Brah this is like every major city on the north east, probably other big cities too. People don't care. They're too busy checking their insta and shit. At this point, I think its good if they dont just panic and break and block the vehicle.
it is amazing the way people need to block all the lanes on a road at a red light when a fire truck or other rescue vehicle is coming if a rescue vehicle is going to come leave a lane so they can get through just common sense than they do not have to go on other side or on median/sidewalk etc putting people in danger just stupid to block all lanes if a rescue vehicle is coming while the light is red
Most people do not look behind them when they drive so are unaware of the emergency vehicle. So they get in a lane with cars in front and on both sides and don't know what to do.
Yes that's the firehouse siren. Most Volunteer Fire Departments still use their siren. The house siren heard at the beginning of this video was a Federal Signal STH-10
I like listening to music while driving, but I don't know about having it going while responding to an incident. You would think you might want to hear what is being relayed on the radio and to what the captain and engineer are talking about... Im sure there might be some tid bits of information that can be gathered by listening to the radio traffic.
Let me get this straight... instead of taking the straight path and then turning left at the intersection at 1:17, they instead pushed cars through a red light thus making a dangerous situation (any code 3 response) even more dangerous?
Shopping mall, so lots of potential hazards - lots of people, high fire potential, things like that. But basically anywhere lots of lives at risk are "high hazard" or "target hazard" structures....
We use the term high risk on West coast, usually hospitals, senior centers, schools, and the like. They are "High risk" though because the people there have a hard time evacuating those places, as they require assistance, or even ALS care during the evacuation, or young and can't get out on their own, at least not without instruction.
That is total disrespect not pulling over when fire engines are behind the motorist with lights and siren on. Motorist are the same way here in Elmira NY they don't want to take a few seconds and pull over to let the fire engines by when they are responding to a call. Two problems, Ann: one, if one of those cars stuck in traffic did the right thing and pulled over to the right in front of the engine, the fire department would have been found at fault for the accident. Second, by passing on the right, especially at speed, (and watch the video again, because that appears to be his first choice) his presence forces vehicle to the left, and that causes more liability for the fire department for any resultant accidents. It's a lose-lose.
Not sure who was driving but they need to never drive again.one stay in the left lane.and when making a left way not take the long way. Why push traffic in to more traffic.makes no sense to me at all.
