i find Undyne's character really interesting She is determined to kill you, but somewhere inside her heart, she knows youre not really evil, so in the neutral run she cant push herself to go fully Undying because she lacks resolve in the Genocide run, you try to become pure evil(because you really go through the effort to hunt down every single one of them), and she reconizes you as such, wiping any feeling of sympathy or even guilt that could ever go through her heart, resolving herself in the way a Knight would truly prefer, resolve herself to fight off against pure evil
Neutral Undyne's mind: I mean I guess the human was literally getting killed so I guess killing monsters for them is self defense Genocide Undyne: F### You
4:18 something i never actually noticed before... look at undynes right eye (as in her right, our left)... its black with a white pupil just like her undying form, so in this state she IS actually partially transformed to her undying form, she just doesnt have enough determination in a neutral run to push her all the way
It's why she melts after being killed. She definitely had DETERMINATION already, just not enough, and she melted before turning to dust; just like the Amalgamates.
Anyone else noticed how similarly Papyrus and Sans fight? The big difference is that Papyrus is just trying to neutralise you and Sans is trying to counter-murder you. Edit: I have enough likes, no more. Edit 2: STOP!
And papyrus attack have different and bones extending length and an dog and an skatboard guy About sans space time, tekenilisis, and blasters, (and flikering eye)

I forget about just how depressing the undone death is, she’s so determined, and if alphys watched the fight, she’d have seen the same monster as the amalgamated she was hiding in the lab, even if only for a second. The implications of what might happen, had alphys watched the fight unfold, are terrifying in many ways
Doing Pacifist run is much more easier with the real knife and the locket. The real knife makes the monster scared already making you(the player) spare the monster in the first turn. This works for every monster not on bosses tho. The locket is just for defense. The locket is useless if its about sans fight on true genocide run.

@@FYR17 he is saying that you wouldnt be able to fight normal minsters with the real knife since the only one you can use it against is sans So why the feature of making normal monsters scared ?
Well, Asgore isn't too difficult once you learn the pattern anyway (unless you're still wearing the bandage), and I don't know for sure one way or the other, but I don't think that your weapon affects the Photoshop Flowey fight anyway.
@@Beau-Bo Well, Sans is the only one you can fight with the Real Knife, he only has 1 defense, and he dodges your attacks until he falls asleep anyway.
@@jruler93 it doesnt matter what weapon you use anyways, as at that point you deal so much damage that you basicly just instantly murder everything in your path thats about it but i just want to nitpick for a bit, whatever weapon you're using doesnt show up when you actually hit sans, it uses the slash visual/audio, which is strange
When you can spare the monster in pacifist route instantly with real knife, that's not cause their scared. You know when your like 1 hit away from killing a monster and you can spare it? Well, the real knife 1 shots them. So the game registers their hp as low.
The summary: In Toriel Fight music stops when we will attack her with real knife. Papyrus fight changes a lot cuz he is using his special attack on second hit (Second hit should kill him but game were coded to force him to do the final attack) Undyne boss was interesting. Even after she refused to die, and i was dealing 302 dmg her hp growed thank to her determination but again. Game is that coded that Undyne couldn't go to Undying Form (Yes she could transform if that death wasn't in code) Mettaton and Asgore doesn't seem to care about Frisk weapon. Well that all so yea, real knife kinda affects neutral run.
sorry to burst your bubble, but toriel's fight changed, the audio stopped due to the real knife, and it wasn't meant to do that, so it stopped the music.

I feel Real Knife is literally just a show off in Genocide runs. What can you do with it? Sans. What does Sans do? Exactly, it legally cannot be obtained in any other way, and after that there’s no other HP based monster to kill. At least the Worn Dagger helps with Asgore in Neutral Ig
That’s the point of the locket and the real knife because they give you 99 points in defense and attack, but it’s no use since sans only has 1 hp, the point the game is trying to make is that too much power is just pointless no matter how strong your enemy is, making your game or life boring and pointless
I didn't know about Undyne's death being different in the Neutral Route. That's....honestly really terrifying. Toby really did outdo himself on this game.
What if that happened if you hack in into game in nuetral with asgore and he would say “you won’t be needing this” and it increases his attack the rest of the fight and the pie doesn’t decrease it anymore
It basically makes it so there's no real excuse for killing him because it will ALWAYS make him spare you when he's dead in the next hit, so the only reason you'd kill someone who's giving you mercy is by being a jerk (which is part of why sans is so mad, he literally knows it can't be taken as self defense at that point where as it can be with pretty much anyone else (besides like Moldsmal))

Undyne has an armor which raises her defense, and her Neutral HP is 3000, so I can't really say she's using hax, for me atleast. still tho i wonder if the armor was just plastic, cuz all of the weapons are superficial 🤔
I feel like undyne melts because they are to determined with determination they have in ther3 strength telling them not to give up made them melt then turn to dust

Depressing fact: alphys doesn't survive the genocide run even tho we never encounter her. She saw undyne die and committed suicide. There is now another burden you carry now if you committed the genocide route
Well she does that in neutral routes where Undyne and Mettaton die, but in the Genocide route she's too busy evacuating Hotland for that to happen, she actually becomes a hero to them (despite all the things she did, and the things she did are why she was always suicidal but one of her two only friends dying will push her over the edge in neutral routes) if you abandon the route in Hotland she becomes Queen, and she's holding out. She dies when Chara erases the world though
If papyrus trained could he become even stronger than sans? Considering he cqn change his bone shape into actual objects and such, also making his bones much longer, thicker or overall larger?
Idk what versions this works on (besides switch) but lvl 19 neutral is possible if you kill everyone except muffet. Idk why this works but fighting asgore at lvl 19 without hacks or mods is kinda funny.

I know this is super duper late but for anyone who noticed as well: All the other bosses shaked when being hurt, whoever ASGORE didnt, which scares because that means he was holding back by SO MUCH
Even after years of playing undertale,i never experienced the undyne neutral fight because i found it easier to simply flee from her. And dang the neutral fight was very emotional,toby seriously knows how to keep secrets.
Boss skip Phase (Asgore and Toriel have only 1) Papyrus use his "Absolutly normal attack" 1 hit a way* from death, Undyne end warm up after her HP drop belowe ~80% or near Mettaton phase is baze on tures not HP
I have seen this image of the real knife all over the community, but as I remember, there is no such image in Undertale itself, so where does it come from?
the real knife or the old dagger it serves to kill asgore easier if not you are more difficult to kill him with strong glove ballet shoes empty gun and etc
2 hits to kill toriel 3 hits for Papyrus to kill 5 hits for undyne but she melts to death 6 hits to take down Mettaton for a explosion and 9 hits to kill asgore dreamurr
