The best time to do river adventure is at night as many effects are not visible or apparent when watching during the day time plus in bright light many things do not look as realistic as they do in the dark. Your visibility inside before the drop is also improved so you may be able to spot additional effects. If you are worried about getting wet then go to the splash down and look at the water levels as there should be multiple levels of discoloration for how much water is in the splash down. The greater the amount the more you get wet. The less water there is the less of a splash there will be. If there has been a lot of rain then the splash area will be pretty full but if there has been a drought then the water level will be lower as universal rarely likes to pump in additional water unless its after a repair period.

It’s Huckle barrier not huckleberry in the movie, it refers to the handles on the side of a casket, which are called huckles in the 1800’s , Val Kilmer actual pronounces it Huckle Barrier if you listen close. Also, Tyler and Anna, me and my girlfriend love ya’ll! We met y’all for the second time at the last meet up, you were so friendly and great to talk to. Most of the other Folgers out there are so self absorbed and barely make time for their fans, please, never change! All of your videos are great and so informative when planning a visit to the parks. Thank you so much!

Huckleberry is blueberry. I grew up in Pennsylvania and that’s what we called them. My grandmother used to me THE BEST huckleberry cake.

It’s not the same as a blueberry. It is its own separate berry. The flavor is a mix between raspberry and blueberry and can sometimes have bitterness or tartness. The red ones are tart. The purple, blue, and black ones are sweeter.

Oh man, I love mushy fries, too 😂! And Tyler, I totally understand about conning someone on a ride. I talked my hubby onto the Gaurdians of the Galaxy: mission breakout. He rode the ride when it was Tower of Terror and hated it. He had no idea until just before the last drop where it opens up and he looks put at the park...yeah, he won't believe me every again to go on a ride lol. And also it is NOT a fry! It's a potato wedge 😂😂😂

I'm not a big fan of ice cream, but soft-serve Butterbeer is fantastic. It's a MUST DO every time my wife and I go to Universal. Curly fries definitely aren't my favorite. On RRR I always use the secret song list. My two favorites are Lose Yourself and Float On. Both are great songs and both are amazing while on RRR. I can't believe Tyler didn't like some MCR while on RRR though. It's a great song. I know exactly what Tyler is talking about with Velocicoaster and the rocks lol and it is amazing at night for sure (so is Hagrid's, The Hulk, RRR, and High in the Sky Seuss Trolley Train ride). I definitely want to try JPRA and Rip Saw Falls at night. The reference to the old videos and the Halloween joke 🤣 The potatoes at the Three Broomsticks are absolutely not fries (sorry Tyler). They are potato wedges which are completely different than french fries. I definitely need to try the apple pie (the best dessert by a mile imo).

Hi Anna & Tyler, I have not studied the Fries of Universal as much as the two of you have, I do like a different kinds of fries, the important thing is that they be fresh, the sooner out of the fryer the better. I would be interested in what you had to say about the fries at Hard Rock, but my favor there is the Onion Rings and they are AWESOME. On the topic of Velocicoaster at night, YESSSS, also Hagrid’s at Night. They are both great coasters during the daytime, but they are AWESOME at night, if I have a choice, I would prefer to so them at night. Ken.

Hi! This is like my 4th comment about the same thing but I’m sorry I just can’t stop talking about it because of how much of an amazing experience it was! I went to the OI meetup on December 9th and I was having a good time, me and my mom just got off velocicoaster and we were walking to Harry Potter land and on the bridge I saw Tyler talking to fans and my heart skipped a beat. I’ve been wondering the whole time if you guys were gonna be there and I’ve been on the lookout the whole time for you guys. We got behind the fans he was talking to and waited until he was done talking to them and then it was my turn and my mom was talking with him because I was shy. I was in complete shock and it didn’t feel real but then I saw you walking over and you started talking to fans and I wanted to take a picture with both of you guys so we were waiting for a while until you came over and I took a picture with you guys and that made my night even better than it already was. Tyler told us that you guys were there the day before but went back the next day because he had to get more footage. Then later in studios I saw you guys again at the table where you can secure tickets for next year and you guys were talking to people and I waved at you guys and I got left hanging lol but it’s ok because you guys were talking to people and didn’t see me. But it was just amazing experience and I’ll never forget it!

@@ThePughTwo This past Dec OI was the first time I have had it and I can’t wait for the trip back this Dec to get it again! You two are awesome! Your passion for Universal has me planning to go every year now. 2 years ago I was on a WDW vacation with my kids and while waiting in the Phantasmic line one of my daughters mentioned to someone that we were going to Universal the next day… she informed us that the OI meetup was gonna shut the park down early and bells rang in my head… I only knew what that was because of you! I jumped on my phone and got TIX for one night of the meetup and it was the best day of our trip… I went back again this past Dec for both nights of the meetup and already have my rooms booked for this Dec and am just waiting for the TIX to go on sale… thank you for your fun and passionate way of showing me the world of Universal… I’m a fan now… of you and Universal!

Great video, love coasters after dark! I agree with Anna, Richter's fries are super tasty, their salads are also really good. I actually ate a fair amount of my wife's fries because I liked them so much after getting a salad. Lol Also.. I align with wedges not being fries.. if wedges are fries then you also have to include tater tots and we all know who wins that competition. Right?

I love Curly fries I find them soooo good. My favorite fries I got there I believe it was from Wimpy's their curly fries. I loved them so much I wish I could go back just to have them again. On another note as well. I was thinking of a good video you could do. I have not see anyone doing this but what are the best places to eat around Universal or Disney that are not in the parks or Citywalk/Disney Springs. So just good places to go eat within walking distance that is affordable and good.

I am Team Anna with the “fries” from Three Broomsticks are indeed wedges. However I am Team Tyler in that curly fries are awesome. I do enjoy season salt on fries but I like ‘em crispy and less potatoe-y. Also, Tyler you totally didn’t make your mom ride Velocicoaster and she’s a rockstar for doing it! It’ll forever be a memory that’ll stick with you all for many years to come.

It is in blueberry family but to me it is very floral. I have not had that ice cream there but in Montana we have huckleberry everything

Potato wedges are ABSOLUTELY fries. If the challenge is what is the best fast food/school cafeteria fry in the park, sure, but you can't reasonably include curly and then decide that a more elevated fry doesn't count. Though I've not yet run the gamut on fries, given your reactions to taste, and the general expectation of potato wedges and lack of extensive seasoning on alternatives, I've got to give it to potato wedges. Now some Red Robin seasoning on the crinkle fries or a touch less grease on the curly fries, and it may be back to debatable.

Let me introduce my counter argument: curly fries have fries in the name, hence a fry! Potato wedges are such not a fry, they’re called WEDGES! 😂😂 they’re delicious though lol

While not sold at Universal, they are sold nationally and have the consistency of potato wedges, muddying up the nice distinction. I will join the picket line for the inclusion of waffle fries.
