EDID data exchange is a standardized means for a display to communicate its capabilities to a source device. The premise of this communications is for the display to relay its operational characteristics, such as its native resolution, to the attached source, and then allow the source to generate the necessary video characteristics to match the needs of the display. This maximizes the functional compatibility between devices without requiring a user to configure them manually, thus reducing the potential for incorrect settings and adjustments that could compromise the quality of the displayed images and overall reliability of the system.

How? How? How do you set the dip switches? What setting allows the matrix switch to not be affected at all by the dip switches? You explain everything very well except how to set the dip switches which is also not explained in the users manual!

In the case of laptops screens. If I want to replace a 768p with a 1080p one, does the EDID process include more info like power consumption since it's powered by the battery ?

was looking for this info : If EDID is not working, you may need to check the pin 18 for +5V power, which is required for EDID/DDC12. You may also need to check the pin 15 for SCL (DDC clock) and pin 16 for SDA (DDC data), which are used for EDID communication . If these pins are damaged or loose, you may not be able to read the EDID from your display device.

How does EDID work with AV receivers? What EDID is reported to a source device when the source device is connected to a display device through a AVR? For example, the display device may not even have any audio capabilities but certainly the receiver does. How does the right video AND audio get sent? Does the receiver report the displays device's video EDID and report its own audio EDID?

I’m having issue with my 3 rd tv black screen but Audio plays when I shut down my my Main tv ??? When main tv ON my Bedroom tv is file - video and audio I HAVE 4 pins of edid How do I adjust these ?

The four seconds of the video spent on the DIP switches is not helpful to a user trying to understand how to use those switches. I have read the manual and searched for another video that explains operation of the switches without success. Please provide a video explaining and demonstrating use of the switches.

I have a UHD-404. The two main outputs are a TV at 1920x1080 and a projector at 1280x800. An AV receiver is connected as an input and an output.
