What a beautiful episode-your poetic thoughts, the images of Morocco, and how you translate it into your paintings. Yes, that haze, I recognise it from my days spent in India. I will never forget my first morning ever in India waking to a coral red fireball called the sun, the hazy sky and landscape, and sounds of religious chants of all kinds ringing through the air-your video took me back in time, thank you. I love all your educational videos as well as your process videos, the one you feel most inspired to make will be the one we will probably all enjoy. Much success for the final sprint before the exhibition. Thanks again so much for sharing your artist's journey with us.

7:10!!! Priceless. I Iove it when you take us to your vacations. It adds that spice, especially this episode. Moroccans are indeed very affable and charming. the paintings are coming on stunning. The ocean scape (forgot its title) got better!!! talk of Midas touch. I'm also learning about how you design. It would be interesting to learn about the auction side of the art business and looking forward to next week. Keep going, we're rooting for you.

Jessie, I love the Morocan palette - it lifts my soul! For future videos: everything you mentioned, especially using mediums. I've been oil painting for a while, but I've only used walnut oil as a medium. I've tried others, but they are sticky or smelly or too glossy... In the process of a painting, when does one begin using the medium and should it be carried through to the final layer? Do you mix it in your palette colors before you begin your painting session, or do you brush dip and mix as you paint? Thank you!

Thanks for your comment Colleen! I use poppy and walnut oil mainly but in the early stages of painting a "leaner" mix of linseed oil and turps which i find works really well for getting down those initial layers. Then building up over time to only walnut (both on the pallete and on the canvas) as this adheres to the "Fat over lean" method. As you say sticky and glossy mediums are a nightmare to rework. Sometimes a damar varnish glaze can also work wonders for the final stage. I have done an episode on this titled Glazes and mediums which you might find more helpful.
