@@Kolohe56 Both impacted the game greatly. CMC fumbled in the redzone. That's essentially 3+ off the board which means no OT. I think the muffed punt return was the bigger turning point. That put KC in a very short field.
There were multiple instances of how this team screwed the pooch. That's what sucks so much, cause if you take either one of these three away, the Niners win.
Eagles fan here. That damn Purdy!! The SOB completes passes and it’s hard to beat a team that seams to complete every pass! SF is still at least top 3 I think.
@@zeonacepilot3420 If you actually looked at Purdy's stats, his average passes completed were over 30-45 yards. Might wanna check that next time. just saying.
We still got a chance, really depends on how we did in the draft. If we killed it we could def do it this year...if we just did OK, gonna be super tough.
Last year was the chance and it was blown by the o line. But also... Purdy was coming off rehab. He literally didn't have an off season. He was the best qb in the nfl last year and set a franchise record... imagine him after an actual off season not spent rehabbing....😮
A lot of what young said is true but it's not like their talent was depleted. Our draft class looks solid ( time will tell for sure ) and a lot of the team is returning. Nothing is guaranteed but they are still a winning team. As far as the chiefs go, a lot of teams are looking for ways to be successful against them.
In the last 6 superbowls there have been 3 total holding calls😂 just because you didn’t get the results you hoped don’t mean you have to blame the refs😂🤡
It was a comedy of bad luck. Greenlaw getting injured running onto the field, a punt grazing the leg of a blocker, and a bunch of holds on the Chiefs that were missed. Very frustrating, any one of those things don’t happen and I think Niners win 🫤
Brock Purdy was statistically the best qb in the nfl last year and set a franchise record... without an off season. He was rehabbing last year... imagine Brock after an actual off season as the starter...😮
No he wasn't CMC was he didn't get MVP he didn't get nothing stop hyping them up for nothing let's hope CMC don't get hurt because if he do the seasons over smh
@@danmorrison400 hahaha no I'm a real fateful y'all are the hopefuls I don't care how many times they go to the Superbowl if you don't win nobody cares h
It's good to see you Sherm.... I know the 40 owners have too much class to say this.... The 40 niners didn't lose the Super Bowl.... The referees gave the Super Bowl to Kansas City they did not call one holding penalty on kansas city's offense even though Kansas City held so badly sometimes it looks like they are trying to mug San Francisco's ....... They did not call the game fairly they called holding on San Francisco's offense and defense throughout the game took away a number of really good plays that we made first down to stuff like that with penalties but did not call any holding parents against Kansas City offense.... Wash the tape you'll see there holding nobody's calling it.... So either 1 or 3 or 4 scenarios of taken place.... Either Rodrigo and the NFL head office ordered and told all those refs not to call holding against Kansas City..... Maybe even gave them a bonus for not calling penalties against Kansas City..... Are the rest got together place money on Kansas City and hedge their bets so that they hopefully would win money in Las Vegas they decided as a group altogether to not call any holding penalties on Jensen's offense..... Or some kind of Underworld lobster group whoever the mob whoever pay them off do not call holding felonies on Kansas City so Kansas City win.... And I'm sure there are a number of other possibilities that would be out there.... But no matter what the back story is whatever you want to believe those that those scenarios the fact is if you watch the tape Kansas City's offense held every play and it wasn't called once there was no excuse for it there Needs to be an investigation and I think all of those refs Step ref that game all of them either need to be fired or at least need to be suspended and NeVER allowed to play and rough I should say any playoff game Ever Again...
Blah..blah..blah.. quit being a sore loser whining bitter crybaby in denial. They lost. Get over it. You want to be given a Super Bowl win. You don't want to earn it. Your team has multiple losses to the same team in the Super Bowl just like the Bengals.
During the 2024 Chiefs bs 49ers Super Bowl injuries. 1. LB Dre Greenlaw was injured OUT OF THE GAME (top of the 2nd quarter) 2. TE George Kittle was injured (shoulder/core) during the Super Bowl. (Kittle required core surgery after the Super Bowl.) 3. WR Deebo Samuel was injured during the Super Bowl. (pulled hamstring early in 2nd quarter) 4. OL Jon Feliciano was injured OUT OF THE GAME Super Bowl.
The Chiefs didn't have a linebacker blowing up their ACL, a Blocked field goal, hurt players etc...the scales tipped in their favors...hell they didn't even have a holding call!
Haha y'all sound like real whinner fans with all the excuses why dont you watch side by side differences of what couldve happened on both sides and both teams are guilty😂
@parrishjackson1437 chiefs had the nost penalties players in the nfl and they weren't acleld is what they are getting at. The biggest problem is the injury and muffed punt. Luck tilted their side forsure
That Super Bowl loss had me shouting all kinds of nonsense and what-ifs like the 49ers would have a SB win by now and would’ve won against the Chiefs if Saleh, McDaniel, and Demeco never left 😂 but for real I’m low key serious 😂😂
The one team that has the most call in regular games is KC and it’s HOLDING. The only one call that KC get is when Purdy was running away ?????? This makes me sick of football.
What is it supposed to mean, “is super bowl window still open??” Like, obviously. Its opener this year. Full offseason for Purdy, new receiver weapons, improved O line and cb depth, good RB backup, so many upgrades. They got as good a chance as any and better than most to win it all
@@mikeychainsaw9760 we lost because the oline wasn’t blocking at all, did u even watch the game? Chris Jones was tearing up our oline. He basically won us the game against the Lions too. Most accurate deep passing qb last year, highest qbr, highest passer rating, most passing yards in franchise history with the same amount of games and less attempts than young, Montana, Garcia. Only perfect passer rating game in franchise since Montana in the mid 90s and only one to do so w 20+ attempts. Second best qb under pressure last year. The list goes on. Just the Lions game by itself should prove he’s our guy
I agree!! Last Year was definitely our Year! This year will be extremely difficult b/c there’s a Target on our backs (again) for the second yr in a Row!
What are ppl smoking on here to think the Niners window is closed?? I mean, its tough to win the Super Bowl, infact only 1 in 32 teams do it, so far from a guarantee, but to say their window is closed any more than any other team is naive at best
I agree with "Steve" they had they chance they blew it, it's to many teams that leveled up, & was lookin good last year that's goin to make adjustments this year, so it's definitely gonna be hard to get back there especially with my "🦅's" havin the best nfl off season.. 😎
Most tough schedules ease out during the coarse of a season with injuries and other things and Most easy schedules usually end up being tough. On Paper it looks tough but we all know how teams from previous seasons underperform constantly
Means nothing. Those 6 playoffs teams basically sucked in the post-season last yr. AND you're not factoring injuries to those 6 teams by the time they play Niners. Niners have been lucky last 4 yrs. They remained relatively healthy in 2nd halves of the seasons. Whereas the playoff teams they played against suffered major injuries to star players. Keyshawn remembers nothing. lol.
It all comes down to the quarterback. If purdy regresess then it's a problem for SAN Francisco moving forward. The defense can't be carrying the team majority of the season if purdy can't deliver. To me their window of winning a super bowl is closing.
But it was not down to Purdy not delivering.... He kept delivering in SB. Deebo could not get open, Christian droping balls, Ayiuk could not get open and in the end defence couldnt get stop on last Chiefs drive. Regarding Purdy with full offseason he can only get better and if team stays healthy they can try to win SB again
Going into the season they should be. They did not lose any key pieces during the off season and the coaching staff is also intact. Most SB hangovers are from over achieving team, losing personal from the appearance to new jobs
Niners got better as well Keyshawn.Dont forget the biggest lost was a player who missed several games but replaced by a similar talent and also got better by getting rid of Chase and picking up Floyd is a major improvement
Niner fan since 86 and Steve young was completely right. The window may be closed for a long time or forever for SF. They had the opportunity and they blew it 🤬
You saying the Seahawks played poorly? They had the most distance traveled out of all the teams in the NFL. They had less rest than any team. And you see what that causes. The niners had the second team with the most distance traveled as well but we played good. What does that tell you? We did our best with what we had, but like the Seahawks it does take a toll. Bengals traveled the least in the NFL and came at us after the by week.
We got better by adding a slot receiver with great hands, and another receiver with great hands. Both are precise route runners with speeeeed. Added three pieces to our OL and two to our DL. One on the DL who by the way was the one who tore A A Ron's achilles. All of our core players are still there. We don't need to add a whole bunch of superstars to our roster, because we're already stacked. We just needed to add a few pieces here and there.
I disagree. People say the 49ers are +550 favorites to win it all next year. I don't think so. The 49ers have a 2% chance to win the Super Bowl this year. I would be shocked if they make it past the NFC Championship Game next year.
Yes. Favorites to choke in the big one again. I do not believe Kyle has the mental makeup to learn what he needs to in order to get over the hump. He has too much faith in himself and his system, while being too stubborn and egotistical to adapt.
Steve right! Twice, the Packers had Detroit steal away a five star defensive monster! Not only Branch, but Arnold as well!! The only way you beat Detroit the last time, was because they weren't ready to play! With that defense straightened out,...they won't have that problem this year, and Green Bay will have the weaker defense,...but not by much!!
I believe in my 9ers in gettin back to the Superbowl this year and winning it, because these guys are hungry af to win it all this season and show everyone, hey last year was some BS and we know what to expect and do to get that W in 2024. LETS GO 9ERS 💪🏻💪🏽💪🏾 and fk all the Haters out there 🖕🏻😁
Hopefully the 49ers get it done and finish the job, every season they get closer to winning it all, this time,it should be all or nothing but i say this,if the 49ers make it back to the superbowl and lose again, kyle definitely should be on the hot seat, they got some good draft picks, alot of starters are returning and if they are 100th percent healthy and play at a high level, eliminate the turnovers and penalties and they still lose, the GM and the organization should have a long talk and meeting with kyle and see why is this team keeps losing everytime they are close to winning ,if he keeps his job half of those guys on the 49ers may not return or just retire like who wants to keep getting to the superbowl and lose everytime.just saying
Why are the niners favorites they've made it 5 times to the NFC championship and 3 times to the Superbowl. You know what we haven't done in won the dam thing
I agree with Steve Young on a few things but not everything . First of all… I do think that SF had a great chance last year. Everything seemed lined up for them to get their 6th franchise SB win. However, I am not going to say that they should have won it or that they can’t win it this year. KC was having a down year…but I never discredit Mahomes in the post season. To be honest… I was more worried about the Ravens in the SB at the start of the playoffs because of how bad they beat SF on Christmas Day. I truly believe their is not a better QB in the NFL when it comes to game winning drives than Mahomes. I think SF had one major disadvantage playing KC. KC hap the second best defense in the entire NFL and they got a lot of sacks. SF had some serious issues on their offensive line. SF did everything they could to give themselves a chance to win. However, they made some costly mistakes that KC was able to take advantage of. Mahomes has been to a few SBs but even he lost his first SB as well. I refuse to believe that SF cannot get it done this year and I do think SF got significantly better this off season. I do believe that SF got better offensively, defensively and on special teams. SF picked up several players who excel on special teams. We got a few sure handed kick returners and our kicker will no longer be a rookie. Every Steelers fan warned me about Ray-Ray’s tendency to muff kick returns in the biggest moments and everyone seemed worried about the inexperience of Moody come the post season. Defensively, SF got way better this off season. Their defensive line got deeper with guys more equipped to stop the run and they added Floyd who is a double digit sack guy. Floyd and Bosa off the edges as well as Hargrave coming up the middle will be hard for any team to handle. I think SF got way better in the secondary…especially if they start Ward and Rock Yi-Sin on the corners with D-Mo at the NB position. This defense is going to be a top five defense easily. That leads me to the offense. It begins with Brock Purdy who has been working hard this off season on getting bigger, stronger and better. He has a full season under his belt and he has experience playing in the biggest moments. Plus, this will be his first full training camp as a starter…which should go a long ways when it comes to fine tuning his skills as well as team chemistry. I think SF will keep Debo, BA and Jennings together for one more season while adding Pearsall and that other rookie WR to give them one of if not the best WR cores in football. They still have CMC, Kittles and Juice who are still among the best at their positions. That leads us to their offensive line. They still have Trent Willams who is the best LT in the NFL and they will have a talented LG in Banks healthy. I do see them moving Falicano to center and starting Pinu at RG. I think Colt Mckinist is working his ass off this off season because he is tired of being told that he is the weakest link of this team. Despite the fact that everyone got better… I still think SF is the best all round team and they will be on a mission this season.
@@ernestfrigelj2876 Dude, stop making excuses! One fumble or one defensive drive didn't dictate that outcome. When the, supposedly, #1 offense can't consistently sustain drives or put up points, how long must the defense stay on the field? Kyle's overrated. Period.
