You will lose your leg Lol just kidding, if its a complete tear itll just stay that way until you do get set the surgery. Surgery will probably incolve doctors taking a piece of your hamstring muscle or from a cadaver and use minamilly invasive method to insert it and attach it to your bones replacing the acl that you tore. Alot of people do excercises that strengthen their leg muscles like quads and hamstrings because these can regain the stabilty of the knee.so if you can start working on that
hey, after ACL and meniscus surgery i had a ski injury 1 year later, my LCL got extended very hard but not torn completely. after it healed and i got very strong again i can still twist my knee inside like a dislocation (but not) and im scared to come back to surfing, any suggestions?
It would probably be worth it to follow up with your doctor or physical therapist who could help either assure you or provide further rehabilitation insight. The LCL has a good blood supply and should be able to heal effectively, but timing can vary, and if related to other surgeries - imaging may help provide a better picture (pun intended) of your knee health.

Healing times can very, sometimes a knee brace can be helpful for added stability if you are worried about side to side movement.
