Exploring a local shoreline with my underwater camera in March. Cold water but amazing sealife everywhere. Countless different species of sea creatures and seaweeds, fan worms and sponges. A truly magical trip under the waves.

What a wonderful day under the water. In our area it is illegal to take a female lobster bearing eggs and the minimum landing size is 90mm carapace. It is because of these measures that we have such a healthy lobster population. Be sure to speak to your local IFCA for your relevant bylaws. 😊🦞🦀🐟

fantastic video mate, i really enjoy these ones where your diving with commentary. Id love to get into diving and spearfishing. Is there any tips you can give for a complete novice, do i have to get training or licensing? are any regulations nationwide or specific to area.? Whats your experience mate? can we your fans expect some unreal spearfishing from you in future? It would be something else seeing you dive a wreck with naughty sized pollock, ling and conger :) keep up the good work John youre the Bomb

This may sound weird but your narrative describing the underwater segments could easily be the sound track of a children's video. I don't mean that as a slam, you have a very nonthreatening voice and the way you talk about the sea is full of knowledge and enthusiasm.

Just had an absolute dumpster fire of a day, which ended up with me being on watch over a bunch of..........well, new admissions to the United States Navy. Love seeing these underwater films John. So much wildlife that goes unnoticed by the majority of us. I think you're doing amazing well to stick it out for so long in these temperatures, then you watch loads of elderly folk enter the water in St Mawes with just a costume on and set off swimming. Way braver than me!

John! My wife was watching with me and was surprised by the amazing blue color on your lobsters. After looking into it a bit, she discovered that only about 30% of lobesters in the world have that color? Mannn, you've got it made in more ways than one there in Cornwall, don't you?

All European lobsters are some shade of blue but only very rarely do you get a true Royal Blue like that. They are incredible aren't they 😊💙🦞

Ive been away due to being easily distracted. Watching this video fills me with calm. I miss the sound of being under water in the ocean. I went on a cruise when I was at the depths of my depression. The ocean welcomed and comforted me when nothing else did. Sounds the exact same as it does in my memory. That cruise was over a decade ago❤

Lots of life around which is great to see. One bit of advice if you don't mind me saying. Use an elastic weight belt. As you're probably aware when you dive down everything compresses and you may find the weight belt sliding around. With the elastic belt it grips to your wetsuit and matches the compression if done up nice and tight. Game changer!! Cracking content as usual. 👍👍

That is something a scuba diving friend of mine suggested also. I haven’t found it slides about much but as I get deeper it does slacken from the compression. I have also experimented with using a bungee chord like Joe uses. Thanks for the advice. 👍🏻

When the title said foraging, thought you meant food, not tackle. LOL What beautiful water to dive in, like some fantastical garden. Never done any snorkeling or diving outside of one time long LONG ago in Hawaii. Very cool to watch!
