hi: I just rebuilt my PS pump from my gmc 1998 , it has a Hidrobooster system and I noticed that the old relief valve in the rings where it runs (since the valve moves from the inside out) has signs of wear, I am told that I must replace the relief valve because as it is no longer smooth it will start to get stuck causing low pressure, looking for the new (or used) relief valve that was smooth in circumference (without scratches) so that it moves smoothly in its work movement, I learned that the valves can be adjusted to see what pressure you must open and depending on the washers it can be 1350 up to 700 psi in my case I no longer had washers (because the manufacturer wanted to save money) but if they left height the nut does not seat to the bottom, rather they left a space of 1.1mm or approximately .045" so that it will work between 1100 to 1200psi. What I want to achieve is that when I open the relief valves of my vehicle that has EVO and the spare part that I found, I notice that the Seat Pin (mounted on the spring) of the valin (or bearing) is more worn than the relief valve that did not bring EVO. I ASK THEM: Yes, it's good to have a system that hardens the steering wheel at high speeds, but EVO makes the relief valve work more? Does the oil temperature rise? It is more load for the motor and for the pump of the PS because the EVO when reducing the flow or flow, the internal pressures rise? or does it work differently? I tell you why my EVO system is working fine. but for it to work, I have to force the pump, It's something that makes you think! I hope you can solve my doubt, thank you.
