@@frankgonzalezofficial3010 Why should it be? You only look after your own, damn it, no one anywhere else exists or matters! Have a merry Christmas, quand même!
She is being looked after by her daughter who lives next door. Her daughter is somewhere around 80 years of age. When Vera goes she should have a state funeral..This Lady is a legend.
What an incredible woman! Dame Vera's physical strength and mental acuity at 103 are incredible. So humble given the fame and affection in which she has enjoyed for so long. I met Dame Vera very briefly when she came to my school. Even then I noticed her humble and straightforward attitude. What her songs, voice and soul brought to servicemen and women, and to the population of Britain during the war is something incalcaulable in terms of unifying and lifting people's spirits during such awful times. She deserves every honour. Brava Vera! Thank you! Vale! R.I.P.
Hannahsarah Orkaby must admit that I did not know that. Nevertheless it’s astonishing to see a 90y+ lady do an interview like this. My father is turning 89 this year and is quite fit but this was something else
In 1967 She taught me how to interview for the radio throughout the World. It was in my office in EMI Records at 20 Manchester Sq. W.1. I thank her, for it made me think about how I spoke into a microphone and how to phrase what I was saying. I was a teenager; she was a very beautiful mature Lady and so very kind to a "boy let loose " with a tape recorder. Thankyou Vera.
She made the British soilders smile during a terible traumatic period in the second world war 1939 to 1945. She had a beautiful voice. We will meet again.
No words I can think of can express my respect for this wonderful lady. Dame Vera Lynn is a true example of how one can be so down-to earth, yet inspire a nation.
I’ve just watched this again, I think I missed it before, what a wonderful darling lady. I saw her perform twice. My grandma knew her well and sung me her songs, all the time, and my grandma could sing! and all these years later I’ve sung her songs to my grandchildren who are 20,14, and 4. Funnily enough the 4 year old appreciates them most, he sings them himself. He used to fall asleep to the lullabies that were her songs. Total magic. Just listen to the lyrics and her voice. No one can compare now
So wonderful to see her over a hundred years old having such an amazingly interview clear minded it’s almost unbelievable and still so beautiful! We will remember you forever, how you gave the soldiers new hope for the future with your lovely songs.❤️🌿🕊
What an Angel. she was a beautiful woman with a beautiful soul. She travelled around with a war on, which was very dangerous, singing to our hero's. The whole country loved her, so did I, THANK YOU GOD BLESS.🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
What a wonderful and remarkable lady. After so many years, her music still outshines any of her contemporaries and certainly any modern music. God bless you, Dame Vera Lynn.
It's astonishing how robust and with-it she is. You'd think she was 25. Christ. Like, I don't want to sound patronizing, but one could just sit down with Dame Vera and just get along like anything. She is an absolute gem.
I remember my grandparents singing this to me and telling me stories of their childhood during the war. It brings tears to my eyes thinking about it. They are no longer with me... My God, I will cherish that memory as long as I live. What a generation.
Hi, mysto.....what a nice story....thanks for sharing.....i'm the same, look up "be like a kettle and sing".....(by vera) an old song, with lyrics that are apt today....😊😊😊
What a lovely lady with all due respect. Such a cheerful positive mood. You can appreciate the trace of a happy worthful life. I wish I had a granny like her !
elaine baldwin I just saw she passed away today. How blessed you are to have had her so long. She is lovely and just beautiful! What a joyous woman! 🌹❤️🌹
I love Dame Vera Lynn's music and even find her to be a hero for how far (literally) she would go to entertain the troops, I was very saddened to hear about her passing yesterday. I will now have to find her country music so that I can listen to it.
I was introduced to her from watching the original television sitcom Dad's Army. David Croft, and Jimmy Perry really did a great job in putting in music from the world war two era into the show. May Dame Vera Lynn rest in peace.
what a wise , pleasant , intelligent person . ive always loved her singing but had never heard her speak . blessed earth with some absolutely wonderful angelic songs , RIP MISS LYNN !
Beautiful smile, beautiful singer, beautiful human being. I think that part of the secret of her living so long is her lightheartedness. She is unbelievably youthful. So much for stereotypes about aging! You rock, Dame Vera Lynn, even though rock music isn’t your style!
Very sad to hear Dame Vera Lynn's passing. A legendary singer who still inspired us more than 70 years after she first recorded this classic song. May she rests in peace....
Our Nations greatest treasure, Dame Vera Lynn still has that sparkle in her eyes, that zest for life that even at 103 is a vibrant today as it was when all all began in East London in 1930’s, her recordings are as popular today as they were back in the day, Dame Vera has a huge treasure trove of fantastic recordings that I’m sure will still be played for many years to come, We’ll Meet Again, The White Cliffs of Dover, There’ll Always be an England and of course Land of Hope and Glory are as fresh sounding today as on the day they were recorded. God bless you Dame Vera and thank you for the wonderful music. Monday 18th of May 2020🇬🇧
A voice of a angel, a legend who brought so much to the soldiers during the second world war, I was shocked and deeply saddened that she had passed away at the age of 103. For my first acting performance last year we used the famous song We'll Meet Again to an emotional piece of theatre. Rest in peace Dame Vera lynn . Xx
I'd say my taste in music is no where near similar to today's music. But this women right here, was truly remarkable and made amazing music. God Bless Her Soul, and Rest In Peace
I'm 84 and I heard Dane Vera Lynn during the WW2 War. So I have loved her all my life. I have her plate with her and a train pictured and 5 autographed photos, and her songs on CD's, all for many years. Seeing her here is like almost a Holy Experience. She went where not many entertainers dared to go, near the front, even in Burma, and lived in tents like the soldiers did. She not only brought hope to those who heard her sing, but she was a hero in every since of the word. Queen Elizabeth, also a hero in ways not expected from a young Princess, must be thinking of her today, remembering.rip
Vera Lynn, our national treasure..1952 Auf Wiedersehen Sweetheart, was my favourite song..Happy memories, when loved ones were here. Now at peace with Jesus.Blessings from United Kingdom.
strange when you think during the battle of Breton people wear in flying fortresses battling the Germans and listening to her music on the radio and that she is actually here for more than one hundred years now and still going strong for a while I hope God bless dame Vera Lynn and to think that soldiers with their lovers at nighttime looking at the moon listening to her music and some of them soldiers never came home
I was introduced to Vera Lynn thru Pink Floyd's 'The Wall' and peaked my intrest who they were referring to and I was hooked on her wonderful vocals and deep sense of connection to humanity she conveyed then hearing it in the Movie Dr.Stranglove was an emotional end to the movie finding it very fitting. Thankyou Vera Lynn n God Bless
Vera and the Queens death mark the passage of a very prominent and instrumental generation and really the end of the era that all of us 20th century babies came up in . Very sad
I am completely flabbergasted about the lost of this marvelous woman.. she is what I should say "super surviver" just a super woman....God Bless you Vera.....you are deep in my 💓....see you...🌹
