There have been a few comments that I've had to delete that said they didn't like this video because... there wasn't music in it. Complaint of the year all years, 7/10 too much water.
Some Asian "7.8/10 too much water" is an old meme about Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire's review score on IGN for that reason. It was a silly criticism of it, so it went viral.
“You spilled blood, you thought it easy, you thought it fun” Actually perfect line. She’s the first and one out of two of the challenges in the Genocide route. Everything else is so easy, murdering normal monsters and one-shotting bosses.
I feel the saddest part of this fight is, Undyne knows that she's going to die. She's not fighting for her life anymore, she's got nothing to lose in going all out to stop you. At the very least, I've always understood it that, even if she stops you, she's not leaving that bridge alive.
I'll be honest, my favorite part of this is, and always will be, the point where Undyne realizes she's defending more then just Monsters. To paraphrase her, if you get past her then you'll kill all of them. She's defending everyone and everything, Humans, Monsters, and everything in between. She is protecting the entire world at this point, not just Monsters.
@@JamesSmith-hq4mx I know. A simmilar pattern happens with other characters. Via doing genocide you fix their problems, or more accuately you force them to fix their own problems because of how much of threat you are. Toriel realises she was underestimating you. Papyrus gives up his desire to capture you. Undyne loses her racism. Mettaton gives up his narcisim and actually sacrifices himself for the greater good. He also become corpreal. Alphys fixes her self esteem problems. Flowey realises kill or be killed doesn't work. Sans learns to actually care again. Asgore doesn't really get the chance too but at least he doesn't have a deathwish when fighting you. And Chara gets a purpose.
@@cormacb2326 Asgore was no fun at all, he spares you, he should of took all the human souls so he gives us more Exp and LV, it would be nice to give Chara a much stronger soul
That's thing that makes genocide interesting for a lot of people I think. Games like god of war, they let you feel justified in your path of murder, but genocide undertale really makes you a REAL badguy
@@Saiyan_Swagger actually that is what happens because she doesn’t like slash her spear at you when you don’t have a spear to give you one. and the attack before you go into the defend mode are all bullet hells or the stabby speara
The first time I did genocide, when I reached her, I thought she was going to die dramatically like papyrus, but then she kept living and was giving her “speech” on how she felt everyone's heart "beating as one"and about how she felt like she was going to break apart at any moment, but still held on and stuff. I felt so SCARED. I’ve never felt that kind of intimidation in a video game, and it got me rattled. Then when the music started, I was like “oh god no...”and then when the upbeat part started, it gave me literal chills. I died shortly after lol. This whole fight gave me chills top to bottom of my body. I will never forget that moment. This song brought back those feelings again. It’s just amazing how a monster can have these kinds of feelings. I thought they were just mindless beings who wanted to hurt, but undyne literally stood up for everyone in the world and stood her ground to defend it; human and monster. Damn do I love the theme of this fight.
Whoever voiced Undyne is pretty good at voicing real pain and suffering. That's truly the sound of someone agonizingly bleeding out while they brace their blade. There's a zing of desperation behind it that makes it sound genuine.
In snowdin theres a book that says since humans are made of water they can hold more determination than monsters who are made of magic. as a fish monster undyne probably has a lot more water in her body than the average non-fish monster which is probably why she can get so determined that she comes back from the dead to kick the human's ass before she finally melts.
I love how desperate she’s sounding at 6:33, trying to stop her only enemy, but still knowing that these are her last moment. The sudden change of her tone of voice really symbolizes her inner feelings and takes away so much of the silliness of the pacifist route. This is when you know that the whole underground is against you.
I got chills when she said “ I’m the hero, and you’re the bad guy” because she’s right, in genocide you kill innocent monsters and your friends, that isn’t something a hero would do.
I've got to say, Undyne's dialogue with Monster Kid at the beginning is a very good depiction of how it feels to be a panicking adult next to a child. Tell them it's fine, that you have this under control, but also to for the love of god get out of there before they witness something that they are not prepared for
It's like she's not even singing anymore. Undyne's just shouting and growling out her lines with an air of desperation and sorrow, and that's honestly the most haunting aspect about it. And at the end, how she's pushing herself to her very limits and trying not to fall apart, you can hear her panting and gasping for air. She knows she's lost, but she's still going out with both barrels blazing. Mippa is such an incredible actress, this really should go on Broadway.
She knows that she cannot win She knows she is against a much more powerfull oponent But, she will not go out without a fight, she is ready to fight until her very last breath. She knows that the only way to stop the child, is to FIGHT and even if she cannot win, she feels she must fight for everyone, dead or alive in the underground, since no one knows of Sans power other then Asgore Undyne is the peoples last hope, and she will try all she has to SAVE the underground and everyone in it
Thinking more about it, I think the fact that she's fighting for the Underground and the people in it, that she's willing to die for it is why she can't win. Because she's willing to die she's fated to lose, simply because the Fallen Child is NOT willing to die, Determination is ultimately the selfish will to survive "I will not die." Undyne has that for a moment when she reforms with her will to save the world, but it doesn't last, it isn't enough to wrest control of the world away, not that she has any understanding of Determination as a power. I think that's part of what makes the Child in the Pacifist Run so powerful, that selfish will to survive coupled with their will to save their friends and the world.

Balancing quality for effect is important. There are a few things in this song that when I hear it i think yikes. But compared to some other fan creations this is really good. I like the ending part but the middle part is a wee bit rough. Partly the fault of the script writers. It just sounds funny coming out into voice. (Also the blade effects are on point 👌👌👌)
@@fishstickfailur3 but undyne IS gay, a straight person(probably a homophobe) would say “dying is gay” But undyne, a gay fish, would say “dying is straight” Ik shes lesbian because gay is a male stereotype, but lesbian is gay for females.
Me: what's your favorite food? the chorus: *OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO*
Mippa, your voice is downright gorgeous and awe-inspiring. It feels like you really are Undyne. And that's what makes her death at the end all the more heartbreaking.
Wow. Words can't describe how good this is. Let me start from the beginning. When I first downloaded the scratch tracks I went straight to Megalovania, expecting it to easily be my favorite. But after listening through all the scratch tracks, BAATH really grew on me. After listening to the scratch track of it over and over, I came to love this song. First off, the lyrics are amazing. You've managed to make catchy lyrics that fit the music and also represent the intensity of the battle. I was actually singing along when I watched this the first time because I had memorized the lyrics long ago because they are so catchy. I'm also quite glad that you chose to use the fast paced version of BAATH. I've seen a lot of other covers that have used slow piano versions of the song which really takes the "Battle" out of "Battle Against A True Hero." Next is the voice. Mippa is by far my favorite Undyne actress, and she captures the character so well. She really has a beautiful voice, and it was so cool to hear her singing again, especially for this song. She captures the emotions of Undyne during the Battle so well. The Determination to end this Tale, the sadness from the loss of life, and the exhaustion from pushing herself so hard. Mippa just adds that little extra to the song that really puts the viewer in the moment. Finally, the mix. BAATH is such a good song on its own, but I feel its stuck in the shadow of Megalovania. The song itself is fantastic, but the mix you've made takes all the good and makes it better. All these remixes on their own are so good, but putting them together just forms a musical masterpiece that is candy to my ears. After listening to the scratch tracks multiple times, I started to really appreciate the mix. The sheer intensity of the music is incredible. At the final verse when Undyne is singing "Real Heroes fight, to defend what is right..." the music is just perfection. I can just imagine in my head a theater stage with lights flashing, spotlights flying around the theater, and light spears flying in all directions to fit the climatic moment of the music. I would REALLY appreciate the instrumental download for this song because it is so damn good. At some points its a little difficult to hear the instrumentals, which is a little sad because it really is a musical masterpiece. So if you could hook me up with a download, I'll be eternally in your debt. But not only is the BAATH mix great, "But The Earth Refused To Die" remix is absolutely perfect! I had never heard that remix before the scratch track, but once I heard that it became my favorite version of "But The Earth Refused To Die." I don't know what it is about it, but it's so good. The orchestra did a fantastic job. Just another thing to add to this cover to make it better. So in conclusion this is a work of art. Everything; the music, the lyrics, the singing, all comes together to form the greatest version of BAATH I have ever heard. It took 2 years to have a cover do this song justice, but it's here and I am very happy about that. This song rivals Megalovania as my favorite from the Genocide Package, and it's easily one of my favorite Undertale songs you've made a cover for. If you guys really like this, then expect the same quality for Megalovania, both fantastically made songs. Again, this is easily the best cover you'll find for BAATH on the internet. I guess now we just need to have Power Of Neo and Megalovania and people will finally be satisfied, but there are still some great songs along the way. This is a piece of musical art and I really hope it does well because it deserves it. Fantastic job, MOTI. Can't wait for the next songs to come : ) Also! Happy Belated 2nd Birthday, Undertale! What a great present from the community!
Great summary, and I agree. Although I've always preferred Battle Against A True Hero in the Game, and because Undyne is my favorite Character, what you said makes alot of sense. The sound design of this song alone was a musical masterpiece. And considering what you said, I'm just excited for whatever happens in this Genocide Package. Every song in both the Musical and the Genocide Package has been all hit and no miss in my opinion. Here's to more musical masterpieces!
ToxicRadiation I completely agree. Even since I've played through undertale, I've always loved BAaTH over all other songs, and I could not find any musical cover that did it justice. This is an amazing cover between the mix of the song, voice acting, and the chorus it is extremely well done
After having searched for many voice dubs of Undyne's monologue, this is by far the best I've ever seen. She conveys her roaring rage and newfound strenght so well.
Holy hell! Four songs in and right now this is my favorite of the package so far. Not just for hitting that nail dead on the head of the atmosphere and feeling from the genocide run in the original game, but also just having every bit just be amazing. The voice acting is top notch, the sound mixing is solid, and the lyrics and pace are just straight up gold. I appluase you MOTI crew. I liked (for lack of a less sadistic sounding word) the previous songs of the package, but I just straight up loved how well this was put together.
God, that was amazing. I have chills. I. Wow. First of all, Invidebit, you NAILED the Monster Kid monologue. I could hear the terror in every stutter, the dawning realization in your voice. The determination in "you're gonna have to get through me first" was really well done. And then Mippa comes in as injured Undyne and GOD the way she seems to be pushing herself through every line, the obvious pain in her voice, the way it shakes and quavers. The way it BUILDS as the music does, and the way the music for But The Earth Refused to Die starts out so mournful and gets so powerful as Undyne herself does... ah, it's so good. The way she just growls out "You're gonna have to try a little HARDER than that!" Ugh. So amazing. The actual song is really a work of art. Mippa sells every line of the intensity of it, and the way she keeps pace is honestly amazing. BAATH is even HARDER to keep up with than Spear of Justice and Mippa manages to keep pace the entire time, she only seems out of breath when it makes sense for Undyne to seem out of breath. There is such FURY in how Mippa sings that it absolutely blew me away. I love the way she barks out "you thought it easy, you thought it fun". THE FREAKING CHORUS bumps this up from amazing to absolutely epic. BAATH has always felt like some kind of intense, very metal final battle in an anime and the chorus and Mippa's vocals only add to that feeling. I love how much of the song is just a straight up "screw you, this world DOES NOT end here". Most covers of BAATH seem a lot more mournful but this. This is just pure teeth-gritting determination and it's wonderful. I love the line "echos of your sin, sings of hopes and dreams that one day might have been". It's such a great, bitter reminder of what once was. The way Mippa's voice gets so melodic when she sings "Honoring those who have gone! Though you've tried your best, we will carry on!" Just. Ah, it's such a rousing battlecry, the way Undyne pointedly says WE instead of I as she fights really drives it home that for her this is about everyone. I got chills at the "I REFUSE TO DIE!" line, I almost teared up at how intense it was. It may be my favorite part of the song, though it's tied with the little piano bit. The little quieter piano bit of BAATH is what always gets me. BAATH has always felt like some kind of epic anime tune and it's the piano bit in particular that I love. BAATH gives the impression of this epic thunderstorm of a battle, it is all crashing noise and thunder and a constant downpour. But then there's this little piano bit and it's like the game is mourning, like the music itself knows Undyne is fighting a losing battle. It sounds like her heart weighing down with what's already been lost, it's the fact that Papyrus never answered his phone catching in her throat, it's the thought that if she fails what happens to Alphys and Asgore and everyone she loves. So the way Mippa sings "you killed me once, you won't do it again!" is just. It's got such resolve to it. The way she gasps out "struggle on", like she's insisting to herself that it's the human who struggles and not her because she cannot accept the alternative. I think "while everyone's hearts beat as one!" is my favorite line just for how it's delivered. The way it's delivered makes it feel like the one moment where Undyne is allowing herself to express her grief and frustration, her desperation, it hits such an intense beautiful note in that one moment. "You never thought our lives meant anything, yours must mean nothing as well!" It's so bitter, it's so harsh, it's such a great "do not go gently" sort of line and it hits the entire MOOD of the genocide run so well. The way "Real heroes fight to defend what is right!" is getting truly breathless now, she's tiring, she's losing steam but she just can't stop now, she can't and the way that last line doesn't end pretty at all... The final monologue before she goes is absolutely heartbreaking and beautiful. She sounds so devastated when she realizes she can't go any further. And how she maintains that smile in her voice even with her final breath, the melty noises, the way you added the stabby effects... ugh. And then the ending with everything so quiet and empty and those first few bars of quiet water, ending on the disquieting image of the Hotland sign being turned off... This is really something. I loved every minute of it, obviously. I love Spear of justice but I think this may outshine it. Sym's art is beautiful, I LOVE the lighting effects on the spears. The action poses are great, I love the shot of Frisk and Undyne's spears meeting-- it's such a great contrast to SoJ with Frisk's poses feeling so much more... practiced, more on the offense, just. Mmm. The addition of the knife always being poised and ready is just such a good touch. You guys are really knocking this package of songs out of the park. Amazing job.
I think the lack of colour is due to Undyne the Undying's sprite not having an official colour scheme. Like what they did for Asriel's god form in Hopes and Dreams
Best lines of this music video: - You killed me once. You won't do it again - Real heroes fight. To defend what is right. You fight for the sake of a game
I can't believe I haven't seen a single person mention this in the nearly 3 years it's been out, but the backing music is masterful. The drums especially, since I know more about those then the piano. The constant but powerful drumbeat gives a nice impact to the stronger parts to this song, and it's absence in the softer portions give them an extra emotional punch. The piano just accentuates the vocals near perfectly, and it all comes together like a fine cooked meal. Truly top-notch, a masterful piece.
@@XxshadowcharxX That doesn't mean anything. The smile is just to show that now instead of being surprised by the enemies, you're happy for seeing a weak monster.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA You are very determined for coming this far.
Why are we stronger and better if we are evil? Because that's how real life works. The only down side is... well... It has some risks and stuff. I always think Undyne wins against her enemy, because it's Undyne! Screw Sans! He lost his hopes and dreams, before Frisk came. I'm disappointed that the community ignores Undynes power/character and says, Sans is the only 'strong' or 'important' monster... If anything, Sans is pathetic. He only fights you, because he has nothing to lose. He gave up a long time ago. Doesn't even beliefe in the pacifist ending... I hate the 'You killed Papyrus and this is why I kill you' thing. He doesn't 'care' about Papyrus. Time is going to be reset anyway. What's the point in 'caring' about people. I always want, that Undyne just wins against the Player/Frisk/Chara or whatever you want.
Good can be strong too, and good has always been evil's bane, this does not mean either cannot lose to eachother, but no matter how much evil may try to burn out justice, someone will always rise again to strike them down in the place of those who have fallen and as the voice of the people. Evil, is strong, but good is too.
Sadly not in real life. You live better if you ignore some laws. It's unfair, it always was and it can't be changed. Besides, nobody can be always good, sometimes you have to ignore laws to survive. It's very rare, but it's possible. If I would be in a game, I would be 'evil', but I try to keep myself neutral. It has the best survivability. Which 'side' would you go, if you were in a video game? The reason why evil is losing in most games is that they don't use their real powers. In most call of duty games, the evil guys have won, but lose, because they don't use their power and this is just stupid. If I would be the main villain in Advanced Warfare, than I would have won years before the plot twist or I would have killed the player without hesitation... If you look it that way... being evil or against the law is a way better than the good people. If Undertale would be real life, than Undyne would destroy the child in every route.
At first I didn't really like it because it was recited like a poem . Then listening again, i really started to enjoy it.. it stood out more than any song. Also pretty fun to lip sync to
If there was ever a monster I would give my soul to (near death ofc), Undyne is that one; her morals are the same as mine. Fight until the last breath to help protect others who can't. Imagine her power with a human soul that's willing? At the very least she would die due to her power.
Alphys knows what happens when monster souls get too much determination. And undyne confirms she is watching the fight. Which means she just had to watch undyne die, then be resurrected through determination knowing exactly what the end result would be even if she wins, and then had to watch you beat her to death again.
@@oranoawesome1607 not quite true. Undyne as shes dying (again) says that she was "watching me fight you, and if anything went wrong. She would evacuate the entire underground". Meaning she hadnt quite began the process, just got all the preparations done
I love how the pacifist/neutral run is about the monsters trying to get frisk’s soul, while the genocide run is about the monsters trying to protect the underground from frisk/chara. It is so mood setting.
...wow... Out of everything, I actually keep admiring the voice acting before and after the song itself. Monster Kid was the perfect mix of stunned disbelief and terrified bravery. And then when undyne get's injured protecting him, and her monologue as she gathers herself--quite literally since she's falling to pieces--to the backdrop of music (is it "but the earth refused to die?") it's just...so...remarkably believable. I honestly could just listen to those sections over and over again. The ending too, trailing off into the quiet ambient track as the human just casually leaves hotland. There's some fun background music going on as they enter that tunnel. A low rumbling hum almost? Conveying the mounting dread as the true hero falls, and doom is approaching for the monsters in hotland and beyond. Since I'm on the topic of editing, I'm not entirely sure I needed the sound effects added as she's melting. They are...rather appropriate all things considered, but even so, they gave me more shivers than the cracks in the last song. The song itself is oddly more melodic than I expected. Spear of Justice was just so bouncy and...not really harsh but...I don't know. It seems to be a common theme with this package, the music is leaving me without words. Mippa is just so talented. She has such a powerful voice, and is able to hit all the sustained notes while still maintaining the energy characteristic to our resident fish warrior. The lyrics worked so well (although my favorite segment has to be "You killed me once, you won't kill me again~" where it slows down into the gentler section of the music until the end) and the addition of the choir as supporting voices just gives everything so much more depth and gives weight to the whole "all our hearts beating as one" theme. The art is dynamic (that shot on the bridge tho, with the curve in the background.) Undyne's armor has a tone of extra detail (the rivets on the belt! the layers on the armor skirt thing!) and the colors... Like you could barely see the blue in her skin. While the rest of the image is desaturated too, which fits overall with the mood the whole package seems to be trying to evoke, Undyne's is even MORE so. She's sacrificed everything, even her colors, for the power to try and bring the human down. And alas, it was not enough. Whelp. Looking forward to next week.
How can anyone NOT like the beginning part of this? It's gorgeous! Mippa nailed Undyne's voice. The desperation in it there before she transforms- Its awesome! And that song-! You guys did great!!
It's honestly so weird to realize this is the same game where you can go on a date with a COOL dude, a date with a dinosaur, fight a robot by rising the ratings, meet a joke cracking skeleton, and a no armed child all in the same run. It's an adorable game with lots of charm to it, there's a reason the pacifist route is so good. Then there's the genocide route, all that love and everything you could find is just gone, and it's gone because you wanted it to be gone. You don't just accidentally do a genocide run, you commit to it. You hunt, you kill, you hunt, and you kill for fun because you want to see what happens. At the end of the day you aren't you anymore, just what you call "you"
This is the game you can have an almost real mother that loves and cares for you enough to give you your own room and bake a pie for you.The same game where you can make a lot of friends in a new environment where most of them care about you a lot. Same one where there is a character that laughs and ruins their kitchen making spaghetti, living a life helping monsters, The same game you can brutally tear families and an entire society apart along with countless monsters committing suicide, shutting down an entire region and making families and monsters who did nothing wrong evacuate their homes only to be stabbed until they die
This game is so lit it knows when to joke and when to take itself seriously its fun and charming it has a banger soundtrack and EPIC boss battles I love it so much
Now not only have you killed your mother figure, not only have you killed the most innocent monster in the underground, but you killed the most heroic person in the underground. Monster is too nice a word to describe you now. You're a *DEMON*
Ehh. Undyne's 'heroism' is more like genocidal racism, and Toriel is too forced to actually be innocent. She's made to be so perfect and only wants to protect you, but that's exactly why she does harm. She insists on keeping you locked away so the world can't hurt you. It's toxic motherhood. She knows you can't stay down there. You have your own life and family and have to get back to them. What she should have done is prepare those kids and teach them how to fight. Make them capable of defending themselves. That way, they might have stood a chance out in the real world. Asgore was the only real character in this game, and he's also truly the bravest and most innocent.
I am sure that there a lot that killed way more monsters and nobody cared: The Terrarian Steve The guy from crashlands All the characters in Final Fantasy
*Comment section constantly asks for Genocide Run *Comment section is sad and asks why they've done this "YOU ARE GOING TO FINISH YOUR DESERT, AND YOU ARE GONNA LIKE IT!" Overall, this is a pretty great song. Good job.
I like the call backs to the other endings “Humans... Monsters... Everyone” (Flowey from Neutral ending) “Everyones hopes, everyone’s dreams” (Pacifist Ending commands)
Oh my god. WOW. That was extremely powerful. The singing, the voice acting, everythiNG WAS SO POWERFUL. WHAT MIPPA YOUR VOICE HOW and the lyrics !!! Everything is a huge musical slap in the face
Honestly not a fan of the pacing of the lyrics, but the voice acting itself was amazing! Had the lyrics matched the rhythm and melody of the song, I would've been so into this.
I don't wanna use the words 'It would be better if...', but it'd be better if the pacing during the 'There'll be no more pain' parts were more like the intro of the song
Well, the reason that it isn't matching the rhythm because it less of the character singing and more of them facing a battle. The pacing feels fitting, considering that it's Genocide, not Pacifist.
As if it wasn't obvious enough with the original face, now Undyne the Undying, the true hero, gets to spit directly in our faces and call us the villain!
It's hard to describe just how well the last part of the song has been performed. Both culmination of the battle and exhaustion of Undyne are expressed so extremely perfect. An amazing job, I just can't find the words stong enough to express how great it is!
I am not demanding ANYTHING when I say this. Because I really appriciate what you guys did for the musical, and I think that the amount of time and effort you put into this is just wonderful. This has honestly been on my mind since you've started the genocide rout. I'm not even a big genocide fan when I say this. I'm only watching these vids becuse you guys are just super amazing and tallented people. I am really, morbidly, curious on how you guys are gonna pull off Megalovania. (That is, if you're doing it or not) Knowing that you guys focus on the emmotion and whats going on, rather following the song. Just thinking about the lyrics Alex might use for this song is just... bone chilling. (No pun intended. Seriously, it wasn't.) I seriously feel for Steel though because YIKES that song is gonna be hard. The way that Undyne's song turned out in the end was just powerful and had me rooting for her all the way through, even though I knew the human was going to win at the end. (I know you guys got a lot of harrasment in the past, so I was really worried about posting this comment. Because I love you guy's material so much and I want to keep coming back. xD) Seriously though, Undertale the Musical has been a big inspiration for me. Helps me focus on my homework and such. I have mild ADHD so its hard to focus on work in just silence alone. I have to have something playing, and this helps me get work done. Thank you guys so much for creating the musical. Keep doing what you're doing! :D
Want to know something sad? Why didn't Asgore absorb the human souls or even know of this child's existence until it was too late? If that's the case then Alphys must not have warned Asgore about what happened. And the fact that there were still innocent monsters roaming when you enter Hotland means Alphys failed to do her part. But why? Is she that much of a klutz she can't do anything right? Partly true. But the main reason? Seeing her love die was just too much for the little scientist that she killed herself to be with Undyne again. Poor Alphys :(
The innocent monsters are those who stayed behind to try and stop you. They knew they'd die, but they wanted to stall for Alphys. As for Asgore, he knew he couldn't win even with the souls. Plus, his grief for what he had done made him depressed to the point of seeing himself as someone worth killing. So yeah...
A lot of people think Alphys did warn Asgore, but her message somehow was intercepted...I have to agree...you wanna know who I think intercepted it? A Certain Yellow Flower.
lyrics: You spilled blood you thought it easy, you thought it fun Now I've found out, now your reign of terror's done! families you've broken, the ones you've left in tears their hopes and dreams empower this hero's spear! there'll be no more pain, you wont kill again face a true hero the blade of evil's bane our future is grim, the chance to survive is slim but we don't live or die based on your whims! howling of the wind, echoes of your sin sings of hopes and dreams, that one day might have been now I rise again this will be your end you will never break MY DETERMINATION! do-on't you dare, give me that smile time to say good bye, fallen human child time to repent, for all of your pain, you will never see the light of day again honoring those, who have gone, though you tried your best we will carry on we will stand strong through pain and death we will rejoice as you take your last breath the'll be no more pain you wont kill again face a true hero the blade of evil bane our future is grim the chance to survive is slim but we don't live or die based on your whims! howling of the wind,' echoes of your sin sings of hopes and dreams that one day might have been now I rise again this will be your end you will never break MY DETERMINATION! everyone's hopes and dreams tonight they all rest on me I'm the hero and you're the bad guy and tonight I refuse to die protecting those who survive so long as I FIGHT we will stay alive you are a beast who knows only to FIGHT but I swear I shall bring victory tonight! you killed me once, you wont do it again your path of destruction is done though you struggle on here I still remain while everyone's hearts beat as one! you never thought our lives meant anything your life must mean nothing as well but we soldier on, our victory we'll sing kids like you should all BURN IN HELL real heroes fight to defend what is right YOU fight for the sake of a game *YOUR FOLLOWING THE PATH OF GENOCIDE* *SO A TRUE HERO STANDS IN YOUR WAY!*
I did feel the singing was a tad off, but after reading the comments, I can say that it was because Undyne(In the song, at least) was in pain, while doing her best not to show it. Once again, you impress me, Jack! Wait, or was it Jerry....?
