Pax Angevine - II - Expanding the Kingdom In February 1454 Aragon claimed the throne of Portugal and demanded the English help their cause as payment for Aragonese participation in the Hundred Years War. The English did join the war but didn't dedicate their forces to crushing their former ally. *CRUSHING THE CELTS* Scotland and England had been bitter rivals for as long as both Kingdoms had existed, Scotland had been subjugated by England several times prior but these attempts were always short lived. In September 1454 the English King set forth to finally end the Scottish menace, one and for all. In the Winter of 1455 the English marched into the Scottish Lowlands. The Scottish Army retreated into the Highlands, hoping for reinforcements from Ireland to then ambush the England in the mountainous terrain of the North. The problem for the Scots was none of this actually happened, the Scottish Army wasn't even in Scotland and were instead stuck in Ireland. The English Army met them in Ireland but the Armies couldn't fight on neutral ground so they instead swore at each other, hoping the other side would break the peace. The Scottish broke and retreated into the Pale, where they were slaughtered by the English Army. By February 1456 Scotland had been completely occupied. With the French proving to be more difficult to control than expected and the war already over. The English Parliament voted to strip the French nobility of their power and autonomy in early 1456. The French of course rebelled but these rebellions were crushed. The English were here to stay. By August 1457 all of Scotland, Northern Ireland and Britanny were under British occupation. With Scotland under control, England began its campaign to annex the rest of Ireland in December 1457. In March 1459 the final Anglo-Scottish War came to an end. Scotland was finally a vassal of the English crown and would stay that way, William Wallace couldn't save Scotland now. By March of 1459 most of Ireland had been consolidated, only a few Irish Kings remained in power and their freedom would be short-lived. *CONTINENTAL CONQUESTS* With Scotland subjugated and Ireland mostly consolidated, the English crown turned its attention back to the continent. Provence was being thrashed in a war so in November 1460 the English joined the fun and invaded. This excursion into Provence ended in March the next year and the Kingdom was divided between Savoy and France. In December 1464 England invaded Britanny, they hoped to annex the nation and more importantly, isolate Burgundy. As if God himself was angry at rhe English, the heir to the English Throne died in a "Hunting Accident" and this put the stability of the realm and the union between France and England at risk. *HISTORY OVER* I just started an MP game as England andI'm wondering if you've you've any tips for keeping France happy? Because currently my France is looking a lot angrier than yours. Got my ass kicked for France too, took 1k Ducats in loans and Crownland for Marc's and lost my entire army to the French and an excessively long War of the Roses.

I love these long form playthroughs more than the edited content. Glad to see they're back. On a more personal note, my wife an I had our first child 2+ years ago and I'm in my 40s. It was a tough adjustment, but I can tell you that wonderful times are ahead. You can't fathom the joy you'll get from chasing your little one around the house while they giggle with glee. Or the feeling when they see you come home and yell "dada!" and run up to you. It's worth more than any freedoms you lose. I'm really excited for you. I hope you're both doing well, and I'll keep you in my prayers.

Always nice playthrough you deliver us. And always funny to see people struggle with french :D Our speeling is off the chart, "haut" is pronounce "o" for exemple. H and T are silent. AU is pronounce O. And to make sense, you have to study so much and still... then no surprise why french aren't good at french either :D

I love watching your channel man, I have about 1000 hours in the game and I'm just always so amazed at how efficiently you play this game. It's like you have 0 wasted actions the entire game. Like I'd be a few hundred steps behind you at all times if we were in a lobby. I'm convinced you could wc with any country in the game no problem.

Played Angevin today and had a real blast. However Nevers ended up being a vassal under France from the Burgundian inheritance so I couldn't finish that mission for ages. Also damn the EU3 music is nostaligic
