Unknownboards M5 Electric skateboard Review - Everything you need to know 

I have had mine now for three weeks, love it. More speed than I need, VX3 controller is perfect. Change bushings to Orangotang nipples a huge improvment. cannot fault the board well done Ricky

My issue with the board are few, but specific. If you're still using the Tenka, I'd say you should reconsider that, or at least highlight the fact that there's a very real ceiling with that ESC, and that its performance and longevity isn't at all tested with any real scrutiny. I understand it's a cheap VESC based controller that's currently available, but it's limits are real, and they need to be underlined. Also, looking at the motors, the braided sleeve really should extend into the enclosure. I've built with similar motors, and while the phase wires are longer and robust than others, they're still soft silicone insulated and subject to cuts from road debris. Either order the part with longer sheathing, or take the time and do it yourself. Default use of the VX1 isn't something I'd say is surprising, but it is unfortunate. Their reliability is very low, and the amounts of cutouts in high signal areas is legitimately dangerous. Sure, not everyone lives in NYC, but the risk is real. Best of luck with the venture. I just ask that if you're going to offer an alternative to what's on the market, put as much attention into the details as you can. And for the love of God, if you're outsourcing the battery packs, inspect them. Open them up and actually look at how they're built. At this point, it's inexcusable what many pack builders are passing off as safe. The battery community in eskate is relatively small but very knowledgeable. Consult with as many as possible when it comes to the most important part of the board. Specs are hollow if quality and workmanship isn't there.

100 miles into my M5. Amazing ride feel I agree. Brakes need to be stronger for me. Agree slightly longer deck would be better. I’m 90kg and for me in gear 4 aggressive riding it is a 15 mile board. Some minor build quality issues such as bolts missing countersunk washers and not using nylock nuts. Bushings def too soft also had to fix belt tension and two tyres don’t track true. However the biggest issue I have is that I have had three cutouts when fast accelerating, hoping this is a vesc fix, waiting to hear…

This does seem like really good value for money as far as boards in this price range go. I would love to get my hands on one and am looking forward to seeing the comparison with the black carve 2 as that is what I am currently riding. The looks are the only part of this board that I'm not wild about but I'm not really super attached to the exposed wood/ bamboo look that you get on so many boards. Could be cool to see a more blackended version in the future. Also being able to create alternatives to the hex pattern grip tape design seems really cool. A wheel remote with a screen would be cool in the future. Thanks for the vid.

Good review and interesting board. Two questions, are the trucks the generic Chinese ones you criticized before and thought evolve trucks perform way better? When testing the flex it looked like a gap formed between the board and the enclose or am I wrong? Thanks

I have the 50 mm at wheelsv for my lycaon trx 2 and they are sunmate as well , do you guys have issues with them being unbalanced at all . I cannot get mine to seat true and they are un ridable . cheers

may I ask... what is the current esk8 law... I've heard this has been brought over to the e-scooter laws where we cannot use this in public areas.. ... what are your opinion, and /or does this still fall inline with what we already know????

I dunno because the braking is a separate trigger I can’t get used to using my thumb for braking and my pointer for acceleration. My breaking feels inconsistent. 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

I hope they made another attempt. I think people would definitely still buy this board, and they could build customer trust over a period of time.

J'ai le mien depuis plus de deux mois . Débutant confirmé, j'ai parcouru plus de 600 kilomètres avec . Aucune chute, un pied total à chaque sortie, planche très confortable et sure. J'envisage de changer les gommes pour des plus dures aussi, la planche guidonne un peu à haute vitesse ( je fait 82 kilos ). J'attends juste le reste de ma commande, à savoir la VX 3, le chargeur rapide supplémentaire ainsi que deux autres courroies. Faut juste pas être pressé !!!!!!

Dude, don't waste your time reviewing evolve, you know as well as me there ain't much improvement with the hayden compared to the gt'sfor the price you pay. If I saved my money over the past few years instead of having the R2 repaired or replaced, I would of given that a whirl. I can't wait to have my whole mind on the race and not part of it on the R2.
