I remember wondering how the band would sound when Aaron left, but Spencer really proved that his vocals could carry the band w/ this album, and they really shined in this song. It’s sill a banger after all this time.
I don’t know why ppl were scared about spee being able to carry an album with his singing, he was on a lot of DTGL. Hell he sung on chasing safety too. I actually like his singing better than Aaron’s.
UnderOath, they say. More like UnderRated for me This song is a fricking masterpiece. The lyrics are so powerful, the slow drums and the power chords make me feel nostalgic and hopeless
This video doesn't get any recognition that it truly deserves. By far one of the best cinematography I've seen in a music video. Oh also, 2024 still checking in to this mammoth of a track ❤
This song is on par compositionally with Returning Empty Handed and We Are the Involuntary. These three tracks are top tier Underoath and are absolute classics!!!
2023 and still think this album is one of underoaths greatest. Dallas Taylor era to disambiguation is such a beautiful evolution. My personal favorite band of all time simply for how they pushed the bar each album, killed it everytime.
Yeah, lots of folks hated on this album because there was no Aaron, but I keep coming back to it. It's so complex and heavy. I think Disambiguation is still one of their best, just so phenomenal
@@ray-ie1hm lol, this is the only record from this band i really care about, cause Daniel Davison. He did also redeemer with norma jean and low teens with every time i die. His drumming is top notch and everything, he is in, is just gold. Other underoath records, i just don't found so chaotic and enjoyable.
It's too late, it's too late now To pry away, to pry away My candle burns on both ends So where does it leave us Standing emptier than we ever left you With your head in the water it's getting harder to breathe So stand up It's too late to pry away Don't get me wrong I'm just as scared as you are now You dropped us off here with no direction But you never even tried to fight the current Watch the water pouring faster into your lungs So breathe in It's too late to pry away But it's hard to hear me when your sinking Down here I wanna see you wash it down wash it down How can you sleep here? I bear the weight of your world I don't believe in a single word you sold to me I bear your burden, for the last time I swear I'm done with all of this It's too late, to pry you away from the undertow I watch it take you, then I walk away Pulmão de Papel É tarde demais, é tarde demais agora Para afastá-lo, para afastá-lo A vela queima nas duas pontas Então onde é que isso nos deixa?
UNDEROATH MEANS ALOT TO ME NOW THAT I AM SOBER AND DOING WELL IN MY RECOVERY!! B4 I JUST LIKED THEM CAUSE OF THERE MUSIC AND THE WAY THEY SOUNDED IT REALLY CAUGHT MY ATTENTION, I KNEW WHAT THEY STOOD FOR THE GOOD LORD!!
Christiancairy21 not particularly. Deftones started in the mid 90s and they got big around 97 when the "Around the fur" record came out. Underoaths career took off about 7 or 8 years later. With that being said I've always heard a little deftones' influence in their music but on this album more so than any previous
Whenever I'm not feeling right or I get anxiety, this is one of my go to videos / tracks to relax and reset me. I often listen to this when taking off on flights as well. Not sure what it is about this song, it would have to be in my top 10 all time songs. Just gives you the right feeling after you watch it. I still can't believe it has under half a million views, insane. But anyways, much love to Underoath for this master piece...
Why do I feel like Underoath is the Greatest pioneers as far as sounds and genres are going. Listin to old northlane then go listin to old underoath like new northlane sounds exactly like this song just like old underoath inspired a whole scene man seriously underoath carved alot of the music we know today.
@@abefromen1 i will maybe call them "hardcore punk/sludge metal" than metalcore. also cancer bats and ken mode can be toss into. every time i die also.
Andrezza ...
I've always liked Underoath, but once this album was released I sort of disliked their newer sound. Now I come back to it, and I'm literally amazed once more! A great incorporation of all their sounds all in one song... Must have grew on me
Unfortunately the nostalgia takes over our hearts :/ however the band will be remembered forever in everyone's life that you enjoy :) Underoath Forever
I don't understand this whole rivalry between the old and new when it comes to this band. All I know is that I spent many a lonely night to this song when I was in my teens and I still like to come here from time to time to remind myself of times past.
After years of listening to this song, I can almost swear this song was written about Aaron’s departure. Lyrically, it lines up so well with all the recent interviews explaining what Spencer felt and how differently he looked at Aaron after he left the band. I could be wrong but I’m almost sure.
this band help me get through so much sht, racism, bullies, haters, back in high school the funny thing is once you confront them they tremble on their own, groupies. underoath is such an underrated band
