I love Jeopardy too. You might be interested to know that University Challenge is based on an American show called College Bowl, which ran for a few years and is long now ceased.
Manchester team is excellent. Gilbert is a terrific team captain and he is ably supported by Barr and Brown. Brice was a bit expendable, but that's OK for this round when you have three strong players on a four person team.
