Some of these are rare but I think all the actual unique's have 1 thing in common, can not be modified. Commando, PSG-1, AK-74, AA12...all of those I have seen multiples of in one game.
There are some shotguns too.. One you get from the prison, from the local boss called jackhammer and the other one is from a town quest where the coffee gank is (with the old ladies).. You can do the quest from the npc in the bar who sends you to get the red fake hair 😊
If you have Igor during your convo with Chimurenga, he calls him Cheburashka, who is an adorable character in Russian children's literature. Cheburashka's buddy is Gena, who is a crocodile. When Ivan participates in battles where hyenas are killed, he comments (in Russian) "there is no need to kill Gena and Cheburashka." 😀
El Confidante is a unique rifle you get at the beginning of the game if you don't tell the town of Ernie about Herman, and they hang Pierre's father instead. K9 has a guy named Headshot Hue, which will get you Ma Baxter's Argument Invalidator, which is a unique auto shotgun. You need a wig for the quest, which you get from the junk dealer in L8.
You can also loot the wig from an NPC in the farms northwest from flea town, she's not an enemy and I only killed her because of a stray shot that agroed her xD. Also on the dump, if you help henri, you can loot a wig from the former owner
You forgot the very first one, if you choose not to reveal the truth to Basil in Ernie and thus Luc gets hanged, talk to Herman afterwards and you get a unique shotgun. There is another unique shotgun in Port Cacao from a sidequest. A few "disc one nukes" i found: In that place where is you meet Bastien's goons at the very first time, that bag he leave behind have random loot. It is possible to get some heavy armor for it. Save the game before entering the sector the first time. Sure Bastien always drop his AK if threatened but that bag is another thing. The Haunted Mansion north of that pastor's place is another one. Save before entering this sector as well. There are 3 dead bodies in the exterior that have been rigged with explosive trap but can be looted for items. In addition there is a container in the hidden underground sector you visit for the quest with the same properties. The items in them are random, and can be as bad as a Peacemaker or another AK to something crazy like FN FAL, Galil, Anaconda, RPK. Lastly that guy in the Flea Market with Loot Boxes for each small diamond. It matters not because you can savescum before you roll unless you play on ironman. It is possible to get late game weapons from him like Steyr AUG, HK21, AK-SU, M1014. Just savescum until you get what you want.
Unfortunately it looks like there are a limited number of in game loot boxes. I intercepted two diamond shipments almost back to back. (Both were routed through a mine sector I had just taken and militia so I routed my main squad from the neighboring sector I was training militia in to back up the mine's militia.) I decided to load up on tiny diamonds with most of the money from one of the shipments and then stock up on loot boxes but midway through my buying spree I was no longer able to buy more. Hopefully his supply will replenish later, and I got a decent supply of stat boosting magazines, some good weapon mod components, and an M1014 Shotgun which I modded then used to replace my custom Merc's modded Auto-5 Shotgun. Edit: Also is there a full weapon list for the game yet? Just curious because I didn't know many of the weapons mentioned in the comments were in the game.
You can get another PSG-1 by going to the Colonel's fort before confronting him at the refugee camp. Talk to the quartermasters and ask for supplies - one of them will give you a PSG-1.
Found the Camo Vest in another Sector and i own 3xAK74. But yes they are pretty rare. Got also a Plasmatool to open Locks without a Lockpick. Was crafted by Vlad, this Engi Guy. Maybe he crafts some unique Guns.
All things are 100% random in JA3 world. So place and appearances are subject to unstable statisticals variables. Save-alot can help. medium camo armor E20 under tree. medium armor full set J18 rizfield. desert eagle C20, commando C20, M82 smiper .50 B20.
Got Aug from loot boxes (which is really early), also HK21 is possible. Found more than one medium camo armor (2-3). 4 ak74. 4 Augs in total, 3 G36, 4 AA12, but 0 barret m82 and only 1 PSG1 (maybe from Bounce, but I haven't sided with him, probably killed him in the last fight there). heavy armor got 5 sets (legs were rarest drops). as for light armor, got tons of weave pants, 3 weaved helmets, 0 torso. sure, weave can be bought but at late game and it is super rare otherwise (maybe 4 in total).
I've encountered the PSG-1 twice in the game. Same applies to the AK-74. Wlad the Tinkerer made a unique machete/saw mix for me, that looked really painful but I never got to use it.
Try B10U (B10 Underground), I just found 3 more Metaviron vials there. It's not easy to get it, there are like 6-7 crocs and one very strong sniper as well as some hidden landmines inside the cave. The metaviron is at the end of the tunnel.
actually if you stick to the right wall as soon as you enter the cave, you can climb to the other side and get the 4 metavirons without engaging the crocs or the sniper
I got some rare items, Composite Machetes 16dmg/18crits, you get it by talking to the mechanic in the north east mine, he will craft something for you for 10 parts. Like the lootboxes, you will get random items, most are plated armor, i got the machetes and a "plasma crowbar" which is a repairable crowbar. I think max try is 5, so save before asking the guy.
@@hexxatgaming i'm sorry not the mine, D17 theres a mechanic that craft something for you. If he asked for 40 parts dont do it, it will only get you a lousy ak47. Go for 10 or 20 parts, he will craft either plated armor, crowbar or the machete. If im not mistaken, when i receive the machete, i also give him a knife. so prepare the knife on yuor backpack.
@@hexxatgaming Yeah, most people will stop after the crowbar or armor. Nobody mention the machete in youtube, not even in steam. Luckily i got it the first try, so i keep crafting. Maybe something in your backpack trigger something else.
I got around 3-4 AK-74 and I am only half through the campaign. So it does drop quite a lot. I think the drop rate increased after you trigger the Biff event (spoiler so I won’t elaborate). I unfortunately trigger it too early and had a tough time slowly getting everything in control
@@hexxatgaming Nah it's just random. I had 2 playthroughs already on MI and for example, I've not found a single Galil on my second one and not a single CAR15 on my first one. RNGesus gonna be RNGesus.
AK 74 is kinda easy to drop, I got at least 3 of them. Also the camouflage armor, I got 2 of them at the factory(the one with zombies and rabies vaccine), I think they are randomly spawn, you don't actually get them exactly the location you found in your last play.
Ya I got the the Gold Fever and the Roaring Lion but never fired them once. Still rocking my silenced FN FALs for the stealth kills, and with the under-barrel grenade launcher, In the hands of Barry or any with high Explosives it's great at decimating crowds.
I got gold fever as soon as I left the island, it was extremely powerful. The accuracy bonus from being prone, once the sneak phase was done swap to fever and easily 1 shot enemies and reload same turn, you don't have to spend as much ap aiming so you can adjust position little by little and reload no issues
Scapping higher Quality items. Also theres a vendor in port cacao the museum sector. He exchanges for paper money. Has 1/3 chance to give you chip lens or pipe. Hope that helps
On my 2nd playthrough I found PSG1 in the ruined factory (B14) instead of the kevalr set. So I guess we can mark this chest as high tier/rare? P.S Got Steyr and AR-15 on the first floor too lol. Its quite early in the playthrough Ive only conquered Port cacao sectors.
You can get AK-74 at Ille Morat from that engineer guy if you give him parts and you have ak-47 in your inventory. He first gives you a AK-47 and if you keep giving him parts he upgrades it to ak-74
I'll kill Graaf in every playthrough, but his sniper rifle is meh. Unmodifiable, one shot and then have to reload. A lot of the late game best weapons you can get going about your business, but also buy from Bobby Ray's.
PSG1 isn't sniper rifle (sniper rifles have cumbersome trait like Gold Fever). It is a precision rifle (such a big difference...), so you can have free movement. If you use sniper rifles or machine guns or other heavy weapons and don't move much, you can use heavy armor that also removes free movement.
@@Hubert_G Yeah, you are right - I was a bit confused, because it didn't have a cumbersome trait. AFAIK all guns that have pin down action (and small overwatch cone) are sniper rifles.
"The Thing" is garbage. Sure - compare it to a balanced machete and it seems better - but why would you balance a machete? You don't throw it like a knife. You have to compare it to a SHARPENED machete and it really sucks. Sharpened machete - 24 dmg, The Thing - only 18. And with a melee merc you should get the 100% crits on melee attacks perk and The Thing has to go into the bin right away.
@@hexxatgaming I have sharpened my machete once and after a few hundred kills it is still the same. You combine the machete with the sharpener stone and it's done and stays that way. Wouldn't make sense any other way, coz the stone gets "consumed" and a real sharpener stone has an unlimited lifetime.
The difference is the Armor Penetration. Who cares about modes, when you can get Medium Armor Penetration with standard ammo and Heavy Armor Penetration with AP ammo?
