I am so glad i stumbled across these lessons, when you break them down with the PDFs it is so easy to digest, I have been playing for many years now and thanks to your videos have only recently realised how the majors and minor chords are relevant to the key signatures. I could play them before, but now i understand the theory behind them and how they are made, thank you so much,these lessons are incredible, keep up the good work, i will be following and progressing as a musician, thank you

@educate1self your best bet to retaining is to incorporate it into your playing/practice. With pen and paper handy decide to write a chord progression in B. Figure out the chords associated with the key of Bmaj and then work with them, keep it simple and keep at it. Remember, Maj, Min, Min, Maj, Maj, Min, Dim (or 7th). This is standard for all keys. What you need to learn though is the Cmaj scale PATTERN. Starts at 6th string 8th fret. Whatever key you are in it will show you the sharps/flats.

@educate1self This ties into modes. There are 7 modes of the major scale. There tons of vids on here explaining it. To nutshell it, 7 notes= 7 modes. Start with C and create triads using the c major scale CDEFGAB. CEG makes a Cmaj chord. First mode (Ionian ) of the C scale is major and so is the triad chord, but DFA makes a minor chord, the second mode (Dorian) is minor and makes a minor triad chord. It lays out like this. Maj, Min, Min, Maj, Maj, Min, Diminished (or 7th). For the 6th ACE=minor

@GuitarLessons365 hey here's an idea 4 a lesson - when(in which chord progressions/over which chords) to use which mode(dorian, phrygian etc...)? :)

@Intotheorchard After looking at the comments on your channel. I think others have better stated the obvious about you and your opinions.
