I live in Saskatchewan and winters here are pretty bad. I regularly wash my car. It's 19 years now, and no rust. All depends on how you take care of your car.

Don’t use dealership too get rust inhibitors,they take your vehicle to the same place, that you would or sometimes not at all, and charge you three to four times the price that you would go yourself and charge you a couple hundred dollars.

Just got my2021 Scat Pack Challenger... Getting Rust Protection done next week. then a bit later some of the paint protection film later in the year.

These extra things offered by the dealers are usually the cash cow for them and a rip off for the customer. If they offer it for free..take it otherwise use something like rust check or krown rust inhibiter.

It takes over a year for the paint on new vehicles to cure so putting paint protection on a brand new vehicle is a waste of money. Most of the waxes, ceramic waxing can be done by yourself and are decent.
