I wouldnt have eaten that food either after someone, who is in contact with that food, just openly refused to serve me. Id be thinking there is spit in it. "Considering firing" that employee should have been fired on the spot, the manager to if they knew what was going on.
Ask a cop a question, the cop can refuse to answer you, there is "NOTHING" you can do to get the cop to answer you. If a cop questions a person and the person doesn't cooperate, the cop beats the shit out of that person and takes the person to jail. So YES a person haves "EVER RIGHT" to refuse service to a cop. Thumbs up to that employee.
"If" I was a police officer unless I knew the waiters/waitresses and the cooks personally I would simply take my own lunch or go in to a place that served hot food that I could physically see and touch. Having said that, I believe that ANY establishment should have the right to refuse to serve anyone that do not want to serve.

It's the business owner's right to make that decision, NOT the employee's right. How is it that you don't have enough brains to know the difference?? Police should have the right to decide who they serve.
@rustydog0329 Why in the hell would you want to eat somewhere where you know you are not welcome? That would be the last place I would want to eat, whether I was black, yellow, purple, or green. Some people's stupidity just defies all logic. (I'm not necessarily talking about you personally when I say that.)
If I ever witness anything like this, I'm going to walk up to that employee and take their picture. Then I'm going to share it around the planet. Fair is fair...................
Your right fair is fair so that means police should be surrounded beaten with clubs, maced in the face, have their bodies stamped on and pinned to the ground with a knee in their necks. Then run them to s place a throw them into a cage. As you said…Fair is fair
They MAY fire that employee⁉️⁉️Why hasn’t the employee already been fired is what I wanna know❗️ As soon as that manager heard about the incident they should have terminated the employee. The fact that the manager has not terminated the employee at this time, the OWNER should terminate the manager and the employee‼️ I would caution law-enforcement to boycott that establishment since they will never have the confidence that the food they receive will be safe (❓)to eat.
The employee was placed on desk duty while Arby's conducted a thorough investigation into the matter which later found that the employee did not violate the officer's civil rights; although Arby's now plans to revamp their training policies... Now the PBA should be satisfied, correct?
It has nothing to do with 'civil rights'. it has everything to do with selfish individuals using their employer to advance their personal political beliefs and discrimination. Lefties aren't against discrimination in the slightest-they are just against it if it doesn't advance their cause. In addition, this selfish employee has hurt the company brand and probably cost (at least) that franchise money, all because of their personal bigotry. Automatic and instantaneous termination is what a sane owner would do.
@Gary Williams If the employee and the restaurant were to apologize, such as what happened here then, yes, I'd forgive. What I wouldn't do, like whiny bitch Jennifer Martin did here, is to go running to my employer and my union boss and whine to them about it demanding they then go to the Press to make a big stink of it to get the employee fired. Cops are hateful and vindictive as clearly Jennifer Martin is. Cops are also crybabies. As we all know cops are special so they demand to be treated as royalty. Bunch of thin-skinned egomaniacs. Who else but a cop would demand the Press make up a crybaby story when they're refused service in a restaurant?
those people protesting outside of Arby's, did you check their IDs? make sure they don't have any warrants? I'm pretty sure they were on private property.
justin valdez , also check there immigration status they need to have there passport or birth certificate for each and every person there so how the feel then
but does the employee have the right to refuse? I think its up to the owner of that restaurant to have the right to refuse not some employee at the drive thru
I commend Arby's for firing the clerk and manager for denying service to the officers. For what if the restaurant has a problem with patrons, they're not going to call ghost busters!
I don't call the cops. I have mental health issues and cops like to beat the shit out of me when the only person I would hurt is myself. My wife won't call anymore either. Cops don't de-escalate anymore.
Armando Sanchez the difference is that Arby's is privately owned & the police are paid with tax dollars. They have a right to refuse service to anyone, even police if they choose. The cops are obligated to keep the peace, they are public servants. I'm glad the female piece of human trash got what she deserved! They should've threw it in her face. Goddamn cops! I'm not sure what's worse, cops or females, female cops (human garbage) are the lowest of life forms.
miner Swetland shut the hell up! They have every right to refuse service to anyone they choose! If I owned s business there damn sure wouldn't be any police allowed!
Arby's is a private business police are public servants. If they don't want to do the job that public tax dollars pay them to do then they can get a job elsewhere.
Not a good argument really. Cops never get there in time to stop burgleries. And who works a job where they dont have to do their job if butt hurt? Do we want people in those positions who pick and choose who to serve? That post has no merit or honor and I question your rational as lacking sanity and basic reasoning. The employee was more than likely let go, as any cop who doesn't perform their job should as well. Dumb dumb talking point.
hey conservatives republicans dont like blue lisis gang members either,,,,,it's just you bootlickers who are usually wealthy and dont have to deal with these gangsters,,,,,,,,,,,,while the rest of us do.....
@@3rd-eye-neenja563 That is the most idiotic response ever... In millions of years. The ones who suffer the most with lack of policing are those in poorer neighbourhoods, who can't afford to defend themselves, and live in higher crime rate areas... *Only you demonrats don't see that*
@@3rd-eye-neenja563. Why is that all of you who hate us ( The Police ) are always the first ones hollering to 911 for the Police? As the old saying goes, they hate us until they need us.
Maybe the Health Department should really inspect that location. I know if I were the Inspector, I would be going through that location with a fine-tooth comb and a thick pad of paper to write the infractions on! Sorry Arby's, I'm from Michigan and you just lost a customer!
"Arby's says it may fire the clerk and the manager involved in this incident..." The manager should have fired the clerk on the spot. If Arby's doesn't know what to do here, then they don't really care.
If the clerk doesn't respect the police and the American way of life, then they should be locked up for a while, until they see sense. Too many people have big chips on their shoulders and need to be taught a lesson. They should get over themselves!!
That's great.. now the police should just refuse service to them, when they get fucking robbed! That store manager and employee should have been fired immediately!!
I think the clerk should have their information out for future employers. I sure as hell wouldn't want that piece of shit working for me. If I had an employee embarrass my company like that I'd fire their ass on the spot. Now don't get me wrong, if the officer had walked in there and caused some kind of drunken scene or something to give cause to the employee to refuse service then all be it. But if that employee refused service simply because it was an officer than that's the kind of vile filth I want gone.
What a horrible punishment the clerk got fired from Arby's. If you work at Arby's I don't think you care about your job or your dignity or your life in general I mean it's not like he's getting fired from Subway
For anyone against police - cancel the police service. Send them "thoughts and prays " instead of cruiser next time they call 911 For anyone against Trump or government - stop all the welfare and subsidy cheques For anyone against oil and gas industry - cancel their heating and electricity contracts. As well as deny purchase of anything with plastic, metals, rare metals.
This is an easy one to call. This is America. you have the right to REFUSE service to anyone. maybe this person received and undeserved ticket from some police officer out there. Its hard to say, but NO, I wouldn't fire the employee, This is America, you have the right to REFUSE service to anyone. police officers are NOT excluded. Like someone here said, respect is earned, NOT given. Police officers, treat the public right, or you will be hated by the public. Remember police officers, your actions do have consequences.
How many people did this officer harass and denied help? now he cries when it happens to him over an Arby when he violates people's rights and take away their freedom. Look up his name!
Now when a robber comes to Arby's and they call police for help, they will be told "sorry we do not protect Arby's"

I think cops should run stings on restaurants that refuse service to LEOs. Drive through, make sure they know you're a cop, take you food to the police lab and see if it has been contaminated then file felony charges against everyone in the restaurant that handled the food and have the restaurant shut down by the health inspectors. Maybe restaurant owners and managers would think twice about hiring cop-hating thugs.
she wasn't conformable eating cause the cook spit on her food.maybe that cop gave the manager a hard time or violated civil rights...u don't need police when a crime is going down.u have a gun and protect ur place and urself.cops come after the crime has been commited.and besides there is a law that states that a cop has no obligation of protecting any 1
Being a cop a criminal the most innocent man in the world or the most diabolical everybody deserves the right to eat food and know that it’s safe to eat. I’m blm yes but this is sickening and wrong used to look up to Arby’s
Any business owner has the right to refuse service to anyone. Except where the reasons are based on gender, race, religion, sexual preference, etc. BUT it is just plain stupid to refuse service to police. If I was a restaurant owner I'd give every cop that came through my door a free reasonably priced meal. Police have a job where the rewards are minimal for putting their life on the line every day. I'd like to thank every single one for their service.
That employee should be fired. People here are being hypocrites, yes any business has the right to refuse service, but the people should know about it and let the public decide if they want to go to that place anymore, and it that company or employee receives backlash then good, because you should not be allowed to discriminate without repercussions like your business going to shit
The employee from Arbys in Florida probably has something personal against law enforcement officer or this particular officer because why would you refuse to give service to police officers especially when they are paying for it.
Why? it's not like Arby's as a company did this. It was one employee with a lack of discipline. Your stance makes zero sense in this case. What lesson are you teaching them?
This America. You can kneel for the anthem and burn the flag and are not required to serve a uniformed police officer, presumably the same "right" applies to the military. It is not America for the police or military.
Let me guess. The "clerk" is a protected class according to the Civil Rights Act of 1964. One step at a time, the preferred classes are setting themselves up as our ruling class--the New American Royalty. This is how our ancestors became slaves to the Egyptians.
I don't think the manager should be fired. She should suspend the employee immediately. That is one thing I fault the manager. For the employee, losing their job is just a slap on the wrist. Maybe public shame will be appropriate. Blue Lives Matter
OK. So I was in Temple, TX when my wife said she was hungry, and that she wanted Jack In The Box. So I located the Jack in the Box on HK Dodgen Loop, near I-35 and we went inside. I was waiting in line behind one person. After they took HIS order I stepped up to the counter. A nice young man started to take my order when the black female manager walked over saying, "Uh uhh! Uh uhh!", and kicked the kid off the register. So the young man (a young black man, BTW) moved to the other register, and again started to take my order when the manager once again kicked him off THAT register, as well. The young man had a look of utter shock on his face as the manager pulled the cash drawers while she was saying something about the cash. See, I was wearing my NYPD hat which had been purchased by a friend at Ground Zero in NYC on the 10th Anniversary of 9/11. She didn't want to serve me because I was a white man wearing a police hat. I'm not even a cop. I'm just a guy who was trying to feed my hungry Filipino wife. So I found another Jack in the Box a few miles away and fortunately, when I said something to THEM, the District Manager happened to be there. I wouldn't recommend that any white people go to that Jack in the Box on HK Dodgen Loop in Temple, TX.
@@3rd-eye-neenja563 - Jootube won't let me tell you what I really think. So I'm just going to say that bruce is no patriot, he won't even stand up for his own kind.
you're in service to serve the public your business to make money you refuse service close your doors if you don't like the way the cops are acting then read your Constitution petition your government for change American people speak up and speak loud but don't be rude about it Know Your Law stop falling the gang mentality
J B ok I’m not going to serve a black man because I don’t agree with the tee shirt he’s wearing. So that’s fair. Get the f out of your parents basement and get a job in the real world.
Richard Wigginton I didn’t say I was thrilled about it… But a restaurant purveyor has the right to refuse service for any reason other than religion, race, gender. This is America and we believe in our rights here… Douche canoe
These racist servers I believe are lone wolfs and do not represent the chain I believe however that these food chains before they hire should a address these issues with their potential employees
The restuarant is entitled to refuse an officer in uniform, and yet I'm required to bake a wedding cake for a gay couple? Personally, I'd bake the cake because gay cash is as good as straight cash; it's the required part that upsets me. If I can refuse one, why not the other? Can I legally refuse a woman in a burqua? A black kid wearing low pants and a hoodie? A white kid with a swastika?
yep, gender, homosexuals, race, etc. are protected categories so you can't discriminate against them. But your job is not a protected category therefore you can refuse service to a specific industry if you want
