The problem with Latin America is that most of their governments are socialistic and socialism believes things like immigration are a human right. It's not. Just like driving a car is a privilege so is entering a country who's language, culture and traditions are foreign. It’s not always easy for everyone. My dad came here legally, but it took him two tries. I have other family member that have tried 3 times and still weren’t eligible. Also, my mother came here illegally. (Back when it was easier to actually stay). She ended up getting her green card through her employers, then got residency, got citizenship in 2010. But they shouldn't be allowed access to programs like food stamps, because they entered illegally ahead of millions of law-abiding immigrants waiting politely on line. Duh! Did you watch the video? He was going through the process. When you come over illegally there are often no gaurantees you will get to stay, hence better to come legally.

Ok so the process of becoming legal takes a lot of time. To become legal, one of your children has to become 21. This is so USA knows that someone will be supporting you and that you won't end up homeless or something else and just make America pay for you.
