Hi there, here's a video detailing what's in the box and exactly why I decided to buy this particular scanner in preference over my Yupiteru MVT7100. Thanks for watching. Keep safe. 73
A cracking little scanner, I bought one on impulse when up in Blackpool from Stewart's Radio whilst on a trip away, 0 regrets, The close call function is very handy for catching a bit of PMR chatter when out and about, The only complaint for me would be the batteries, Very handy to be able to swap out on the go, i would have quite liked a sealed Li-ion unit like allot of the modern handhelds, but thats a personal quip i guess!, i have added the SDS100E to my Wishlist since owning this little thing for the sake of catching the DMR stuff, But, Unlike the 125XLT, a little complicated...Hope you enjoy it as much as i do, worth every penny! 73s
I've had this for a year or so. I have a larger whip antenna from Moonraker, amazing difference. I purchased the Moonraker 4 in 1 scanner antenna with mag mount when out in the car. Amazing what can be picked up. Enjoy.
I have the Icom ic-r20...I've always found it completely unintuitive to use..pain in the @rse to program ..the uniden and realistic scanners are the easiest to use by far...you made the right decision..airband is a joy.. Have it running in the background it's like having a friend in the room.
Hi have two off them I use for airband and all so have a ft 7900 that is used for airband frequencies, I ham just up in Daventry Northants and we have quite a lot off planes and milatry over each day
Bought one of these around 5 years ago, great little scanner, its small in size yet manages to have a wide screen to show all the info. Easy to programme using either the software via the provided USB cable or directly using the multi-function buttons. The rubber duck antenna isn't good so I got a Nagoya NA-771 which is way better and just this week I received from Moonraker the Skyscan Desktop for indoors use but already I can see it's the biz. Good luck with your new purchase, Cliff and the best of 73 for 2023
I had a bearcat 220 bought for 12 £ .. Being on the coast it was amazing . Now that's gone I have gone for a Baofeng uv 5 . Will I be disappointed?? Cheers
The Yupi is supposed to be a great scanner. But of course you can't go wrong with that Uniden. I have a couple of Uniden scanners but not a handheld. I'm looking at a few handheld scanners. It will be Interesting to see your review on that new scanner. Have a great week Clint. 73.
Hello! New amateur here, I will soon start study for my license. Meanwhile I got this scanner and I am quite happy about it. Question, among the services search there is some HAM. But, is there actually anything to listen there, lacking SSB?
Thanks for the video - after a while looking at these I finally got one used on eBay for sub £90 + postage which is a great bargain. Waiting for an antenna upgrade but in the meantime have picked up various air traffic even indoors with the rubber duck. Best contact in my first week has been the ISS repeater - again with just the rubber duck but outdoors this time.
I take it there no computer interface. That’s why I like my SDR’s because I can save each memory with a name and station. I have a old Realistic 2032 scanner and gets TIA real well, but most everything else around here has went digital transmission. 73!
@@OxfordShortwaveLogThat is great if I can use the available program for those things. I find allot of radio control programs to navigating a tax form….:)
@Oxford Shortwave Log ok thanks sorry but would I be be able to receive ham and others eg air and marine on those, but what about with the attached antenna. Sorry for questions but new to this .thanks again
