I prepared for 4 weeks before applying the tca 13% today for the first time. I am a Fitzpatrick #4 and applied 3 layers. The first layer stung a little and itched and stopped when I used my handheld fan. I waited 5 minutes and applied layer #2. That burned a bit, but was manageable and lasted a short time. I felt I could handle a 3rd layer and that's when I almost saw Elvis and decided that was enough! After 5 minutes, I rinsed and applied Alpha Albutin and Retinol and CeraVe for moisture. My skin feels warm like a nice cup of caocao. Thank you so much. I will warn hubby when he gets home later and prepare him for peeling. I've used another peeling method before, but that one took way too long. I like this one better.
Thank you Jennifer for continually posting more information about TCA! I have learned so much from you! I will be doing my 2nd at home peel with Your line tomorrow. I am blown away from the results from the first one, I thank you with all my heart!
Oh thank you! We are so thrilled to hear about your happiness with our products. Keep up with your Peel Series. When you reach 8 peels you will be looking at a whole new face. Enjoy!!! xoxo
@@PlatinumSkinCare Thank you so much! I just finished peeling from my 2nd peel, I had tears of joy fill my eyes because a very stubborn boxcar scar on my cheek has dramatically decreased after this second peel. I am elated to say the least! Now my mom will be purchasing from you too :). I am documenting my progress and will definitely be sharing my experience after healing from my 8th treatment. Endless blessings to you Jennifer!
@@KlarraDaniele Oh my gosh! I LOVE to hear about scars improving. TCA is SO helpful for this. I have used it with some acne scars myself. We can't WAIT to see your pictures. Thank you so much for sharing.
I’m on my 4th session of 13% tca and every time i use it, I’m loving the results. I have purchased the peel with the emu oil and the enzyme mask. Your products are great and can’t wait to purchase the fade bright and the retinol next.
MAREEe Veee thank you SO MUCH for sharing that with us! We are thrilled that you are already seeing results. You will love the Fade Bright. It is excellent for pigmentation!
@@mareeeveee2074,I'm Hispanic and my skin is not to dark and is not white, I done this before in a salon ones, and my peeling was very scary, my husband doesn't like it😂, I love the result but I would like to do something not much notable, I have the tca pro peel 13+ but I'm not sure if is the right for me. Thank you so much for replay.
Blanca mcintosh I am also Hispanic and I am very light skinned. I haven’t used any others only the platinum skincare tca peel 13+ . Just go light at first from like on to two layers. And if you think you can with time after you have tried it and line it you might want to do one more layer. It just depends how much peel you want. I’m satisfied with two layers at first because you don’t peel a whole lot. It doesn’t look so drastic. Once you feel you need more than it really is at your own discretion to use more. But you have to have done the peel various times. That’s when you will know what to do and how much you can apply. Watch the RU-vid videos that platinum skincare has. They are very helpful. Try also watching Glamma. She shows you how. That’s how I learned.
Love your videos, and it's great you made this because there actually very high percentages of tca out there, and they recommend them for things such as tattoo removal and even though our skin is tougher on the body I still couldn't imagine putting 80% anywhere. It's scary to know theres people using these peels that are even certified
c.j wingfield we agree 100%! It’s scary what is available and I have seen some of those tattoo removal videos and just cringe as they keep applying over and over and over super thick. Nothing but scars will be waiting for them.
I purchased the 13% tca from your company and am very excited to get it and try it out. In the meantime I appreciate all the information you offer, I want to make sure I do it right!

Pretreating is super helpful and the Retinol will do wonders getting your skin ready.
I just purchased the 30% TCA to use on my icepick acne scars, pretty scary stuff but I'm going to definitely err on the side of caution and try one small scar out first and see how my skin reacts to that, wish me luck!
@@PlatinumSkinCare thank you for your reply, I have a question; so I ordered the 30% glycolic peel as well and I was wondering if it would be okay to do the glycolic peel on the same day as the 30% tax cross treatment? And if not how long should I wait in between uses of those products?
@@lizh1536 That would be just fine. You can do your CROSS and then your face peel if you wish. Some like to do a face peel first and then the CROSS. It is up to you. Glycolic 30 is quite mild so either is good.
Let me tell you! Stop blow drying and curling the hair. Apply oils every day to keep it strong and healthy. Stop lightening it with bleach. My hair did a HUGE turnaround when I stopped this. Took about 4 years... you have to be consistent.

Thanks for this. I watched your videos as I did the process for the first time. I now see why people use a fan during the process. I did two layers of 20%, having always had very sensitive skin, and now my skin looks like I've been whipped 😐😆 I did have to use the neutralizer I bought to cease fire lol. Wow. My skin got lots of tiny white bumps but it's not what I expected. I was waiting for an actual frosted look. If I'm allergic, I guess I'll know soon. But the fire has stopped and now I'm just welted and red. The welts are actually stretch marks, so it doesn't sound worse than it is. I'm going to apply it faster next time. I dilly dallied and rushed when the burn started. I recommend not doing that.
Oh boy!!! 2 layers of 20% TCA on sensitive skin? That's really too strong. What made you choose that when there are lower percentages like 7% and 13%?? No, no , no... do NOT apply this again "next time". Next time you need to watch this video on how to dilute your acid: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Tvd_Y6SLy_I.html and then you are going to take your 20% and mix it with equal parts water and create a 10%. Then you can use that on your face next time. You will have a much more pleasant experience. Make sure to apply lots of cool compresses and then healing oils like emu oil to reduce your inflammation and irritation.
@@PlatinumSkinCare thank you for your honest response. I asked some physicians on a free website for Q&A what strength and they said 15-20% for a first timer, up to 2 layers. Just so you understand why I did that. It's better today. The redness and swelling went down after about 20 minutes last night. I am using vitamin E oil on it as that's what I've got on hand atm. This is on my stomach area, I don't know if I mentioned that. To lessen the severity of stretch marks I got 18 years ago. I've always been so self conscious about it. I haven't done my face yet, but I do want to do my forehead. I can't right now, I have a wedding I'm a bridesmaid in in two weeks so I can't take any chances. Do you still think 20% is too much for stomach stretch marks?
Nic Narc ok. Generally a 20% is not too strong for the body at all. You are very sensitive. Do what is best for you and dilute the acid if you need to.
Just to update, this process has been very mild. I itched a little intermittently. Just started peeling today, but more like flaking and only a little. Nothing out of the ordinary but also a lot less dramatic than I thought it would be. I'll do more peels on my stomach every 7-9 weeks until the bottle runs out and probably up the percentage a little afterwards. If I see an improvement I'll be beside myself. I hate these stretch marks. They're still light pink 18 years later 😒 I actually don't think I can ever peel my face. When I wash my face with only warm water it irritates it and my skin burns. I know for a fact acid would be horrible pain after that. I tried using rubbing alcohol after washing once and wanted to die. I don't know why that is but I guess that's never going to happen. My face has always been this sensitive. If I did it, I wouldn't be able to wash my face first so who knows if it would even work. And I probably wouldn't be able to go over 10% +/-
@@Nic-pg6pb Thanks for checking in. Yes, we know our skin better than anyone out there and if water is irritating - most definitely a chemical peel will be. Even a mild one like Mandelic or Lactic. I would suggest trying to add in some Retinol .10% maybe 1-2x per week to help your skin turnover more quickly. This shouldn't be too irritating - but you can always do 1 pump of the .10% retinol and add it to 1 pump of something else like the Nano Hyaluronic (super mild, hydrating and healing) and then you would cut it to a .05%. Best wishes!! Here are links in case you are interested in the daily treatments; www.platinumskincare.com/retinol-molecular-serums-10-20-30/ www.platinumskincare.com/hyaluronic-nano-grape-stem-serum/
Thank you for your wonderful product line and videos. I Would like your opinion on using a TCA peel for my neck, I have some creepy skin and banded necklace lines. Is it safe to use on my neck and if yes, what percentage do you recommend? In general my neck is not sensitive, I currently use Retain A on it a few times per week.
30% TCA? ... consider yourself lucky. I just spoke with someone that did the same thing and now has PIH all over her forehead. We do not recommend TCA 30 for the face - only body - and only if you have white skin. Anyone ethnic needs to step down to the 20% and use melanin inhibitors.
Thank you for this info! I just purchased one of your TCA peels. Trying to understand layering and percentages better - would layering the 20% twice be equivalent to a 40% tca peel? Is “getting deeper” when you layer the same as the benefit of a higher percentage because the higher percentage goes deeper? Or is a higher percentage achieving something different? Thanks for any info :)
Hi there. Layering doesn't change the percentage at all. It is just pushing that percentage deeper into the skin's tissues. TCA really isn't about the percentage as much as it's about how many layers you apply. It is always safer to use a lower percentage and apply it more times (layers) to get the best results. After 5 layers you will move up to the next percentage if you wish. 'Start again at 1 layers and work forward slowly. ... YEs, a higher percentage can go into the skin deeper -- so multiple layers of a higher percentage will give you a double whammy.
Thank you for this informative video. I'm planning to go with the 20 % for first-time use. Can I use hydroquinone after the application followed by vaseline?. Pls advise
Hello. 20% on the body? We suggest 13% for the face and no more. If you have ethnic skin then you must pretreat for 3-4 weeks with your hydroquinone (or preferably alpha arbutin). After the peel you can apply a treatment as long as it does not cause irritation. Then apply your healing oils. I would not suggest applying HQ the next day after the peel though... as the skin is tight/thicker and drying. Nothing will penetrate on that day.
Has it been 10-14 days since you applied your peel? The neck is slower to slough the dead skin. It is natural for ethnic skin types to turn dark prior to shedding. You may still be in this phase. IF it has been 2 weeks and your skin is darkened .. you may have PIH. **We require PREP for any skin tone that is olive or darker for 4 weeks prior to a TCA peel. Did you do this? Please see this video: www.platinumskincare.com/so-you-ended-up-with-pih And this one: www.platinumskincare.com/tca-peels-on-dark-skin/
Hello. I don't have a lot of information here? 1. Did you prep your skin for 4 weeks prior to a peel? 2. What % of acid did you apply? 7 or 13% hopefully. 3. Did you STOP any retinoids or strong leave-on acids 4-6 days before the peel? 4. Did you apply "too wet" ... "drippy" layers? Knowing these things is paramount to how I can respond. Red and Painful is NOT normal if done properly. Possible a little bit of pink hue can be there if your skin is very sensitive. .... But, I can only "guess" here with your description that you applied something VERY strong or did not follow the Manual (steps above) prior to your peel.
@@PlatinumSkinCare Unfortunately l burnt myself I went to a dermatologist and l am treating the area now( with anti-inflammatory and soothing creams). The whole process l did was wrong. I applied 3 layers of Tca 15% on a very sensitive area of my body( the back of my knee) and the gauze l used was too wet. I did not do any prep obviously. I am telling that now so anyone who's gonna read this will NOT do the same. The area is super dark now (after 4 days) I ask you kindly if you know the skin will peel eventually or stay as it is now. Am l gonna need whitening cream ?
Ok... 3 layers of TCA 15 isn't that horrible ... but, if your skin is darker .. then you could definitely end up with PIH. I suggest something like our Fade Bright or a hydroquinone product. Use daily for a couple of months. @@sarahahmed2247
Hello. I would not recommend the TCA 30 for ethnic skin types. I suggest Fade Bright (or another melanin inhibitor) for 4 weeks prior to a TCA or Jessners peel. Jessners is great for hyperpigmentation. TCA 13 or possibly 20 could be options for your skin. See this video: www.platinumskincare.com/body-peels-which-acid-what-percentage-fitzpatrick/
Hello. For ethnic skin tones you need to prep with a melanin inhibitor daily for 2-3 weeks. This will 1. help to lighten your PIH and 2. will help to reduce the chances that you will get it again. SPF 50 is also important. We always recommend beginning with the TCA 13% at 1-2 layers.
Darker skin types are more prone to getting PIH after an inflammatory reaction. Stronger peels cause more inflammation ... so caution and a good prep is required. No matter what though ... frosting is not indicative of any future damage. It is a natural response from stronger acids like TCA. Be sure that you are prepping with a melanin inhibitor 4+ weeks, and also be sure that you are choosing a lower % of the TCA to start with. We suggest 7 or 13%. Work up in layers ... 5+ and you can move up to the next percent.
Hi there, i had a question about the order of peels. I've just finished 4 layers of BioRePeel and wanted to move on to a full on TCA with the Jessner. What do you recommend?
That particular peel is NOT at all like a regular TCA peel. Please begin with a TCA 13% ... or if you are sensitive a 7%. You can start with 2 layers. Next month when you do your peel you can add on ONE more layer. Continue that way and complete a series of 6-8 peels. At that point you can continue ... take a break ... your choice. :)
They are both very close... all AHA's really are. The mandelic is better for pigmentation and will feel milder. Glycolic is a general acid that has a small molecule so it will be more irritating.
We do not suggest that you mix anything WITH the TCA - other than pure/distilled/filtered water to dilute it. Use your Vitamins and other acids before/after your TCA peel. Yes, you can Layer it with Jessners. See this video here as to how that is done: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YuN146Fsg3Q.html Yes, you can also apply retinol after you have rinsed your acid off.
Hello, I did your 13% peel and my skins now about 5 days later feels like it wants to peel, but it is not happening. I did not frost either. Is there something I can do to force it to peel quicker?
Here is a great video on Before/After chemical peels: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-REmyDugvz04.html We are all different. It depends on what state your skin is in. Do you use REtinol or RetinA every evening? If you do, your skin will shed more quickly due to it's cellular regenerative properties. We always recommend that. We also recommend applying the .50% Luminosity Retinol for the first 1-4 days after your TCA peel. It helps the skin to peel more quickly. Another thing you can do is use a gentle face scrub like our Diamond Dermabrasion Scrub OR... you can use an Enzyme mask to help dissolve dead tissues. No matter what, it will flake off. Just because the "average" person starts flaking on 3-5 days after a peel doesn't mean that YOU will too. You may just start a bit later. That is all 100% ok and normal.
@@bethsabath Don't even THINK about applying that full strength. You will have terrible marks all over your body. Dilute it down to a 20% to begin with. Depending on your skin's tone - you may need to pretreat with a melanin inhibitor for a few weeks prior to application.
Azelaic is wonderful for targeting hyperpigmentation in the skin. It is in our Fade Bright as well. The Main ingredient that we want you to be prepping with is the Alpha Arbutin or Hydroquinone though.
After rinsing the TCA off, can one apply the following products by stacking Fade Bright, Regeneration and Luminosity on top? Or should one just pick one?
That is exactly what I like to apply after my peels. First Fade Bright, then Regenerate and then Luminosity. If you have any healing oils such as Emu oil or our Essentials healing blend, they go on last.
Hi Jennifer, I'm thinking about purchasing the 30%, I'm a first time user but I have some minimal ice pick scarring on my cheeks, so I would like to do the CROSS method and then dilute it to do a full face peel. Would you recommend anything else? Or a different approach? Thank you(: ! Also: can this be used if I have active breakouts?
I think that it would be easier for you to just get a small 5ml. bottle of the TCA 30% for your icepick and then the 1oz of the `13% for the rest of your face. No need to mix this way. Yes, you can do peels while you have an active breakout - it will help blemishes to heal more quickly. ***do not apply it to an open wound though. So, no picking prior to a peel.
@@SweetAndy47 You are welcome. It will be easier for you this way. Let us know if you have more questions. Also, check out our TCA video series here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-p9XDQAykpKg.html
I saw in an episode on TCA CROSS. Can you put extra with a qtip in wrinkles like acne scars? I am starting with 13% because this is my first with tca. I normally use glycolic or lactic acids.
CROSS - Chemical Reconstruction of Skin Scars. Cross is only used on depressed scars. Poking a strong acid into the scar to aid in breaking scar tissues and forcing a regeneration to fill in the hole. What you are thinking of is just a spot treatment. That is perfectly fine to apply your TCA into a deep line as a 2nd layer to a face peel... or, as an only application. Do not POKE into the skin though. Just lay the acid on the skin as you normally would. :)
Once the final 5 minutes are up with TCA you might as well rinse it off and then apply your treatments. There is no benefit to leaving it on. The ONLY time you would leave it on the skin is if you did a Jessners + TCA peel - because jessners will need to stay on the skin for 4 hours. After 4 hours you can rinse everything off.
Hello. I'm planning to buy your tca peel. It'll be my first time. I've been using exfoliating solutions. Do I have to wait for days without using the toners before proceeding to having the peel?
Hello. First... please tell me what % you are applying and how Heavy are you applying it? It this super wet/dripping (which would lead to a deeper peel) or are you using a higher percentage than the 13%?

I can't speak for internal supplements as a melanin inhibitor. If they are lightening your skin - it is certainly possible. I would still prep the skin for a couple of weeks with a topical though.
Frosting/blanching is not necessary for a "good" peel. :) We teach you about it in case you run into it. :) It is more common with several layers or higher percentages of acids. You need to start Slow and Low.
Well... tretinoin is the ACID form of vitamin A. Applying that onto skin that was just peeled with TCA can cause irritation and excessive dryness. We prefer the use of a retinol instead. It is neutral on the surface and doesn't turn into the acid until its deeper in the skin. Now, you may of course try this if you wish. But stop use if your skin is too irritated.
HiI LOVED all your videos! Here are 2 questions; 1) Can I use micro-current or LED lights right the way after the TCA peel or regular chemical peel or have to wait a couple of days?
LED lights are just fine. Micro-current is probably quite safe... but we do not have information on that. Please inquire with the manufacturer if you can do other treatments alongside.
Hello. TCA 20 is far too strong to start off using on the Face. Is this for the Face or Body? Please dilute to a 13 or 15. Face = 3-5 days to Start flaking and another 3-5 days to Finish. Body = 30 days. 10-14 days to Start flaking and another to Finish.
@@user_noway The Face would be done flaking in 10 days. The Body will take 30 days. The skin starts to dry and then flakes/sloughs off over the course of time. Diluting is taking the 20% and adding water to make it a lower percentage. See how here: www.platinumskincare.com/how-to-dilute-acid-peels/ You are stating that you applied TCA 20 to your face and did not get any flaking? That is highly unusual .. as that is a very strong acid. There are directions that need to be followed. You don't state how many layers you applied ... Though I HOPE that it was only 1 ... as this is too strong for you to use on your face. You MUST follow our recommendations. Our 7 or 13% is meant for beginners on the face. TCA is applied in Layers. Please watch this video to learn the process: www.platinumskincare.com/tca-peel-application-detailed-faq-aftercare/ and please do Not apply again until you have a thorough understanding of the acid. You also need to Prep your skin prior to a peel being applied. That means for at least 4 weeks being on a regimen consisting of: Acid (cleanser, serum or toner), Antioxidant (C or another), SPF 50 every day and a retinoid like our Fusion A .15 at night. This regimen will start to turn over the skin and will prep it for a nice even peel. See prepping for a peel here: www.platinumskincare.com/preparing-your-skin-for-a-chemical-peel/ **I do not know your skin color/Fitzpatrick type. But 4-6 it is Mandatory to prep with a melanin inhibitor (like our Fade Bright or Hydroquinone) for 4 weeks prior to applying a peel to help avoid/lessen PIH.
@@PlatinumSkinCare Thanks alot. I understood. Maybe TCA peel I bought is not enough strong. I did 2, 3 layers on legs, yes face i did one layer. My skin bearable. So I want for 20%. Thanks alot for your help. I appreciate.
@@user_noway No. You should not use 20 on your face. That is too strong. Go down to the 13. Apply it in Layers. You need to work up to 5+ layers. ... Layers ... Not higher %. Each layer helps the acid to progress DEEPER in the skin. Allow this process to happen. If you apply too strong of an acid - you are going to have PIH or other pigmentation issues. Do NOT rush this. Take great precautions.
@@ahargrove1185 Well how long has it been? Flaking usually doesn't begin until around day 3-5... then it goes for another 3-5 days. Make sure to give it a few days. Any dryness or little flakes should be mostly gone and then go right ahead.

khushbu gurung you would keep Tca on for about 5 minutes and then rinse off. Keep covered with spf to avoid uv damages and skin darkening. Also use a melanin inhibitor for the dark skin.
Can I use it on my inner thight for hyperpigmentation?? Will it darkened more if i apply tca on my inner thighs? Cause clothing tend to rub there I know the skin is sensitive specially when your skin is peeling
Absolutely you can. Please see this video on body peeling here: www.platinumskincare.com/hand-and-body-peeling-tca-30-versus-glycolic-70-demonstration/ The legs will be much less sensitive than a face would - so don't worry about that. Just apply some emu oil and your skin will be fine.,
Can we use vitamin C during the day and retinol during the night after the tca cross treatment for box scars? If we cant, how long we need to wait to resume to use it again in the skincare?
I would not apply either to your CROSS areas. Just add a bit of emu oil or another barrier on TOP of the treated areas so you can keep those acids away from them.
If you are trying to tackle dark skin under the arms .. please watch this video: www.platinumskincare.com/intimate-area-peels-vaginal-anal-underarms-inner-thighs/
We recommend Luminosity Post TCA or Jessner Peel. Luminosity is a strong Retinol that works like a peel booster to help the skin exfoliate a bit quicker. So if your are using our Luminosity, then you would not use any other Retinol product until your skin has completed flaking and peeling.
Hello. Still waiting for your reply. I bought your 30% TCA and was wondering if I could use it on a cystic pimple diluted maybe into 20% so it goes away Faster and doesn't Scar. Please respond
You will need to dilute the TCA 30 in half to a TCA 15. 1 part water to 1 part TCA 30 will bring it down to a TCA 15. You can certainly spot treat with TCA 15.
JeD JeD that I’m afraid I don’t know the exact answer to that. Your personnel performing the treatment would know best. I would assume at least 1 week after a peel has flaked away (so about 2 weeks after a peel). Afterwards I would think about 1 week. Please confirm.
@@PlatinumSkinCare Hi Jen, thank you very much, I read, just after I asked the question.. a week before and a week after celebrityskinscottsdale.com/chemical-peel-instructions/ now we both know.. lol.. thank you :)
50% is quite a bit stronger than we recommend for home use. I would NOT suggest applying that and then doing the full face peel. If you want to do them both on the same day ... do the face peel first and once it is rinsed off you can do the CROSS. **I am still concerned with the strength though for at-home use. Be extremely careful or dilute it down a bit.

I love your skin and love your videos. I want to do my first TCA peel. I have ethnic skin and have hyperpigmentation. I'm currently using azeliac acid, niacinamide, arbutin, copper, peptides, ascorbic acid and retinoic acid in my skin care regiment. do you still recommend prepping prior to peeling? I'm trying to avoid using hydroquinone.
Thank you! Well... you can do a different acid and NOT have to prep so much as you would with a TCA. I suggest the Jessners peel instead. It is excellent for PIH and all pigmentation issues. It is applied just like the TCA as well. So, layerable to adjust strength.
We have people all over the globe that have intense sun and heat --- yet do them all year long. It is up to you. If you are NOT a sun worshiper, and are good at applying high SPF and keeping a protective hat/clothing on.... then you are perfectly fine to peel in the summer time. Many many of our customers do.
Use an spf of at least 50 and apply enough. Most do NOT apply enough of the lotion. You need at least 1.5" of product to cover your face adequately. Then, if you are out there for a prolonged time you must reapply. ... NOW, keep in mind that you may have melasma - which is hormonal and very tricky to treat. That is not your fault. It's tough.

And continue using emu oil (or our Essential Healing Blend daily until your skin is done peeling. Another treatment for acne ice pick scars is SuperCop 2x. That is something you can apply into your scars daily. It helps with scar regeneration. www.platinumskincare.com/copper-super-cop-2x/
Hi! Would 22% Vitamin C serum be a good way to prep the skin to prevent hyperpigmentation before the peel, if I used it for 30 days before the peel? I don’t have access to purchasing proper melanin inhibitors right now and only have the vitamin C serum for now...
Vitamin C is helpful in reducing pigmentation on the skin but it isn't a melanin inhibitor. Try to find a local cream at a drug store with alpha arbutin or hydroquinone in it. It will be readily available.
Hello, I have done my first TCA 13% 2 layers peel yesterday. I applied fade bright and luminosity this morning and daily moisturiser with 50spf. I missed a detail my moisturiser has vit C and E in it . Now I am panicking if it would damage my skin. Help please ,thank you .
It's fine. If this isn't a full-on vitamin C product with a higher percentage... it's fine. C is an acid and we just don't want to irritate the skin. Tomorrow, something like emu oil or healing oil will be all that's needed. *And SP 50
Hello.. can tca cross fix hypopigmentation? I have indented scars and they are white due to the 80% TCA that I used and that turned out very badly, I have done laser resurfacing and it has not fixed anything. I hope some good news for me please..
hello. Unfortunately there is not anything that can be done for hypOpigmentation. That is where the melanocytes are dead. They can no longer produce color. If this has not gone away on it's own (which can happen at times) then it is not going to. I am so sorry to say. :/
RetinA (tretinoin) is the ACID form of vitamin A and that can cause irritation and excessive dryness. We recommend retinOL because it isn't irritating - yet will still help the flaking process move faster and more aggressively. You may of course try that - but stop use if its irritating.
Vitamin B would be just fine after a peel. We have a great Vitamin B Complex here for problem skin types: www.platinumskincare.com/b-complex-vitamin-b-cream/
Also regarding your post about "3 layers of 10% TCA" that isn't posting here... Yes, multiple layers will make the peel more irritating. Make sure to wait at least 5 minutes in between your additional layers and don't apply to heavy. No dripping peel solution.
We do not recommend using such a high percentage. Especially on darker skin. Use a melanin inhibitor for at least 2 weeks and *i suggest to cut that in half for the CROSS treatment to be safer. Use SPF 50 every day to protect from UV darkening.
My peel has not arrived yet but I am wondering how do you get 5 layers in 5 mL vial ? It’s really small quantity. I though ordered 6 vials of 5 ml each ( cost me $200) and 😢now I feel like I was zipped .
Email us at support@platinumskincare.com regarding your order. We will need name and email to look that up. In a 5 ml vial you will get 3-5 layers. A one oz box contains 6 vials. I do not know which peel you purchased, but for example TCA 13 - 1 oz is $42.00 You must have added on Fade Bright or another commonly purchased item.
@@jacykofree2390 Use Google translate to type what you want to say.... Then, translate it into English and paste here. OR just tell me what language you speak ... and I can translate it.
If you have a lighter skin tone and are using a TCA 13% at 1-2 layers, you are fine. However, if you are working on pigmentation issues, we always recommend pre treating for 2 weeks with the Fade Bright. It is also a great product to continue using in between your monthly peels on the dark areas only 1-2 x per day.
@@PlatinumSkinCare So...I have some peeling (this is my second TCA peel) and I think a chunk of skin fell off when I was wiping off product and adding moisturizer. I hope I am ok. I am worried now cause I know you aren't supposed to remove skin and let it come off naturally. It is hard to tell if that happened or not. Hopefully I am just over stressing and everythings fine. THanks
Jenny Meade if it came off that easily .. it was probably time to come off. No worries. Just don’t go trying to pull it off and you will be fine. Keep it hydrated and use spf when heading outside.
Very happy to hear that your skin is nice and clear. Congratulations! And now for "scarring". Are you referring to just PIH (marks left behind) or are you meaning depressed scars such as ice pick or box car? The treatment is different. Please see this video on scarring: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-SCDGHAzEhjM.html and this video on the TCA CROSS method for depressed scars: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--4Nrf9i6ROs.html
Ok, watch the Scar video. As a daily treatment for the PIH I suggest you apply Fade Bright 2x per day and then follow your mornings with an SPF of 50. *The sun will make your pigmentation worse. A great evening treatment to apply after your Fade Bright in the evenings is our www.platinumskincare.com/retinol-molecular-serums-10-20-30/ This will speed up the cellular turnover of your skin and 1. help you to NOT get acne again and 2. will help to fade back the PIH you have now. Super simple. You can find Fade Bright here: www.platinumskincare.com/fade-bright-lightening/
@@PlatinumSkinCare ma'am I'm from India n I can't afford to buy those products ... Will u suggest me a peel , it's % and number of layers which helps in reducing pimple marks , skin lighting and tightening the pores.
Sure, I would always suggest the TCA 13% for acne marks and scarring. Begin with 1 layer on your face and then use a Qtip and apply a 2nd layer to your problem spots so they get MORE acid. Pretreat your skin with a melanin inhitibor first though! I can't stress that enough. Maybe you have some hydroquinone near your location you can pick up OTC. Use that for 2 weeks and then do your peel. *also continue using the melanin inhibitor immediately after your peel and each day as well.
Hello. You will not ever start at a 25% TCA. Please start at the 13%.. or if you have the 30 and are diluting go down to a 15% for ease. Start with 1-2 layers your first time and work up from there in the coming months. *Pretreat with a melanin inhibitor IF you have olive or darker skin and use SPF 50 every day.
If I have been doing 20 percent for about 7 to 8 months can I do it longer and another layer for better results? I tyically just layer a few times until there is a frost, but can I apply on a frosted area already for a deeper frost or is that too dangerous? Thanks
TCA gets its strength on the quantity of layers. This is what will change. I would recommend adding 1 more layer to get a deeper peel. ***NOW....if you are already all frosted.. then no, you will not keep applying.
@@PlatinumSkinCare Ok I think I will try the cross method then I just ordered you're 30 percent. I also have some scarring and deeper issues on my face that I think the cross will help faster. Even though I understand that will probably take time as well. Thank you Jennifer!
Hii... i want my mum to do a tca peel c is 60 plus... nd is diabetic.. So wat are the precautions? Or a big no no for her to get chemical peel? If yes can we try first at neck nd body then go to the face area later after a month? Also Will 13 percent 2 layers enough for to see wrinkle reduction?
As long as her doctor does not have an issue with her doing peels it will be ok. I would most definitely ask first though. They may not be ok with a TCA peel, but may be fine with a mandelic or something like that.
iamcalebu prepping is always preferable when doing peels. We want to reduce the buildup of dead skin prior to applying a peel. This gives us an even surface and a better peel. Things like acid serums or cleansers and especially retinoids are great for this. Then protect with spf. You only need to use Fade Bright if you have pigmentation or ethnic skin.
Hi I already use alpha urbatin and retnoid I was thinking after I have applied Tca peel along with serums above can I use Niacinamide from Ordinary because that calms the monocytes and I have medium skin tone. Just to prevent Hypertpigmentation
I don't see why not. Go right ahead. ... ONce your skin is getting ready to flake though.. don't waste any good products on skin that won't be sticking around. :)
I've never used a TCA peel before. I want to treat a scar I've had on my upper cheek for about 2 years now. I have two questions. 1. Can I jump right into a 30% peel if I am just treating scars (even if I've never tried it before)? 2. If I use a 15% peel and layer it, is that equivalent to approximately a 30% peel?
Andres Angel If this is a depressed scar, and you have white skin then a 30% may be an option. The best place since you are new though, would be the 20%. Use that at 1-3 layers to get the results you are looking for. See our Tca cross video.
Hi I did a TCA peel 20 from you 2 days ago. My face seems ok no peeling yet but my chest burned so so bad and now its super dark I'm trying not to freak out. It turned white very fast. I pray I didn't burn my chest to bad how long until it peels? is their a chance it won't peel and I'm left with these dark spots? I'm fair skinned with freckles.
Did you apply a higher percentage or more layers to your chest? That would certainly indicate a deeper peel would happen. The face will peel quicker than the body -- but 3-4 days is average. No worries that it isn't flaking yet. That is normal. The body can take upwards of 1 week to 10 days BEFORE it starts to flake. Yes, darkness is common. Please look at all of the photos on our website and in our videos about this. SPF is mandatory right now.
@@PlatinumSkinCare I did a 20 for all areas. I am peeling today my face which relieves some of my anxiety lol now I realize its working. As for my chest I put it on with a brush and maybe I did to much so I'll know soon I guess if its gonna peel and be ok. But man the pain was intense.
@@PrinceGBuddha Ok, yes. With a brush you get much more solution - and TCA's strength is VERY dependent on the VOLUME of solution you apply. Remember that the tca will keep coagulating the proteins in your skin for as long as there is available solution. If you applied a thick layer --- well it is just going to keep going and going and going. It is always best to apply TCA with a gauze pad. At least now you know for future use. The volume you applied could have been equal to a 4 or 5 layer peel.
I'm very pleased with my face though. can't wait to do it again, just concerned about my chest wondering if its gonna heal properly or did I mess it up.
Can we use any Retinol every alternate day not regularly. And second question will it be OK if we use Fade bright prior 2 weeks of peel and after 2 weeks of peel only and can skip for 1 month and use again before my peel. (like so)??? awaiting for your reply.
Hello. I would use Fade Bright or hydroquinone daily to help slow melanin production. Then peels can be used. I would suggest jessners over TCA most times. Jessners is also a layerable peel - but it is geared more towards hyperpigmentation.
@@PlatinumSkinCare okey sis, thank you so much.but i wanna ask about laser co2. Should i use hidroquinone too before i getek laser treatment? Because after my first, second, third laser i feel my face become darker after laser treatment.and it is been a long time not yet better
@@insfandariah6142 I am sorry but I can't answer questions that are not related to our product line. Please inquire with a medical professional that does laser treatments.
Hello. If this is something that you can't put back into your bottle... you can certainly flush it down the drain without issue. I would run the water and just pour it down.
You can use any of the peels on this. ... I am not looking at a picture here... but, generally I would recommend to pretreat with Fade Bright or another melanin inhibitor for at least 2 weeks prior to a peel. Then, the TCA 13% is an excellent option since you can do a mild peel with only 1 or 2 layers, or you can work up to a deeper one with 3,4, or 5 layers. I would also suggest the SuperCop 2x ever evening as well.
Hello Jen! I bought the mandelic acid peel and i love it! I wanted to get this peel done cause even though mandelic is amazing at cleaning my skin I do have scarring issues but my aesthetician told me I shouldn’t get it done cause it was going to let me with hyper pigmentation... I have olive skin tone most to the fair side ... she also told me our climate doesn’t help to much... does climate have anything to do with the peel? I really want to try it for Christmas vacation but I’m scared :(
Mandelic is an excellent acid for treating pesky hyperpigmentation - so I am not sure where your esthetician heard that. Having olive tone skin does not cause an issue with an acid like that. I would also suggest that you start using the Fade Bright Lightening Serum 2x per day to help lighten that more. Keep that up and always apply it prior to any other products. www.platinumskincare.com/fade-bright-lightening/
@@youareart2035 As with anything that will exfoliate the skin - you will be more prone to getting a sunburn. We don't want this. You will have to wear a broad screen SPF of at least 40-50 and wear a wide brim hat if you can, to protect your baby fresh skin. This is something that you should be doing daily anyways, so most likely this will not effect your life in any way. ***IF you are a tanner though, you would have to stop tanning. Tanning and acids don't mix.
Thank you so much for the answer I’m really looking forward to doing the TCA Also I bought the platinum skincare vitamin C and it kinda burned my skin any advice? But only in one area which is weird
@@youareart2035 The High Octane Vitamin C will cause a slight tingling or flaking when you apply it. It has a low pH level for the C to work its best. That should not cause any "burn" though.
Hello. You can find our TCA 20 on this page here: www.platinumskincare.com/tca-peel-13-20-30/ I can't tell you the price in your funds. In US dollars a 1oz. TCA 20 is $40
Could you apply the peel just on cheeks? That’s the only place that I have acne scars. Or does it have to be applied all over the face? I just bought the 20%.
Absolutely you could. We have many people that only target treat (spot treat). I DO recommend that every so often though, you do a full face peel to keep everything even. Maybe once every 4 peels or so.
Thank you Jennifer, I'd like to ask. I stepped into my second peel with a 20% one layer and frosted all over. Then 6 weeks later did another one and did not frost as much or as fast does this mean the second one did not penetrate as deep ? What is the difference between 13% and 20% if you put one layer on? does the 20% go deeper or does it go in the same depth just stronger?
A lot of times the frosting depends on your skin at that moment. If you have been using stronger retinoids or more acid serums, a different prescription... - your skin will be thinner and more sensitive. When that happens you could get a better frost. Other times, there is nothing that we can figure out and you just frost sometimes and not others. I find that most times I don't get a frost at all until I reach about 3 layers of the 13%. Whether you see frosting or not has nothing to do with how you will peel. You will peel either way. Don't get too hung up on it. Yes, the 20% will reach a bit deeper than the 13%. The 13% is milder. You should always begin there at 1 or 2 layers. TCA gets its strength by the quantity of layers you apply. The more layers - the deeper the peel. Work your way up to 5 layers before you think of moving up to the 20%. Since you are already there... just continue on with one or 2 layers only. If you see frosting - then stop applying layers. Most people only reach maybe 3 layers of the 20%. This is equivalent to the Blue Peel.
Thank you for all the information. FYI the music, for me. gets irritating after 3 minutes. I wish it was more in the background or not at all. I had to stop for a while and start again. Sorry.
