In this video I explain what Microsoft means when they talk about Copilots. There is a lot of confusion about "Copilot" but many don't fully understand what Microsoft is talking about when they talk about Copilots. This video helps you understand what kind of copilots exists and what is meant by each.

Hi Dewain, Many thanks for this video. You asked for possible future topics and I have the following: (1) How to create plugins and use them for a simple use case from '0 to hero' and (2) what is the exact difference and use case for plugins and plugin actions (preview) that we have available in the topics section and (3) How and for what use cases to use the Microsoft copilot plugin (preview) that is available in the topics section. No (4) would be a video on conversational plugins to extend the Microsoft copilot. Many thanks.

Some of this is still in development, so I will put these in my backlog of videos to create and make sure that they are top of mind. I did do one on Plugin Actions and you can check that one out.

Thank you Dewain - very helpful. I have been building in PVA for a few years. We have been using the bots (sorry co-pilots :)) in Teams. Is it possible to build a custom co-pilot (continuing to pay by sessions - now message packs) and have it used next to Word or Outlook without having the Microsoft co-pilot monthly enterprise subscription?

You have to solve the integrated auth and some of the interface enhancements, but you have access to the GRAPH API if you would like to do some of this. I do know that we use some internal APIs though to gain more capabilities and to make some good experiences. I don't know that I would recommend doing it, but I do think it is possible.
