Unicorn Overlord Just Might Become My New Favorite Tactical RPG

I just started a play through of this game and it is incredible. Really a great addition to the SRPG genre. Bringing in all the things we love, while also having plenty of new features!

It's weird but just playing the demo made it already being my favourite tactical RPG. I finally finished all missions in the same savefile starting by the higher level areas it felt amazing. I can't wait to play the full game. Amazingly thought out from start to finish. There's nothing to throw away.

There are games that I have played more than Unicorn Overlord but I probably set a personal record for how fast I was able to log 90 hours into this game. Seriously brilliant game and one of the best games I've played in quite some time.

I saw an ad for this and thought it was some kind of browser game. Glad I looked again. I was really impressed with the sprite design. Unfortunately, the chances of it coming to Steam (or PC in general) any time soon seem remote. And I don't console game anymore.

If this game continues to do well in reception, I may get it for my Switch by the end of the year.

The time limit is there to encourage you to not just clump all your units together and have unlimited time to heal at bases. The best maps will be the ones with multiple objectives because of the timer encouraging you to split the team in order to tackle multiple objectives

may I ask you whats the original video material for the online mode gameplay you showed?

the only problem I have with the game might be the stamina system, I hardly ran out of time ever but the stamina system encourages you to play the good old dps meta, you want to destroy every unit in one battle because you have only so much stamina to fight with also you get way more exp by killing than just fighting, so defensive stall squads are only viable when you have to defend a base against countless enemies, but in the demo at least they throw not many of these missions at you, there are 2 where you have to defend quite heavy but also still need to attack something, I actually want the game to have more "hold this garison" type of missions, that would be a call thing to have defensive setups shine more
