Understanding Botox for urine leakage 

Just had my first procedure two weeks ago and I am so happy with the improvement. Truly Life Changing for Me!! However, it definitely hurts!!! Even with the numbing medicine. But it’s a quick procedure and once it’s done there’s no pain. Well worth it if you ask me.

Thanks for explaining it. I had it done today, but I had to get sedation, so I was in the surgical center. The doctor put some dye in my bladder, so it’s coming out yellow when I go to the bathroom.

Thank you for this video. Ihave had this done in Norway because of cramps in my blather with very good resault. I do not get this done for emptying my blather as I have suprapubic cath because of retention after bonemarrow transplant to treat Lymphoma. They put botox on 20 different places in my blather, I think in lines 4x5 shots. I am sedated, so I do not feel anything. Because I do also get botox in my abdominal wall because of ACNES/Ibrahim syndrome they have to plan so I get both procedures done within 24-48 hours so that I do not develope antibodies against botox. Max doses combine is 400 in 3 months, and I think I had 100 in my blather and 120 in my abdominal wall. Good thoughts and prayers sent from Tori, Norway

This was so helpful to me. I have already done the mid Urethral Sling but this OAB is just ridiculous. The pills dry my mouth to the point I almost choke trying to eat. I am hopeful that Botox will help me and this gave me enough info to proceed.

I get Botox every 3 months and it’s painful but it works .

Can botox injection help with overflow leaking?or leaking after you have just had a wee?

I have MS. I have overactive bladder and take medication. Doesn’t help that much. I also have urine retention, would that prohibit me from getting Botox?

After attempting to make an appointment at your office, I was sent home with another patient's medical record. Apparently HIPPA means little to your staff, and nobody was particularly concerned. When I phoned to let your office know, I was told it was lunchtime, and that I should call back. Obvously, improvements are in order. Why would anyone want to go to a medical provider if that is how patients are treated?

You do it in the office? I just had my first botox yhis week & had to go intp yhe hospital & be sedated. I had surgery & therapy 7 yrs ago & have taken the drugs, i did botox in despiration. I am very hopeful BUT sure hope next time can be in office, much less co-pay & prep in office. Thank you for such a great video.

Will this help my neurogenic bladder?

My specialist has mentioned botox as nothing has worked so far. I also have painful bladder syndrome and I am on strong painkiller every day. Will botox help this as well as my overactive bladder. I loved your video thankyou so much

Botox worked the first time, painful. Second and third times did not work…painful as hell! Not doing it again. Very, very painful. On meds don’t help either. Good luck for those who receive treatment. Hope it works for you.

Thank you for the info! My colorectal surgeon suggested botox for my thin stool / tight anal muscle issue. Supposedly, the muscles don’t relax enough. The plan is for me to do PT first. But he seemed to indicate the Botox would just be needed one time. I had thought it would need to be repeated. But he seemed to suggest one time could fix the issue. But that’s not what other people I’ve heard say.

They did put the numbing liquid in and waited 20 minutes. I felt every prick they did. It was very painful. This was the first time I had this done. Is there anything else they can use so it's not so painful.

I should’ve watched this vid before my procedure. I would’ve been less stressed...
