I agree ... Ive had mine for even longer and it just such a nice phone. If only blackberry had made one just like this - perhaps with a slightly better keyboard and their security hardened android then it would have been perfect
been using it for a while now with nova launcher, but i run into some issue where the dialer screen disappeared while being called and the screen being off. Any help appreciated!
I just bought one, and wish I knew this existed last year. I used to collect and review Nokia phones and the qwerty phones were my absolute favorite to use and to game on.
The Nokia n900 with the capibility of chrooting into a full debian install was pretty good back in 2009/2010. Only 256mb of ram but 32gb+32gb storage. Shame they got bought out by Microsoft.
Just ordered one today (March 2022) from Amazon Germany to replace my BlackBerry Priv (used to have BlackBerry Passport before). I was between this and the Key2, but since BlackBerry stopped support (and OnwardMobility shut down, so there wont be a new BlackBerry at least for the next few years to follow), I preferred to choose this phone from a fairly new developing company that will only get better on the way (and at the half price). So looking forward to this, which by the way operates with Android 10 now. UPDATE (after one month use): it's probably the worse phone that I ever had and cant wait to get rid of it. Sadly, since there is no new BlackBerry coming out, I'll have to surrender to touchscreens and virtual keyboards, so Unihertz Titan goes to eBay soon and I'm going to buy a Vivo or Samsung, haven't decided yet.
My Blackberry Keyone is starting to act up already. Am now looking into this phone as I used to own a blackberry passport. How is they keyboard of this phone?
Been using this for awhile now. I love it. There are some quirks here and there but overall its the best available option. My favorite full qwerty keyboard phone of all time has to be this one now. I always loved my blackberry passport but the keyboard on that not having the alot keys for symbols was horrible and I love my blackberry keyone keyboard but the hardware was basic crap. This joins the two together. Only thing that would make this phone better is by letting us flash alternative android Roms or even better something like sailfish OS, ubports or Debian with phosh.
Does it allow swiping like blackberry? I was thinking about buying key2, but now when I see this beast of a phone, at half the price, I really like it.
I loved my BB passport but it was stolen from me ! Best phone ever ! The Titan phone is amazing and I want one so badly its insane lol! and so close to my passport! I love all the features of this phone and I don't care if it is bulky or whatever etc... It fits my lifestyle ! I just hope I can find a carrier in lower mainland BC because this company at least was right on about niches as BB was . Does any one know the phone provider where I live from experience before I purchase one? I would so greatly appreciate this information ! I actually live In Delta BC Canada! Thanks!
I absolutely get this device if that front forehead doesn’t present like that. It looks I’m not sure. It takes away everything. If they change that? I’m for sure buying. Great review
My concern is the security aspect The BlackBerry had one if the best. What does this phone have to offer? Waiting on a definitive word on the nee BlackBerry. This could be an alternative if the BlackBerry doesn't come to fruition soon.
I'm super into it. I mostly use my phone for actual things (hell I wrote one of my term papersi n Uni on my friggin blackberry). I can not register right on touch screens.. so this is tempting indeed. maybe a bit big but realisticall... phones are stupidi big regardless. The only game i play though is Pokemon Go. and if it worked. Roll20 would be amazing. Wonder if it can handle pokgo
How do I keep my Titan from the screen going black when I'm on a phone call? I can't manipulate any keys while using the phone unless I'm slaved to a Bluetooth like my vehicle.
I had this same problem. It's because dust accumulates on the proximity sensor and it thinks it is up to your ear and shuts off the screen. There is a number code you dial and then you can calibrate it to not be so sensitive, that fixed mine.
This is quite a nice throwback to the 2000s, but...... would I rather have this, or a Pixel 4a, or a X2 Pro? It’s just the thick bezels and all and I just don’t see the point really in having a QWERTY Keyboard and a weird aspect ratio, but it’s definitely an AMAZINGLY nostalgic phone and I can definitely see why people like it (maybe I’ve just never really experienced that type of phone to daily drive, but I imagine it’s awesome to get a throwback to before the iPhone’s release!)
The main point of having a QWERTY keyboard is that you can safely type on it while walking or driving because you don't have to look down at the screen

Who cares, everyone is spying on me, i willingly posted pics and thougts on social networks, they already know everything about me. 😂 And here where i live i can't find phone with good chipset, decent punch-hole-free screen, 3.5mm connector and decent battery and camera. If i could find it for normal price i would. I'm waiting for redmi note 10 hoping it will have dimensity chip, not some shitty snapdragons.
@@woke1497 but they still have to hold your entire phone to replace those buttons and if you drop your phone on concrete the chances of those buttons falling out start to increase
