The Challenger was sold to be rebuilt. It is currently on the east coast of the U.S. The only other UP remaining steam is the, “Living Legend” the 844, which is not on tour this summer. By the way, the 844 has never been decommissioned, and is the oldest engine still active in the U.S.
I was out there, early in the morning, but it was impressive, My only complaint is I wish you got some shots of what else was going on there, they had Western pacific 165 pulling the Caboose train (amazing little locomotive and the only WP steam running) among some amazing model railroads.
I wished I could go back 80-100 years ago so that I can build a 4-10-10-4 Locomotive And a 4-12-12-4 Steam Locomotive. And I would also Build a 4-24-24-24-24-24-4 Steam Locomotive I would have built the 4-12-12-4 Steam Locomotive. I wished Russia still had the AA-20 Locomotives So that I can export them to the US and Canada so that I Can Convert it to standard gauge And Convert them from The Soviet SA-3 Couplers With the North American Knuckle Couplers. And make Soviet Locomotives And Chinese locomotives run on American Soil.
