Thank you, Red, for capturing these trains as they passed through Montour, Iowa on 14 September 2024. That westbound manifest had numerous interesting freight cars and some interesting loads. The drone footage was great especially the drone footage of the Union Pacific (former Chicago & North Western Railroad) Boone, Iowa railyard. It is good to see that the turntable in the Boone raul yard is still in use. (Posted 21 September 2024 at 1954 CDT.)

Thanks for the video Red. Maybe sometime you could catch the switch point move also. I see they have heaters at the points too. I remember the MOW welders were always welding up switch points on the I.C. (I don't think there were many movable points back then). There were some spring frogs here and there but I don't think on mainline service.

Perhaps in a future video you could show the west side as the rails work their way through Boone. Like seeing both ends of the yard and what the route through the community is and any potential local industries being served (always looking for ideas for a future HO layout) - thanks!

I caught 4 trains in montour this past Tuesday 11am-1pm cause they had to crossover at yours MOW was using Track 1 in Belle Plaine
