I actually don’t think it’s like ruining out of ideas. More that Ghost fight is this games mini boss motifs. And instead of making one mini boss theme every mini boss gets the mini boss motif
I like how even after you defeat asriel and break the barrier and everyone's happy, you can still fight her. It's like, even after you freed monsters, there's still someone unhappy. Still someone with a bone to pick with you. That's just incredible.
I genuinely forgot to backtrack before I completed the Pacifist route, & on my way back to say "howdy" to Asriel I suddenly remembered that I was playing on the Switch. The sorta-creepy music in that room being replaced by Fallen Down (Respite) really changes the atmosphere, lmao.
You survived Sans. You defeated Undyne the Undying. You bested Asgore, the King of Monsters. You tamed Asriel, the Goat of Hyperdeath. And you thoroughly japed The Great Papyrus. And now, you face your greatest challenge of all. You must DEFEAT ANIME.
She's technically the hardest in the Pacifist Route, since she can kill you in 4 hits EDIT: As in her Pacifist Boss fight is harder than her Neutral and Genocide Route. I know about the other bosses damn.
Toby suprised everybody with this awesome end to Dummy's character arc, and a great theme! ... then DeltaRune came out a month later and *everybody forgot about it.*
But would you rather remember about a almost entirely new game or a new battle in a existing game that is exclusive to a specific console with a catchy theme?
@Arabella Grethey There's a lot of things I don't understand. 1. If the fusion is Mad Mew Mew, how did the gender swap? 2. How does Mad Mew Mew's head come off if Jevil's head is attached to a spring coil? 3. How did they become an Undertale character if Jevil and Seam are from Deltarune? 4. How did they get the power to split Frisk's heart in half?
Skelet's Play I'm pretty sure it's Mad Dummy. It starts out by repeating one word three times, something Mad Dummy likes to do. It talks about meeting you at some point before, and realizes you don't recognize them, meaning a previous encounter had to have happened, and the only previous encounter that this really lines up with is Mad Dummy's. It talks about being Undyne's training dummy, which actually happens at one point with Mad Dummy. It's angry all the time, which was the whole point of Mad Dummy's character. It actually hints at having left the dummy body in favor of the Mew Mew doll (and that they stole it from Dr. Alphys). I think there's a lot of evidence pointing towards Mad Mew Mew being Mad Dummy. There's even the fact both are named after the thing they possess, but with the word "mad" placed before it.
Pathetic house: hey napstablook can I copy your homework? Napstablook: yeah sure just make it look different. Mad dummy: hey pathetic house can I copy your homework? Pathetic house: just make it look different so nobody will know. Muffet: Hey mad dummy can I copy your homework? Mad dummy: yeah just change it a little bit. Mad Mew Mew: hey muffet can i copy your homework? Muffet: Yeah just make it look different so none of the others know about it.
Mad Mew Mew is a Spider Dance remix, which is a Dummy! remix, which is a Ghost Fight remix, which is a Patetic House remix. Toby Fox made the full Undertale soundtrack based on 5 songs.
Metal crusher is a it's showtime remix, death by glamour is a metal crusher remix mixed with core. The ruins is a spear of justice remix too. Enemy aproaching, temmie shop, dogsong, and anticipation same motifs. Snowy and dating fight.
Suppose it depends on what it's about haha. If it's a real world setting with no real magic or big ass weapons then, yes! But otherwise no. No it doesn't lol.
The split soul mechanic in this battle was really interesting, i would love to see something similar in Deltarune, potentially using WASD and arrow keys for the soul halves
@@sonario6489 Not really though. Keyboards have enough keys & 99% of people who use controllers use ones with two sticks. There's even a fan port of the fight for PC.
@@D_YellowMadness xD I meant it was designed for the Switch version specifically because of the joy-cons being able to split. I'm sure we'll see it again at some point in Deltarune since we still have 5 chapters to go
@@D_YellowMadness Yeah. Notice how the boss fight and the split soul mechanic ONLY appear in the Switch version of Undertale, aka the console with the joycons that split apart. It was intentional for the Switch
H-Huh...!? That look on your face... She’s already got someone else...? Well, if she’s already got someone else... DO YOU KNOW WHAT I’M GOING TO DO TO THEM!?!?!? I’LL RESPECT THEM! I’LL RESPECT THEIR RELATIONSHIP! NOTHING BUT THE BEST! BEST OF LUCK! (That’s the best part of the fight lmao.)
I keep hearing people say that Mad Mew Mew is the Mad Dummy. The "someone else" is the Mad Dummy. This is an unrelated ghost who was Undyne's training dummy before.
Honestly I would have perfered Muffet being expanded on. (Though she may be I haven't played the Switch or PlayStation version) She dose feel like a main character and thus should have more of plotline like some of the others.
*sees that anime is truely real* *does true pacifist again* *tells undyne anime is real* *gets out the living doll as its yelling angrily at me* *undyne's nose makes an ocean of blood*
fire man - Dogsong is only used for one mini boss, though. It also has uses outside of battle, like when the Annoying Dog steals the Legendary Artifact, or when Sans dunks on you. Dogsong is more of a comedic theme more than a mini boss theme.
@@Topman836 yes the red and blue for nintendo switch is obvious, but his point is when u mix the colors you get purple, which is also what muffet makes you
I heard remixes of this theme and assumed it was fan-made, so it surprised me to see that this is a real track on the OST. I'm so glad Undertale got new content, despite what was advertised in the Switch trailer.
Cake Milkshake No, it means that Spider Dance at home is different enough for it to be unique and considered NOT what the child was looking for. Yes, I am fun at parties.
@@knave6257 im pretty sure this meme format is supposed to be that the "_____ at home:" is a bootleg version of what the child is looking for. example: "mom can you buy me the nintendo switch?" mom: "we have switch at home." switch at home: "WII U"
I had no idea Undertale had new content... not surprised that it came with yet another absolutely terrific track. I would honestly kill for a sequel just so we can have new music.
she preemptively rejects herself because she already knows Undyne is into Alphys and goes on an angry rant about how she's gonna support them and their relationship
I love how toby thinks further, cause she turns your soul in a nintendo switch color and function, since its the special boss for that edition, ans it was swotch so they had to reference with those colors, but toby remembered that mixing those you get purple
I'm excited for this character, and really glad they're doing something with Mew Mew for once, but I'm not so excited for what the internet is going to do to it.
The dual coloured heart while clearly a reference to the joycon and their ability to separate from that device I feel they all represent something deeper. They're essentially a representation Mad Mew Mews struggle. The two halves fit prefectly together and when at rest stay linked with ease. However they are not a single entity and can separate just as easily. Mad Mew Mew herself is two halves, the ghost and body, trying desperately to become one whole. Even with the advantages that come with the power to separate she just wants to be one whole.
It just occurred to me that the “Ghost Fight remixes” ARE themed. They are the themes of minor boss fights. Characters that aren’t story relevant and etc.
@@chie47896 it doesn’t really work since blooky isn’t trans and the other ghost who is trans doesn’t even use this motif, he uses a bunch of his own and in geno he steals from undyne’s song
"Wondering where I got this body?" "WOULDN'T YOU LIKE TO KNOW!? HEH HEH HEH HEH!" "Sure, I'll tell you." Excuse me, do you have a purrsonality disorder or something?
Did you just pointed out that entire line of the fight just to do a joke by adding an extra leter (considered to be r) at the end of a word? I love this dude.
Heheheh... Heheh... Well, if she's got somebody else...THEN YOU KNOW WHAT I'M GONNA DO TO THEM!?? *I'll RESPECT THEM!!!* *I'll RESPECT THEIR RELATIONSHIP!!!* *HAHAHA!!!* *HAPPY FOR HER!!* *NOTHING BUT THE BEST!!!* *BEST OF LUCK!!!*
guess undyne was right"ANIME IS REAL!" I WAS SO SURPRISED TO SEE MEW MEW IN ACTION well at least as a dummy BUT THIS WAS INSANE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! TOBY YOU HAVE MADE MY DAY THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Mariokirby - Personally, I think it sounds a little more like ASGORE in some parts. It has those deep piano notes in the background, and then it has a more soft ending which builds up again.
@DropkicktheDecepticon They are not mini bosses, just "unique" enemies. (for the royal guard, the mercenaries of CORE are not unique) Greater Dog use Dogsong, and the Mercenaries use... CORE.
This was great. Mad dummy turning out to be most comfortable in a girl body is really good characterization, as well as their masochistic excitement and pleasure from being Undine's training dummy. Really good encounter. *Edit:* So uhhhhhh turns out I'm a trans girl who is also masochistic. Hm, funny how that works
@@magmakyuu8967 They are trans icon so that doesn't mean anything. Kinda like Mettaton or Alluka from HxH (who is a 100% boy that wants to be a girl but certain people want to deny that)
Well if a lot of people hate weebs??? You know what i'm gonna do... I'll RESPECT THEM I'll BE HAPPY FOR THEM I'll HOPE NOTHING BUT BEST BEST FOR THE WEEBS.
"What would you even NEED a life-sized cartoon girl doll for, anyway?" -Mad Mew Mew Sounds pretty Alphys to me, but appearantly Mew Mew is Undyne's training dummy.
I hope that there's a scene where Mad Mew Mew meets Alphys and Undyne after fully fusing, oh how they would fangirl out! If there's not, there's always comics :D
They dont have to, this is still Mad Dummy, Like in Underswap, Mew Mew probably wont be swapped, just their personality and be more like the Dummy from the ruins
Fun fact: even before undertale switch, in alphys's lab there's a poster in front of a table that looks a lot like mew mew. I just found this out Edit: that's mew mew kissy cutie 1 You know alphys's reaction to mmkc2 meme
Here A Tip of Fandoms Step 1:A new character has released Step 2:Hear the theme. Step 3:People makes a remix version. Step 4:AU versions of Mew Mew and Themes.
CosmicPizza13 Pppffftt I was such a dumb kid new to the Internet and liked Undertale but I probably understood nothing of its true meaning until I rewatched a let's play a year and a half ago.
Mew Mew : Hey, I need some help on something. Can you help? Muffet : Hmmm? Mew Mew : I need a theme. Muffet : !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mew Mew : P E R F E C T.
Juniper: may i have permission to use your theme? Mew mew: N O Juniper: *STOPS MEW MEW* P E R F E C T I O N Edit: i made my idea that juniper can stop anyones soul to light blue.
I mean, at his point Gaster is pretty much omnipresent. His 4 note theme appears in most songs in the soundtrack. Megalovania is the only song in the soundtrack to not have any leitmotifs. *_Suspicious, eh?_*
@@samueloneil134You're right, there's Undyne (the creepy song when you meet her for the first time), Amalgam, It's Raining Somewhere Else, and probably others
Mew Mew:''Hey muffet, can I use your song for my fight? Its so cool, mew~'' Muffet:''yes dearie, Only change a few notes~ Ahuhuhuhu'' **Earlier** Muffet: ''Hey dummy, dearie~, can I Use a piece of your song? don't worry, i'll pay it~'' Dummy (Mad dummy): ''OK! OK! JUST CHANGE IT A BIT YOU IDIOT!!!'' **Even earlier** Dummy:''Hey blooky, Can you make a remix of your theme? I'ts for my battle'' Blooky: ''O-Ok, i guess, I'll Just change it a bit So is not that obvious'' Edit: I just realized mew mew is an actual anime
