Hyde's slightly interesting cuz lore wise his sword basically kills immortals but its sorta reflected in the gameplay cuz he's the only one who does chip damage on block with his sword normals which normally requires doing specials to do.

YES! HYDE MY BOY! HIS SONG FINALLY MADE IT HERE! Things is, all the music tracks got updated when Under Night 2 came out recently and been improved in every way. These 2 themes as well got more going on in their 2.0 versions. I will be so happy the day you manage to get to them.

While neither of these are my favourites from Undernight, you can't really go wrong with a Raito OST. He's mostly known for doing meltyblood and Undernight (I can't think of anything else, but it's the dead of night here, so forgive me for that lol). It's strange, I'm not really nostalgic for it, but I'd still say that his work on Melty is more interesting, or well, "Better" then the Undernight stuff. But Like I said, you can't really go wrong with Raito to begin with so maybe it's a preference thing.

UNDER NIGHT IN-BIRTH 2 has remixes of all the songs and for me they are the definitive versions of the songs from this game, I recommend taking a look at these same songs in their versions of UNDER NIGHT 2

Under Night and Melty Blood are both treasure troves of fighting game music and video game music in general. Definitely worth checking into

Oh boy, there's lots to say about Under Night lore-wise, but the most important thing to mention musically is that Hyde's Scraper Sky High is the first character theme written for Under Night and had a lot of reworks until it became what it is now! Also, now that Under Night 2 is out, all the old character themes were remade (some changed more significantly than others) which can make for some interesting comparisons.

I fell in love with Under-Night immediately after the first promo match video for vanilla UNI with Scrapper Sky High. I replayed it so many times just for the song alone! I cant wait for you to dig into more songs from this awesome IP. Raito also composes the Melty Blood OSTs. Both the originals and Type Lumina! He's a fantastic composer with lots of talent! There's never a bad time with Raito at the helm! Check out his official RU-vid channel and his new arrangements for the returning cast in UNI 2.

Character themes in fighting games also have to pull double duty of being fight music most of the time, Hyde and Linne strike me as the "beginner characters"; there is depth to them, but they're both well-rounded enough that you could start with one of them when learning the game, and have a pretty decent foundation for understanding how the game works. Under Night's vibe really encapsulates "chuunibyou fantasy" to me - this kind of overly dramatic with elaborate names for things, dark powers and fantasy in the middle of an otherwise modern day setting. I appreciate that you look into the lore of the game and characters in this one, it really adds just that extra bit of context that informs what the songs are about.

Scraper Sky High is literally Hype, the song, so good. Under night recently got a new game and this new game added "II" versions of all their themes just like BlazBlue does, I recommend trying out Scraper Sky High II

It's funny that you mention how much you're reminded of Street Fighter; Raito commented on Twitter not too long ago that he was inspired by SF all the way back in his Melty Blood days (Third Strike in particular). They're likely to get put on your list at some point, but keep an eye out on Melty Blood Actress Again, Type Lumina, and even the new remixes of these tracks that dropped with Undernight 2 being released recently

under nights music is just incredible, alongside with melty blood music which raito also did, really hope someone puts icefield white knight (specifically the new version from 2 bcs i think u looked at the og) into those recs

No deuteragonist is not just a sidekick to the main character. Think of them like a second protagonist, but the protagonist is most important. Protagonist, Dueteragonist, Tritagonist, etc.

Under night is so good, i feel like you would enjoy monochrome memory its very metal i guess

Undernights ost is great as a whole. Just like in BlazBlue there are now II versions of thhe themes and most of them are upgrades.

I will say that Under Night music is really good, but with the release of its recent game we have gotten the version 2 character themes. Of which Unseen Entities II(Merkava) is my favorite.

Important to note, every UNI theme got a remixed version in UNI2 that generally include the entirety of the first theme along with a new section or 2. unfortunately that means if you react to the UNI2 versions of these chars' themes it'd be mostly the same, so going forward with UNI it may be better to listen to those or both if you want to be comprehensive.
