Hi Jennifer, thanks for commenting. Over the past 10 years I have not been going to university, but I started reading regularly 6 years ago. This habit has changed the way I do any challenging task because I approach it, especially if it's big, with a consistent daily habit, chipping away at it. The results are amazing!
Hi Janet! That's really good to hear. The courses are truly fascinating and I believe will help you improve a whole lot especially if you are teaching or are a principal. Which courses are you registered for? I was unable to get into the courses for this month because all the courses I have not taken were already fully booked. So I'll definitely be back next term.
@@BookMattic I'm only able to take one course a term, so my first one was Educational Philosophy - now I'm on to Curriculum Design. So far, I'm really enjoying it! Sorry to hear that you weren't able to get into courses last term - they fill up quickly. Good luck in the coming term!

This term I'm taking barriers to learning and assessment and evaluation. So far not my favorite classes but at least I'm getting them done. Good luck to you as well!
Hi Matt, I apologize for my last message as it was not clear enough. This is my actual question to you: Please advice, it would really help. Do I need a masters degree in education if i have a teaching certificate from Moreland University? I am already working in an International school as an IB DP Math teacher and completed all the IB Math related workshops as well. As you know the cost to obtain the teaching certificate is approx. $6500 and MEd. is $4500. I can only afford one, cannot seem to figure out which one to give priority to.
That honestly could totally depend on the school's regulations and/or government regulations. For example, in Indonesia, I need to have a master's of education, and I was also required to get the teaching qualification from America. My best advice for you would be to check with the principal at your school to see whether you need both or just one and which one is the most important. You could also back up what the principal has told you by doing a bit of research in the country that you're in to see what the governmental regulations are.

Hi, glad you found the video interesting. I'm currently about a month away from finishing the program and will film another two videos about this topic with more detail especially pertaining to your question. But to give you just a heads up, I'm in the Moreland candidate’s Facebook group where many people have posted about their experiences getting their teaching license after finishing the Moreland program. Some of these stories seemed like they got their license easily and others had a bit more difficulty especially with the changes in the Hawaii license. Based on what I've seen, it's best to go with Arizona or Washington DC. I'll put up an update video soon and then one during or after I get the actual license. Hope this helps.
Great to hear from you. I didn't take my M.Ed at Moreland but I did take the Teacher Certification program and that was very helpful for getting officially certified through the US government as they have certified advisors that can help you through the process after you finish the program. I took my M.Ed at UoPeople and just graduated with a 4.0 at the end of May. Let me know if you have any other questions.
