A turkey fryer with 50/50 water and Simple Green mixture works as degreaser AND paint/powder coat remover when headed to around 200⁰F. I saw this on another channel, tried it and it really worked well! I don't use other strippers anymore! Also, when using the screws/bolts, use thread locking compound! The last thing you need is one coming loose and destroying the engine.

Thanks for the tip on the clay. You were talking about heated cleaning. I have a large pot i use. I heat it on the bbq with my part in it then take it out, put it in my harbor freight parts cleaner then pour the hot degreaser in and run my pump brushing the parts. That works really well for me.

@@UnknownCoatings I do alot of kseries so it's perfect! I use alot of tape and a cover I made but this clay idea is more reasonable forsure. Thanks 🤙

...Yes, I'd love to know how you drill and tap. I've done it for other stuff, but getting rivets off always ends up with me putting more gouges than I'd like in the surface I don't want to scrape up. Thanks!

What about acid dipping them with the baffling still in? I have one heck of a time getting all the old powder out! I dunk it and drain it like 50 freaking times hahaha.

buy some copper mesh scouring pads. shove them in the holes like you do clay, stops the chunks
