Call me crazy, but I've been hearing this song like 2-3 times a day for a week. I became emotionaly attached to this game

The final notes of "Last Goodbye" absolutely breaks my heart.

Something I love about these tracks is the fact that it uses real instrumentation. The guitars, the drums, everything sounds realistic, instead of the stylized bitcrunched 16-bit music for every other track. What a brilliant way to illustrate the final conclusive fight in the final fight for not just your life... But the world, and your friend. It stops being a game. It feels like so much more. Just from switching instrumentation. My God, Toby Fox.

Replayed Undertale for the first time in 7 years today. I cried, remembering being a child and playing the game for the first time. All the emotions came back to me, amplified by the nostaliga. Truly, there will never be an experience like this game again.

I feel sorry for Toby. The guy just liked Earthbound and wanted to make a small little passion project. He clearly put a ton of work into it, but I don't think he ever imagined he was actually making one of the most important games of the decade. The people that played this game first, the callused 90's kids turned adults who'd been caught between the advent of the technological age and the stubborness of the prior generation of baby boomers were disenfranchised and muddled by an increasingly sociopolitical world. I don't think it's an exaggeration to say a lot of people were either miserable finding out life wasn't like the cartoons they grew up watching and many of the people into highschool and college turned out to be piss excuses for friends. Everyone was and has been excessively bitter for a long, long time. Then along comes Undertale and for the first time in more than a decade and a half, people suddenly remembered what it was like to be a kid again; to have that childlike sense of curiosity, wonder, and hope for what was to come. This game didn't explode like it did because it was "good". It exploded because it made people HAPPY. Not placated. Not bemused or distracted like 95% of games these days. "Happy". Toby didn't know what he'd done, and I know shit sucked for him for a while. He went from being a fan of another franchise to a celebrity literally overnight. But I'm glad it all happened. This game really was something special. Even with a cringe fanbase and the debate of just HOW great it actually is, there's no denying it did something right; something other game studios should be studying. Toby, I wish you the best. I'm glad you made what you made. And judging from your work on Delta Rune chapters 1 and 2, I'm going to assume you are as well. The world's a scary place, but people like you make it better.

This battle makes me cry. Unless my friend names the first fallen human urmum. It's kinda hard not to cry when the boss is saying, "I'm so alone, urmum... I'm so afraid, urmum..." I mean, seriously. Way to ruin the emotional boss fight.

I was going through some really tough shit during middle school, but when I discovered this game, it was a real game changer for me. Life was still shit but Undertale really helped me cope with my problems, and knowing how a wacky game like Undertale helped me so much while I was going through one of the shittiest periods of my life, I can't help but feel sentimental and nostalgic whenever I hear these songs. It has been 5 years since I played this game for the first time, 4 years that I played it for the second time, 2 years that I played it for the third time and 1 month since I played it for the fourth time ... WHY DOES THIS MUSIC STILL MAKE ME CRY?

Why I love the True Pacifist energy: It feels like a truly spiritual ending. Not only are you freeing the monsters and finally allowing them access to the human world but you're bringing peace to a broken-hearted father and the tortured soul of a child who didn't deserve to die. The souls of the Algamites (Can't spell!) are reunited with their families. It's the ultimate true happy ending-for everyone.

this was ALWAYS my favorite boss battle theme bc it sounded NOTHING like how id expect a boss battle theme to sound. its not intimidating, its not scary or foreboding, its so deeply hopeful and so certain that love will win amongst all else. its an anthem for peace, forgiveness and understanding. toby fox knew EXACTLY what he was doing.

If you close your eyes real hard and imagine, all these songs summarize the fight with Asriel as a whole. You get confronted by him, you hold on to your determination, you save your friends, you manage to touch with his feelings, you bring love back to his heart, you turn him back to who he was, he apologizes, brings the monsters back, shares a last hug of goodbye and leaves so no one would see him become empty and emotionless once he becomes Flowey again

Oh god I cried so hard when I heard the beginning of His Theme. It's one of the saddest songs for me. This mix can makes me cry whenever I hear it ;___________; BUT I CANT STOP LISTENING IT !!!!

There could never be a more beautiful, heroic, happy yet sad, emotional battle theme to convey what it really means to believe. Hopes and dreams just screams you will never give up, never give in, and even through all of the sorrow, heartbreak, and despair, your life, the lives of others, wether it be the lives of strangers, friends, family, or even enemies, are worth fighting for because if you have allies who truly care about making a better and more beautiful world, then you really can save anyone. And this is the Theme that plays when you say that you will actually save everyone. That your not going to leave anyone behind. And you will die before you stop trying to save them. When you loose this boss battle, the game literally says that you refuse to take no for an answer and will not accept failure and that there is a only way forward and that is victory. It's beautiful and by far one of the most significant pieces if video game music. And u can't wait for the rest of the new Something Series Undertale/Deltarune Saga that Terminal montage is working on. I'm finally going to watch that video right after this. ☄️🌠☄️ 💖

probably in 20 years undertale might be forgotten by some but i hope surely not. this game is really the best of the best. i might be late to this video but i really hold this game dear to my heart. after everything really this soundtrack is amazing and so is the game. the storyline, plot, friendship, choices you need to make, deciding to be a good or bad person. deciding if you want to kill everyone or be friends with everyone. i think if you really play it and go after the storyline its really awesome. , its really heartwarming and wholesome and i hope all people that have played this game and still play it or just played it i really hope it is never forgotten. but when it is i hope all teens, kids or even adults dont forget. all love to toby and his passion to make the game UNDERTALE, Deltarune chapter 1 and 2 i mean its really amazing. love, undertale fan. I love this game’s soundtrack, this game has inspired me in many ways and given me an emotional attachment to it. I wish I could play it again with no memory of it, just to experience it all again

This is without question the best song in the game along with finale, megalovania, asgore' boss theme and battle against a true hero. I love this song so much I just can't get enough of it. Undertale maybe bad due to the toxic fanbase it suffered, but behind that lies a unique indie game with a great soundtrack, although not as great as a certain Sega franchise who is somehow still alive. This is also my favorite final boss from the three routes.
