100% worth it for me. The depth and detail are significantly improved. The biggest effect is a more "3d vs 2d" effect due to the efficient use of HDR. And at less than $10/movie these days it is a no brainer for me. I love these films and will always want the best possible presentation for home viewing.

I know I’m in the minority, but my favorite Karloff Frankenstein film has always been “Son of Frankenstein”. Maybe because it was the first one I saw. But also due to Basil Rathbone’s doctor, Bela Lugosi’s Ygor, & Lionel Atwill’s inspector. Also the sets are so weird & atmospheric. Just a great movie!

That 30 film collection is amazing. I got it and loved it. Theres actually 31 films if you count the spanish version of Dracula. One film for every day of october

Several months ago I picked up the thirty film Universal Classic Monsters collection at my local Goodwill store. I asked them how much they wanted and the manager told me $8!!! I told them I would pay $10 which I did. This has to be one of the greatest deals of all time....

I treated myself to all the dvds a few months ago and they cost me about £80, I thought that was a bargain but you definitely got the better bargain lol

Daniel these Universal monsters were and still is amazingly emotional rollercoaster ride, Boris Karloff, Bela Lugosi, Lon Chaney junior great stuff if only they'd lower their prices, 30 film boxset in the UK selling at 180 quid on bluray such as life. Like your You-Tube podcast keep doing ur stuff.

Those "Classic Collection" VHS releases were how I first experienced the Monsters, after reading about them in the old Crestwood House book series that my elementary school library had. Great memories collecting and watching those movies growing up in the '90s. I also have the same first Blu-ray set (the U.K. version) that I imported because it was about half the price of the domestic release at the time!

I have the same collection for the movies, so good! Honestly, about 4K, i'm the type of person who doesn't think 4k is necessary, tbf, i didn't even got BD for all the movies i have in dvd, only the ones i felt it's needed or that it's too big of an upgrade.

The creature from the black lagoon has always been my favorite and is a great trilogy. Walks among us has a very morbid ending. Its almost a fitting end as its the last film in that boxset to come out

I❤Frankenstein espacially the 3rd ,son of F.' It is underrated. But I have a special relationship to ,the wolfman'. When we were Kids my 2 Cousins and me wanted to sleep in a tent in my garden one night in summer. But before we secretly watched ,the wolfman' on TV.😬 When we were back in the tent the neighbours' dog began Howling and 20 minutes later 3 boys were lying at home in their beds again.😄 We really feared Larry Talbot coming around 🥶 So this is Unforgettable for me 🙂

I love the Universal monster movies. First thing I thought of when you showed your figurines was that scene in Salem's Lot in Mark's bedroom with his monster collection. Hope you don't get any nighttime visitors at your window. Terrific video as always. I upgraded to the BD's for these movies but I don't think I'll get the 4k.

I remember those VHS tapes!! First time I saw Werewolf of London it freaked me out. Tho the Lon Chaney Wolfman was always my favorite. The Abbott & Costello horror comedies are great!

Yes indeed.. Wonderful Pack.I bought it many years ago and it still looks wonderful. The Bride of Frankenstein is just such unique and perfect film, but maybe the film I love most in the Pack could be "The Invisible man" with the always perfect Claude Rains. Great Video and Greetings from Spain 🎉

Do you buy the non-franchise Universal horror/mystery horror movies? Shout! put out most of them in 4 movie Blu-ray box sets. There are a few individual discs, too and all of the '50s sci-fi movies.

THE MUMMY'S HAND is *NOT* a direct sequel to THE MUMMY! It begins an entirely separate series, and the only connection is that a living mummy is involved. Why do people have this asinine idea that the Karloff film is connected in any way to the later series?! Karloff mummy: Imhotep/Ardeth Bey - other mummy series: Kharis. TOTALLY DIFFERENT AND UNCONNECTED! 😠🤬😠🤬😠
