Welcome to Chippokes State Park. This campground is located on the the James River just SouthWest of the Historic Triangle: Williamsburg, Jamestown & Yorktown
This a true hidden Virginia Gem! Virginia State campgrounds are some of the best I have seen anywhere, but Chippokes is up near the top... And it is out of the way enough to be quiet and private! We highly recommend this State Park!
The Chippokes Mansion is a nice tour, as well as the Farming Museum full of (as used in the 1800's) equipment, tools, and lifestyle displays. All within a nice bike ride away from one of the most private, cleanest campgrounds we have been to yet in Virginia. You also have a wonderful beach access to the James River.
