I bought and have been using this helmet daily for the past couple months. Love everything about it. Also accidently ordered the wrong size at first and Unit 1 made the exchange process easy & hassle free. Overall great purchase
Calling your emergency contact is a cool feature. When I had my accident the paramedic called the emergency number on my cell phone. If I would have been alone, nobody would have known anything, and so I can see where this helmet can help with your safety.
Just received mine in 🇦🇺 after using your code and using a shipping on-forwarder. Quality is very very nice, only thing I didn’t realise is the auto brake light feature only seems to work if you are carrying the remote. Must also be a gyro in the helmet for fall detection work to work? So maybe auto brake without remote will come out in a future update 🤷♂️ Also if you use rainbow lights, the battery lasts less than an hour
You’re not lying! I got in on this helmet back when it was on kickstarter. Love the fit/profile. We also gave one of these away in GCO not too long ago. 🤙🏼⚡️
the kickstarter version took a bit to get to us but the overall fit/feel and design was well appreciated. love the braking light ability. Lumos does have a better custom LED system but this one is way better with weight and waterproofing
Also, I ordered the lumos matrix before this one. The lumos felt cheap and didn't feel like a $250 helmet so I returned it and decided to give the Unit 1 Faro a try. Ask Unit 1 if they can use your code on my order, even if it doesn't give me a small refund I'd love for it to help you out. I literally just ordered it on the 15th
I'd be really curious to see where the battery is, and how it's protected in there, personally. Super cool having lights on your head, but not super cool if land on your head and puncture the battery! Yikes. Edit/FYI: I also checked your link and removing the turn signals only brings it down to $240, from $280.
@@JakeLeary I tried manually entering the code, JAKELEARY20, with no luck, but figured out that just by clicking on your link I was able to access the discount via some other code that had the word "Holiday" in it. Appreciate you helping out.
Option 1 = Wear a full face helmet Option 2= Wear a half helmet; but remember during an accident to turn the protected part of your head towards the direction of impact. If you don't think that is a very practical solution; see option 1. Remember kids: a half helmet is half of a helmet.
It'll provide a little bit of light in pitch black, enough to look down and make sure foot placement is right. But definitely wont replace a flashlight
If this is a review of everything on this helmet... Why don't you show a review of the crash detection??? Don't actually crash but hold it and smack it on a wall like a fall or drop it. And TEST if it sends a notice. And TEST the Result of that Notification!!! To your loved one. i.e. how long did it take for the notification??? Did it show the GPS location of where you fell??? Or just tell them that you fell???
Cool looking helmet and probably might be really expensive to get one of these helmets! I am just subscribed to your channel 💯👍🔔🙏 Does Jake Leary respond?
@@JakeLeary Am I missing something? That is a decent price, but when I follow the link you provided it tells me the helmet is $279.80 (without MIPS). 20% doesn't bring it down by $110. Am I doing something wrong here?
