Under Fire is a light gun shooter game developed and published by Taito in February 1994 (even if the title screen says 1993) for arcades. The game uses graphics created using digitized photographs and two player gameplay using gun controllers, similar to Konami's Lethal Enforcers. Unlike Lethal Enforcers, the controllers are not traditional light guns but rather operate using infrared technology. They also provide force feedback when the player pulls the trigger.
While the IR technology of the guns for Under Fire was deemed state of the art (and this was years before Nintendo's Wii), this was also a problem for Taito since the guns made it one expensive cabinet, and maintaining the guns was often an issue.
