Great lesson but, very complicated without diagrams for intermediates. Once ya understand it, you'll appreciate just how good this lesson is and, just how much acurate skill this chap coveys. 5*

@crucifyme88 You can do both!! A and F#min are the same key anyway, but if you then play D Pentatonic then E Pentatonic you will be changing keys when you hit those chords. That is how most jazz guitarists improvise (ie to the chord, even though they usually wouldn't play major pentatonic over major chord types). However, a majority of rock, blues, metal players play to the key. You should try both whenever looking for improv ideas. :)

Hey Topdoginuk, thanks for the comment. Just wanted to let you know that if you read the info to the right it has a link to my site which has all the diagrams for this lesson. :)

Another one that blows my mind with theory haha. It's easy enough but I'm confused to what follows for minor scales and such. Is that what you would refer to as a different mode? With that I'm assuming a different mode just means different keys and shapes but same principles as this video showed? Going to see how this works for me now, thanks!

How to you stay in a key using this method? I understand how to change key in any area, but how do I stay in say, c major whilst changing scales? Surely if I wanted to do a i iv v sequence and used the first, fourth and fifth patterns, this would change the key rather than play in C major? Please help!
