I heard a breeder say when the Emu's lay on the eggs, they kinda go into a trance like State for the time they lay on the eggs, after watching the updates with Nugget I think that's true. Otherwise he would never pass up on love from his Mom and Dad. I am praying he is able to hatch at LEAST one or two. Isn't it amazing how God places preservation instincts in animals? Thank you for sharing and keeping us updated. Praying for the crown pigeons as well. Be Blessed and Safe all, in Jesus Name
Watching the beekeeper take care of the swarm was so awesome. Personally, I'm afraid of bees. But I have learned so much about honey bees by watching the farms that have them that i now am a protector of honey bees.
Nothing to be afraid of with honey bee's. 😊 They're on a mission, if you don't bother them (hurt) they won't bother you. Glad you're coming around! I get it though, I have a swarm of wasps every year. Them are scary!!
When I was a small child ( from the city lol). We went to the country in February and found a hive! We snuck it back to the city, to show all our friends. Then the next morning I woke up ( age 8) to a thunderous sound , and as soon as I moved to get out of bed, the stinging began. What I took home was a hive of black wasps 😮 Moral of the story, respect nature! I love bees but I’m afraid of them because of my childhood stupidity. I love watching beekeepers and learning about them just the same❤
Some of you guys in the comments need to just chill and stop fussing at this wonderful family because they did not do this or they did not do that, or they did not pet Jessie or the cats or the dogs, etc..... Some of you all do it in every single video they post and enough is a enough! This was at least an 8 hour day recorded down to 30 minutes. You do not see every second of their day, so how do you all know what the do and do not do, or who they love on. I bet they love on every single animal every day. Some of you keep on fussing about them, you going to run them off and they are going to stop making videos. There is not 1 channel out there that takes better care and loves their animals and farm than them, Not One, so would some of you please just enjoy this wonderful family and stop nitpicking them to death. Sorry for the rant, but I could no longer bite my tongue. ❤
Thank you for your kind words, & it is completely OK. We know some people are passionate as we are about the animals, and some have favorites, so we understand. We do love on all our animals every day, and sometimes it does not make it in the videos, but that is OK, we will try and make it up in another video :))) Hope y'all have the best weekend ever Jason
My mom always told us that if we had nothing nice to say keep your mouth shut. Frankly wise advice for making posts for those taking the time to enlighten and entertain us!
Jason I used to help on the farm with tarps, if it gets windy just fold the end open end towsrds the wind over then it can't fill with wind. My grandpa didn't have a high school diploma but he was the most naturally intelligent, know how to do things kinda person I ever met. He taught me that one day when a cousin and I were struggling with a tarp. I always tell my mom that if I ever had to pick one person, dead or alive to help me survive anywhere on the planet with nothing to start with I'd choose her father, my Grandpa. Loved that man..
My father in law was like that. Least amount of education of anyone in the family but the smartest man ever. He was a talented auto mechanic and could tell you what the problem was just by listening to your car on the phone or by your explanation. Her doted on his 12 children and numerous grand children. We often said if we were on survivor island we would want him as our partner. I put him down as one of the greatest men I've ever known. I wish there were more like him with his kind living spirit and giving, unselfish actions.
The bee stopover for Skittles at the fence post rest stop was amazing. Thank goodness Mary Carl noticed them in time. It's good to know that sweet Honey is doing better. Take care you all.
I used to go with my Grandfather to get swarms of bees. He had tons of hives. I have never been afraid to put my hand in a swarm. I am 70 now, this has brought back so many memories. ❤
It warms the heart to see all the animals grazing the green pasture land with the backdrop of the lovely deciduous trees in full leaf. You must feel the reward of all your hard work. The thing with the Cog Hill 40 is that we have seen the transformation from neglected land to the debut of a loved and thriving homestead. Thank you for sharing your journey thus far! It feels good.💕🇨🇦
I am happy to hear that Honey is doing better. And Nugget is still working on producing a family. The swarm is amazing! So grateful you were able to capture the swarm and your beekeeper was able to get them in a hive! 💖💖💖
You and Brooke are such a dynamic duo. 🤗 That was fascinating seeing the bee 🐝 swarm and capture. This wholesome channel is the best. Oh . . . and I am so happy to hear precious Honey is healing well. Blessings. 🙏🏽💓💐
Wow, it’s so cool how there weee hundreds of bees flying in the air and in a mater of a couple minutes they found their new home. Bees are so fascinating!
Bees are amazing and how gentle they are. It is hard to believe that they can be handled with bare hands. Nugget is still doing his job, he is a real trooper, Your garden is coming along nicely.
Jason when you did the video about the rambling roses I thought you found a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow!! That, to me was the sweetest video i have ever seen. I lost my mom and her name was Rose. I cried and then smiled because I saw your happiness in the roses. If you look you can find beauty where you least expect it. I find beauty in your family.
That was very interesting watching the bee keeper collecting the bee's and putting them in their new home. Loved how Jason was telling us about the queen bee stopping on the post to rest and getting her skittles, ha ha. Just love it. Thank you for a lovely video Jason and Brooke.
Thank you Jason & Brooke...you make my days bright..I am 80 years old & loved gardening..so nice to watch this.I am in an apt now. I always wanted a hobby farm...so enjoy your farm so very much.Praying for your lovely wife .
Honey has such long hair! Mildred was grooming you while you were grooming Honey lol. That was totally fascinating to watch them swarm & see him put his hands into that swarm. Now they have a new home!
Every time Honey gets brushed, Jesse and Mildred want to be brushed. Whenever I see Jesse, I think of the Shrek movie and Eddie Murphy. The bee swarm was amazing. So glad it was caught on tape.
This is one of my all time favourite Cog Hill videos. Loved seeing the swarm, and it was so intriguing, and the bee man was so informative. So glad I got to watch it. Very Happy that Honey is feeling better and is on the mend.🐝🐝🐝
I have watched a lot of nature shows about bees and I find it absolutely fascinating how they communicate with each other. Watching them transfer to that hive I was so interesting to watch! They are such fascinating little creatures!
So many things going on! My favorite was the bee man catching those bees. I think it's amazing how bees work. Poor Nugget. He is steadfast to hatch those eggs. Really cool. I am most of all happy Honey is doing better. I am glad you caught it early. She is so sweet. 😂❤❤❤
WOW! I have never seen a swarm being put into a hive like that. So interesting. When he stuck his finger into all the bees and it left a hole, that was amazing. So glad he got them in time. The work for the garden you and Brooke did was awesome! Also, when you were brushing Honey, Jessie came right up next to you like, I'm next! Beautiful day.
Bees are just the most amazing & fascinating tiny creatures. They are so efficient & methodical in their day to day lives & then suddenly they swarm... so interesting to watch.
Jason, I wanted to take a moment to thank you for an entertaining and educational video. I had a long day today and I forgot to take my meds before I left the house so I’ve been a little edgy. After watching your video with the bees and planting the garden, I could feel my anxiety melting away. Thank you.
❤❤❤ I really enjoyed seeing how the bees were swarming and how he collected them into the new hive! So interesting! The farm looks beautiful, and y'all work so hard to keep it that way! ❤❤❤😊😊😊
I'm not sure how difficult it would be to do a time-lapse of the property once the projects are done. Start of when you guys got there to now; or when you get the French garden is done. I think, will I would love to see that from the sky😊❤
That segment on the bees that interrupted our regularly scheduled program was fantastic!! It is just amazing to watch that. God's creations are just so spectacular! And Mr. Roy is so calm and knowledgeable. Just amazing!🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝
Morning Jason Honey looks better in herself today. Her head is up more im glad her legs are getting better jason. Nugget probably turned the eggs. I love your climbing rose jason❤
I’m so happy to see Honey looking better. Her head isn’t hanging down like it was at first. She looked a little sickly to me. Another good job! You really take care of your family!
Jason and Brooke, I really enjoyed today's Episode of Chucky Monkey 🤣 I learned so much from the BeeKeeper and the Swarm. Didn't realize they are docile when they Swarm 🤔 So happy that Honey is feeling so much better and healing. Funny how we talk about bees swarming and Honey the donkey. She really enjoys the brushing. Mildred also was interested in a brushing along with Jesse 🥰 Appreciate the update on Nugget and your beautiful climbing pinky rose. It was so good to see the old tractor startup and of course just when you hook up the tool it clunks out. I sure hope you get the carborator or whatever it is resolved. It's a beautiful tractor. I'm glad MaryCarl was paying attention to her surroundings and notified you of the bees swarming. Great job, MaryCarl 🐝🐝👍🏻👍🏻
