes are more prominent due to lack of sleep crying and hydration. My outter orbital eye sockets are very noticeable. Thank you for this.
Excellent information 👍, I just had an upper eyelid surgery about a month ago. As someone who always had hooded eyes I'm amazed at the difference in my eyes now. Although I had it done because my lids were dropping and interferring with my vision I'm so happy with the new shape of my eyes l, for the first time in my life I have eyes that look open.
You are so brave! I would have had a driver to take me there and back. AND lots of numbing meds! Thank you for making this video to help people see what this procedure entails! 💖
Mine do as well looks like I have two black eyes unless I cake concealer on it. I’m going to do something about it one day. Have you seen the concealer tattoos?
The puffiness comes from an accumulation of fat or fluid collection, the flip side as in this case is hollowness.. Unfortunately as we age the muscles in our face begin to slacken and we get aging around the mouth and jaw etc... There are massages you can do to help with drainage around the eyes
It's also from allergies. That's what I have. I have fluid build up around my eyes from my allergies. I also sleep on my stomach, which can add to the puffiness around my eyes. I try to sleep on my side, which helps to decrease the puffiness under my eyes.
I watch these make up videos on this channel because it radiates a feeling of honesty and confidence.I get the feel of trust from her. They have made me see things in a different perspective and changed my mind about certain things. I can't speak for other men however.
The cosmetic surgeons or derms I have spoken to said under eye fillers are not a good idea because the risks are far too great. Anything around my eyes scares me.
Hyaluronic acid exists in the cells that are part of your skins' complex matrix of connective tissues. In products like Juvaderm and Restalyn, the hyaluronic acid is completely biodegradable and proven to work with human cells. From what I've read, because it's considered an all natural ingredient, there is little to no risk of allergic reaction, and because the hyaluronic acid is synthesized from bacteria rather than taken from an animal source, it can be used by vegans.
It’s not really about the fillers. It’s all the blood vessels and nerve endings below the eye. I listened to this doc describe how he mitigates those risks, but it still sounds scary to me.
Thanks Dominique, I was one of those who asked about the under eye last week and you answered my questions with this video! Time to get my eyes done! Wish your Dr. was in NJ!
Hi Dominique! Thanks for sharing your experience with us. It takes the mystery out of these procedures and makes them seem a lot less daunting! I was wondering what you do to prevent dry/scratchy throat and coughing while you're on-air and when you're doing your RU-vid videos? I sometimes struggle with this when I teach online classes for my hospital via Facebook Live. I LOVED your tutorial about Zoom calls and how to set the stage/what to wear/lighting!! I'm implementing your tips both personally and professionally (I'm a mother-baby nurse and I teach breastfeeding classes, run a virtual support group, and also teach a New Sibling class). I always look forward to Thursdays!! Thank you for what you do.
I was just talking to a friend about under eye filler! This was perfect information! I only wish your doctor was in Florida. Thank you for always sharing!!!😘
IN So. Fl I highly recommend Dr. Joseph Astaphan in Ft. Lauderdale he’s fabulous & doesn’t over due anything. He’s also an anesthesiologist. He’s wonderful!
I am a medical clinician and did my own tear troughs the other week results are amazing I’m not an aesthetic practitioner but have done my own Botox and fillers for 15 years
Thank you so much Dominique for sharing your visit with us on this. The doctor is very professional and I'm glad it was included about making sure your doctor is board certified. Unfortunately I can't have this procedure as I am one of those people who has fat pads. Wish we could see the procedure for that. Mine is hereditary and as the years go by they seem to get worse. Stay safe everyone!!
This was incredibly helpful, thank you. I went to the Dermatologist just today for micro needling to help to build up collagen on my face. My under eyes are my main problem so I now have a better understanding of what else I should consider in the future. Thank you Dominique for sharing this.🥰
I’m so happy he talked about the whole “triangle of death” or “danger area”. Him explaining how to be safe in that area really helped with my anxiety about getting this ❤️
Oh this was so fabulous and informative!! Thank you for your honesty and transparency!! You look so gorgeous and I think the Dr was fantastic and honest about explaining who is and isn’t a candidate!! Another amazing video Dominique!! Love you girl xxx
Wow that is courageous! I don't think I personally could do this but I am certainly not opposed to any procedures to make us look and feel the best we can! I'm 77 and I work this face everyday and even at my age would not object to anything to look my best ! Good job showing us this technique! U are awesome girl! Hugs Barb 💕
Thank you Dominique and Dr.Aguilar for this video! I appreciate the information! I have an autoimmune disease and would love to get the latest safety statistics and facts on who should/shouldn't get neuromodulators and fillers. Finding this information has been impossible. Different answers from everyone. If you could possibly make a video on that I'd be so grateful. God bless.
My sister & I watch you every week. We're the Mexico City Sisters (SSMC), your biggest Mexican fans. Love the topics you present, U always look amaizing!👍🏼
@@jenc893 I’m on Medicare so it was covered. I don’t remember what the doctor billed Medicare for it. I probably wouldn’t have had it done if I had to pay out of pocket.
What a wonderful doctor! I learned more from him in one video than I have from watching a dozen other RU-vid videos on fillers. I also appreciated his gentle and reassuring manner. I have tear troughs at age 69 from rather substantial weight loss, in addition to aging. It's the one thing about my face I would change.
You are so brave! I loved the information but I could not watch you take one for the team! I’ll wait to see the results later. Thank you for helping your subscribers know the why’s and how’s of these procedures. My hat’s off to you sweet lady! 🙌🏻💪🏻🤜🏻🤛🏻
You are so beautiful and look so natural, it’s hard to tell you’ve had anything done! That being said, it makes me sad to think that wrinkles need to be avoided at all costs! The fact that you have to start botox in your 30’s to “avoid” any wrinkles, as if they are some awful thing that makes us ugly or somehow unacceptable...this is what I can’t get my head or my heart around. ☹️
Thanks so much for doing this post! It was very informative. BTW, just a note to anyone out there having the difficulty with mask slipping down past your nose. You don't need to cover so much under your chin, move the entire mask up, even if the edge is just below your lips or on the edge of your jaw. If you need to you can twist the ear bands to make the mask smaller. You can even tie it into a knot very close to the mask edge, tuck the bulging area to the inside.
I had this procedure done a few years ago and it was the BEST thing I could have done for myself. The Dermatologist put Restylane in and filled in those hollows under my eyes. I look younger, more fresh, less tired...It was very close to being 100% pain free. The cost at the time was appx $500.
Please ask the doctor to talk more about eye bags and how to correct them. I've had them since I was young, but as I've gotten older they've gotten bigger. I look fairly young other than that. It's amazing how quickly he was able to smooth out your under eye hollow!
Great Dr. ..one...let's you save what you do not use..allot of Dr tell fibbys about this. . Two..having you come back in after two weeks to see your progress...xxoooo
How educational and your doctor is terrific. Slow and steady, a little at a time. Explaining everything as he goes, before and after. And he seems like a genuine caring doctor, a sweetheart!💞🌸⛸
@@dominiquesachsetv So many doctors "walk around" questions, wondering why you bothered to ask in the first place. He does seem genuinely kind and caring. You are fortunate to have found him.
I absolutely love her honesty. Aging gracefully is beautiful. As she is🧖♀️Love how she takes good care of yourself. I’m going to be 50 in a few months. I hope I look as good as she does
You may not have had much, but that was a lot informative! And the doctor’s explanations to your questions told us so much about these types of procedures! Thanks, as always! ❤️
Ladies, these dark circles are worry some. You see me without make up, you would think someone has hit me. As long as i can remember, i always had them. I once had fillers injected and it made a big difference. But even with make up, i could never hide them completely.
Love this! Such good, realistic advice for those of us who want to slow down time just a tad 😉 I love little interventions like this that help preserve our looks a little longer rather than some of the extreme stretching/lifts that are so obvious--personal preference 🤷🏼♀️ Thx, Dominique!!!
