This past Mondays rain made W. Davis a total mud pit, I arrived Tuesday morning right after it stopped raining and slid my way to Mohawk to get to my property. I drove by Tuesday and Thursday afternoon I didn't see your gates open. I has a full agenda while I was there this week. My perk test was done on Friday and I took off and went to see friends up in Miami and then came on back to Missouri to finalize my move to my property next month.

Awesome to get that rain! Cobbing will be able to keep going for a good while before the big rains hit later on! What a blessing. It looked like Lluvia enjoyed that trail a lot even if your pants didnt lolol. And loved Jess's payback while you were in the cellar. Reminded me of my husband and i lol. Great progress even if a little delayed!

If you’re having leg cramps you’re likely short on electrolytes, especially magnesium and potassium. One good way to get natural electrolytes is Himalayan salt. You can also make your own electrolytes. Let me know if you want a recipe. It’s easy to make and far cheaper than commercial products

@@JosephLorentzen The great thing about making your own is you can tailor the formula. Most commercial products don’t have enough magnesium or potassium. Some people’s body chemistry requires much larger amounts of magnesium.

Good afternoon! I saw that dirt pile you've been working on and a great thought jumped into my mind -- with all the rocks you have there, you could build a rock wall! Or line the inside of the root cellar with rocks, or build a rock border like the Irish do! Oh my, I wish I could come out there and help you build but I'm in my 70's now with too many health problems.😢 Love your videos!💖

If you're having leg cramps , it means you're deficient in magnesium. Anytime you have muscle spasms, it's low magnesium and magnesium is very important for most everything in your body to function right , like your heart , brain and much more . Most people are deficient.

What gives with the secrecy of the amount of water the cistern has in it? Four people have asked about it today on this video not including the other 60 people who have asked for the last seven videos. When you do check the water, can you video the Rockwall around the cistern and show us if it has caved in anymore?

Hi Jess and Jim, building and weather, just part of life the world over. I can’t regal how many times my builds were interrupted. My home was a conventional timber home, not flash but quite cosy. I enjoy your updates and it’s good to know you both are OK. On the cramps, if you sweat a lot you need electrolyte replacement, without the sweetners/ sugar. Look at the electrolyte composition as you need a few different elements. I note others commenting on magnesium and potassium, have a look on google at zinc as well. On the magnesium look at a chelated magnesium as it is easier for your body to process. Take care with potassium, follow the RDI for safety. You are getting there with the build, 1 step at a time. Would it help your motivation to have a small gathering of interested people to come over and have working bees. I did that with neighbours when I built. We set up a community of helping thy neighbours. We had BBQs and salads, people brought their tools etc to help. We built houses, weekend at a time. The working bees were productive and developed a positive supportive community. I moved away years ago but have fond memories. That area in Victoria was devastated by bushfires a few years ago and never rebuilt, the government prevented that. Such is life. Stay safe and healthy guys.

So the rafters you are placing now, are on top of boards that are nailed/screwed to the sides of your beams in the ground. So virtually all that weight of the rafters and roofing materials depend on a couple of nails/screws into the side of the boards at the top of your beams? Before you get too far, you might want to rethink this Jim.
