Skilled pilots such as those controlling this flight make the crucial landing/takeoff processes sound like smooth sailing, but such videos show how the pilots must constantly engage and implement the ATC instructions instantly and multi-task...!
Never give up on your dream! But aviation is such, that it needs to be a passion and a dream to better tolerate the ups and downs that are sure to come with the career.

Based on the cockpit equipment, I'm curious if it was tail N37267? (I fly this tail in a sim.) Also wondering why the nosewheel taxi light wasn't on during movement?
Ha. Well, I don't know offhand what tail number it was. By this point in the career (late), I didn't keep a logbook but maybe the company computer did. The nosewheel light? That wasn't something everyone did at my airline. Some guys did. I certainly did in the dark. It was optional in daylight. I fly both MFS/PMDG and XP12 Zibo sims. I think Zibo flys better with the autopilot off, but what do I know? I got about 15k in 737s.
those things get switched around all the time, same with the mcp. likely the original fms had some kind of issue so they swapped the box to whatever compatible equipment they had
@@paulwilson8367 I went out in 2016, but nobody knew or cared it was my last flight. CP office said we might send somebody from the office out if anyone is available, but you have to make a special request. Sure, and you're welcome for keeping over 1 million PAX safe over the last 36 years...
Guys your daytime, full VFR! Hand fly the airplane longer then 1000 feet before minimums. As automation advances on the flight deck, we as pilots must take regular and practical steps to hand fly our airplane as much as possible when appropriate to keep our stick and rudder skills sharp.
You forgot the "pushover" part. You must relax the back pressure just a little to get the nose down and "fly" it onto the runway. This gives a greaser every time. Just like on the 727. I even managed to do this at times on the DC-8. I'm talking about actual airplanes...
