Come underwater and watch how bass interact with your lures! From what triggers a bite, to when you should set the hook, there is so much to be learned by looking below the surface. Some of these fish are stalking their prey, others are defensive, and others are reacting to movement. Its amazing what we can learn!
In today's footage Tim is interacting with bass in different phases with different presentations. Between a Texas Rig, a jig, and a ned rig, its interesting to see how the bites can vary. Some fish inhale the bait while others nip at it repeatedly. At the end of the day the question is, when would you have set the hook? Would you have caught the fish or reeled up a torn up trailer?
Below you'll find links to the exact baits and gear we used in the footage. We've also included some great combos for fishing these presentations. All the links go directly to Tackle Warehouse where you can see detailed photos and descriptions of each item.

Honestly out of all the videos that you guys make. These types of videos probably the most informational that you could give a bass angler such as myself. I'm a gearhead, and gear junkie. I have it all. I have thousands of dollars worth of gear. So gear reviews and things like that are helpful sometimes but really not necessary. What I enjoy to learn is what are the fish doing and how are they reacting to baits I present them

You have helped me catch so many fish over the last two years and I'm always sure to check out your videos come spring time as I get excited to get out on the water! This underwater footage is amazing! I really wish you would show a camera of whoever is casting and how they are working the rod/reel and getting the action out of the bait! It would be awesome to have that reference in this video and really show us how to work the baits! Thanks so much and we appreciate the great content! Keep them coming!

I always start my day by watching one of your Vid's and end my day by watching another . Changed my minset completely on Bass fishing . Took me around 10 yrs to catch my first 4kg but now catch plenty above that . Looking to use the info I've gathered over last couple months to take Bassing to another level and broaden my techniques. On feeling the first tink on the line I always wait to feel the tension before setting the hook . This was another interesting Vid to watch . Thanks buddy 😁

The way the bass bite the pincher’s first makes since to me. The bass wants to disable the crawfish’s defenses before swallowing him, preventing any chance of the craw clamping onto throat tissue on the way down.

Hahaha yeah that’s cool man. 😎😊 When I’m fishing slow on the bottom like that, I usually just try to count to 3 before I swing when I feel those little soft taps. Sometimes obviously when you get absolutely smashed you know it and can just swing right… but on those soft taps I try to stay calm and imagine exactly what I just saw in this footage of it taking them a few seconds to really eat it. Only thing is, did you feel the very first contact, or was it too soft to detect..? Haha but you always find out by how far down they got the hook, even though every bite is different, you can still use that information to get a better idea of if you need to pull the trigger faster with that particular rod and bait. Good stuff dude. That was fun to watch. 😊🤙🏽

I think alot of new jig fishermen could learn alot by fishing micro jigs on a BFS rod. Being able to see some deflection without pulling the bait from their mouth can teach you alot. I've really enjoyed throwing Z-man Micro jigs with the little Missle baits crayfish dropshot bait as a trailer this winter. With that little setup it's easier to tell when they hit that line as they suck it all the way in. Anyhow, it seemed to help me fine tune some jig habits.
